Getting Along

We Got Married: Changkyu Version

They all waited as the camera crew finished setting up. Kyuhyun and Changmin sat as far away as they could from each other. But of course, the other Super Junior and DBSK members pulled them together since they couldn't have their maknaes on bad terms. Well, not in front of the camera anyway. They were all sort of panicked that the two did not at all seem to get along, though, that was far from the truth.

After misunderstandings were told and apologises were said, Kyuhyun and Changmin then decided to act distant from each other; and that was only for their hyungs. It was amusing watching their hyungs give each other stares that basically question what on Earth is going on, and they're both fine with that. Changmin gave Kyuhyun a quick glance, to which he gave a discreet smile before looking away.

Soon, the director appeared and told them that they were about to start recording.

It was silent, awkwardly silent. They watched intensely as the cameraman finally actioned that the film was finally starting. Kyuhyun and Changmin still triedavoided each other, though anyone who paid attention would have noticed that the atmosphere was, at the very least, less tense than before. Which was an improvement. Perhaps.

"We are now filming." The producer said, the Super Junior and DBSK members nervously nodded. Now, they had to finally get the maknaes of theirs on somewhat 'good' terms.

"Okay, now, we have a couple tasks for you guys to do." Eunhyuk started, shivering when both maknaes actually glared at him. Neither one of them actually knew when it was agreed that they'd do that together, but it was a sort of subconscious thing that seemed to fit. They were maknaes after all, and 'evil' ones at that.

"Like?" Asked Kyuhyun, trying to keep the annoyed look on his face.

"First, we want you to give each other some nicknames." Donghae replied.

Thus, the silence came into play.

Nobody said a word.

"Come on maknaes, don't be so awkward. " Yunho started, though thinking it was 'despise' rather than actual awkwardness.

"What type of nickname?" Asked Changmin; it sounded more like a challenge than a question, A sort of, 'what am I allowed to do and what am I not allowed to do?' kind of thing.

"Any nickname, just something to show your affection or something." Jaejoong added. With those words, Kyuhyun stared blankly at Changmin. Something surged between them, something warm, strong, interesting.

"...Well then, how about 'idiot'?" Kyuhyun suggested, Changmin glared. But the older maknae could tell it wasn't hatred, but more of an acceptance to a challenge; his challenge.

Changmin watched as Kyuhyun's eyes shimmered in delight.

"Well how about 'bastard'?" Changmin retorted, the silence following was tense. Even the producers, staff and crew were unsure of what to do. That's why they needed the Super Junior and DBSK members to deal with it.

"...Hey, you're supposed to be friends. Or lovers." Yoochun spoke, the maknaes glared at him in union.

"Okay, I get the feeling that they really just hate each other..." Junsu muttered quietly, speaking the obvious. Or at least, what seemed to be the obvious.

"Hm, whatever, for the show... Isn't that right, Changmin-ah?" Kyuhyun asked with his sickly sweet smile that Changmin could have choked on. The younger raised a brow, trying to stop a laugh from escaping his throat.

Changmin straightened his back and coughed, "...Of course, Kyuhyun-shii."

"Stop it." Jaejoong began,  "We have a couple tasks you have to do."

Kyuhyun stared, "Like what?"

Silence.

"You tell us you have tasks, but you haven't even thought of anything." Changmin muttered. Kyuhyun gave a light nod in agreement.

"Well we never thought that we'd actually reach this stage." Eunhyuk replied, implying that they never thought the maknaes would actually manage to not kill each other. Honestly, they had bet that the maknaes would be at each other's throats by the time they reached the park. Thus, they made no plans.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Kyuhyun asked, curious of what was going through his hyungs minds. Changmin was surprised that Kyuhyun actually wanted to know.

"I think that it's kind of hard to get on with tasks if you guys don't even get along with each other." Junsu said. The maknaes glared at him lightly for just a second, this was going well.

"True, so why don't you guys just sit down next to each other and get to know each other." Yoochun suggested, pointing to the bench. The maknaes stared once again.

"...We did that already, it didn't seem to work." Kyuhyun muttered quietly.

"Try. We'll try and try again until you guys finally find something in common." Donghae spoke.

"Go." Jaejoong said as he pushed the maknaes towards the bench. With an entire crew behind them, the maknaes stared at each other from the side and gave tiny smirks. That was amusing, and they had also managed to make their hyungs leave. Killing two birds with one stone perhaps, though a vulgar terminology Kyuhyun thought to himself.

They had walked to the bench, then sat themselves down. Now the pressure of being a 'couple' was being felt, cheeks becoming heated slightly and body becoming tense. But it was more comfortable that before.

"What do you like doing?" Changmin started casually, the crew in front of them shocked by the sudden change of atmosphere. This one actually felt pleasant, and especially when compared to previously..

"I like to listen to music." Kyuhyun replied, the obvious thing for any singer to like. Changmin raised a brow, giving an expression that said, 'Oh, really? I wouldn't have guessed'. The obviousness was almost sickening, but then Kyuhyun gave him back an amused look.

Changmin shook his head with a hidden smile, "Me too."

"How many songs are there on your Ipod?" Kyuhyun asked back, a sort of odd question to be honest. Kyuhyun stared into Changmin's eyes, waiting for an answer, to which the younger was silent for a second, distracted by their beauty.

"...I had 5000 songs, then Yunho hyung deleted them." Changmin muttered with gritted teeth when he remembered the scene, reluctantly breaking eye-contact with Kyuhyun and looking towards the ground. And for the first time that day, Changmin heard Kyuhyun giggle. Changmin had never heard Kyuhyun laugh before, so it was a somewhat knew feeling. The laugh was melodic, just like his singing voice which Changmin refused to admit that he loved. As the DBSK maknae looked up, his eyes eager. Kyuhyun smiled gently, happily, his eyes shining. Changmin didn't know why, but he couldn't help but think it was one of the most beautiful smiles he had ever seen.

"Seriously?" Kyuhyun asked, "Wow, that's just sad."

He breathed, stifling a laugh and giving a sympathetic smile. Kyuhyun's fingers were long and curved as they brushed away his loose strands of hair, Changmin questioning why he even noticed that as the younger quickly look downwards.

"I know, right?" Changmin spoke. Another silence quickly entered once again, but it was this gentle, undisturbed sort of peace. Without their hyungs, they could manage fine.

"I like to play Starcraft." Kyuhyun then suddenly said.

Changmin looked up when the sentence was spoken, his eyes shining as he stared into Kyuhyun's. Finally, something they could do together, something they really had in common. Kyuhyun gave a questioning stare, though, a sort of excitement and expectancy was seen.

"I do too." Changmin replied as the elder smiled happily, "What's your username?"

Honestly, for the two maknaes, asking for a username was basically the equivalent of asking for a phone number.

"...I can't say that on live television. Do you have some paper?" Kyuhyun asked, not wanting his username to be exposed. Changmin nodded, put his hand in his pocket, and pulled out some paper and a pen. Kyuhyun couldn't help but find it a bit humourous that Changmin had such a thing in his pocket and such a lucky time.

"Here you go." Kyuhyun said as he wrote it down and handed it back to the younge

"Thanks, I'll message you. We'll verse each other sometimes." Changmin spoke with a smile, Kyuhyyun nodded happily. And for the maknaes, versing each other was equivalent to texting each other perhaps.

"That sounds good." Kyuhyun muttered with a satisfied expression. Quickly, the discussion vanished and Changmin was desperate to find something else to talk about. Though the silence wasn't uncomfortable, for some reason, he didn't want to lose the air of this conversation.

"...So, what's your favourite food?" Changmin asked, Kyuhyun stared and laughed quietly with such a question.

"Anything works."

"Wow, that sounds like something I would say."

The elder nodded.

"I know, I saw you saying it on some Japanese television show." Kyuhyun stated without really thinking about it much. Changmin stared at the elder, his eyes widened just slightly.

"...You watched a Japanese show with DBSK on it?" Changmin asked. And when he questioned the other, Kyuhyun's eye widened. Only now did he really realise what he said. The elder maknae blushed and looked away.

Changmin obviously noticed.

"...I cannot confirm or deny anything." Kyuhyun replied, Changmin raised a brow. He had never heard anyone say that.

"What?"

"I cannot confirm or deny anything."

"Why?" Changmin questioned, wanting an answer. Kyuhyun looked back to Changmin. That mischievious look was in the Super Junior maknae's eyes. Changmin stared, he hadn't seen that look before.

"...Because I can't?" Kyuhyun asked back, Changmin stifled a quiet laugh.

"Liar."

"All lies come from truth."

"Another lie."

"It may be a lie but it sounds smart." Kyuhyun retorted with a rather happy expression. Changmin laughed quietly. For some reason, as the conversation progressed, Kyuhyun seemed to become more and more childish. But Changmin really didn't mind, he liked the other maknae like this.

"Agreed."

"So, do you like to drink wine or do you only like beer?"

"...I can drink wine also." Changmin muttered. For some reason, even though Changmin didn't often drink wine, he replied in such a way. Perhaps it was because Changmin wanted to find the same interest with Kyuhyun.

"Good, because I really don't drink beer. Let's go to a bar together or something. We can invite Minho." Kyuhyun smiled back, Changmin stared with a somewhat 'unbelieving' look.

"You're close to Minho? SHINee's Minho?" Changmin asked, Kyuhyun nodded.

"Of course I am, I'm close to all of SHINee. Jonghyun and I often sing together, Kibum and I like to take photos, I usually go out to eat with Jinki, I play around a lot with Minho, and Taemin keeps nagging me to drink alcohol together. He seems to have gotten a taste for wine and beer." Kyuhyun joked in a somewhat happy way, the wind blew through his hair.

"Wow, how do you know them?" Changmin asked.

"I met them and we just became close I guess." Kyuhyun replied with a light shrug and a happy expression.

"Do you play any instruments?" Changmin thenquestioned.

"I can play the piano, harmonica and the clarinet." Kyuhyun spoke back, Changmin nodded.

"Cool, I can play the guitar and stuff. Played the flute in the first year of high school."

"I never asked." Kyuhyun retorted playfully, Changmin stared back at the other maknae with a light glare before sighing. Kyuhyun saw the expression on Changmin's face and laughed softly once again. "Wow, your expression is so funny. Maybe that explains why you look as old." Kyuhyun laughed.

Changmin stared at the elder and stifled a smile.

"It would be better if you just stayed quiet." He muttered as he ruffled his own hair and looked away, trying to hide the light blush on his cheeks.

"Same goes for you." Kyuhyun muttered. And at that point, Changmin noticed something.

"Hey, don't you spend any time in the Sun? Why are you so pale for?" Changmin asked with a somewhat wondrous tone. Kyuhyun stared back, giving a slight pout which Changmin found adorable.

"I do spend time in the Sun. I'm just like this."

"Really?"

"...I play games inside a lot." Kyuhyun finally spoke, Changmin laughed quietly at the look on the Super Junior maknae's face.

"Well that explains it." Changmin muttered, Kyuhyun's pout was still on his lips.

"Why are you so tall?"

"...Because I'm born like that. And I eat a lot." Changmin replied to the other.

"I eat a lot as well but I'm not that tall." Kyuhyun retorted quickly, somewhat offending himself. Changmin laughed at Kyuhyun once again, maybe he could get used to this.

"What university do you go to?" Changmin asked. When he said that, Kyuhyun's expression became blank.

He raised a brow, "...Don't we go to the same university?"

Changmin stared back with a somewhat surprised look.

"We do?"

"Well, considering I always see you there, we do."

"What class do you take?" Changmin asked, wondering why he had never seen Kyuhyun at his university. Kyuhyun stared back with the same dull expression, not understanding really.

"...Yours."

"Really?"

"I sit directly behind you, it's just that you never bother to turn around." Kyuhyun muttered, Changmin's eyes widened.

"...How come  you never said 'hi'?" Changmin asked, Kyuhyun simply smirked at the other.

"We weren't married then." Kyuhyun replied bluntly, Changmin forced the smile to stay off his lips.

"Okay, whatever. I guess then I'll be seeing you often. Not just at filming this."

"Of course. Don't forget that we're going to see each other and Music Bank as well."

"...Oh, I forgot."

"You mean you didn't know." Kyuhyun quickly corrected, Changmin stared at the other with a slightly annoyed expression. The elder pretended not to notice though, "Anyway, there's a game convention on Saturday, want to go with me?" Kyuhyun asked, Changmin would have probably been too tired to go, but when he saw the light shining in Kyuhyun's eyes, he couldn't reject.

"...Sure."

"Okay, I'll see you this week of Saturay, the filming next week and Music Bank on Sunday."

"See you then, right?"

"Yeah. See you then."

And thus, the filming ended like that. Kyuhyun and Changmin were getting along rather well. They were looking forward to seeing each other on Saturday, but they were not looking forward to being teased by their hyungs when they returned home.

...How was it? Sorry it took so long to update, I wasn't really inspired by anything and no new Changkyu news was coming out... And if you didn't know already, I'm going to Cambodia today. So, I'm taking a 5 week hiatus. Once I come back to Australia, I'm sure I'll have a lot to write about. When I come back, I swear I'll update. But now, I'm officially on hiatus~ ^^
