The Escape

We Got Married: Changkyu Version

Changmin and Kyuhyun stared, admiring their work. Staring, there was so much pride and happiness in their eyes. The entire room was carefully rigged, strings connected to various objects such as needles and weights, while items were glued to the ceiling like a water bottle and a bag of bread crumbs. All the items were decorated across the room, coming from the left, right and center. The two maknaes have never seen anything more beautiful. Kyuhyun was very careful as he squatted, picking up his and Changmin's bag, not wanting to accidentally tug the strings. Kyuhyun handed one of the bags to Changmin who took it.

"So, what do we do now?" Changmin questioned, wondering how they were going to escape through the vent. It was honestly a rather far-fetched idea by his standards, but Changmin had some sort of strange trust in Kyuhyun, so he didn't question it too much.

Kyuhyun turned to Changmin, placing his hand out. The other gave a confused look, Kyuhyun looking as amused as he usually did, "Screw driver please."

With those words, Changmin looked around, noticing that it was on the bench beside him. Without fail, Changmin picked it up and handed it to Kyuhyun, who then stepped onto the bench. The elder stretched, using the screwdriver to release the frame so that the two could climb into it. Changmin couldn't help but grin at the whole sight, "I didn't know it was possible to have such a skill for escaping locked rooms."

"Yeah, it's a hidden talent. Now come on, help me up." Kyuhyun spoke as he took out all four screws, carefully placing the filter onto the bench. Changmin was a little confused by Kyuhyun's hand tugging on his own, a little request to help the other.

"Why?" Changmin asked, Kyuhyun gave a light pout as a red tint began to spread on his cheeks.

"Because I have basically no muscles in my upper body." Kyuhyun stated, almost reluctantly as a little smirk acrossed Changmin's lips. The elder bit his lower lip, that expression was so annoying, and he felt embarrassed when being looked at in such a way. Honestly, it was something he disliked to admit, but Kyuhyun couldn't deny it. He really didn't work out at all.

"Yeah, I've noticed." Changmin replied simply, Kyuhyun feeling his cheeks heat up a little more. Though, Kyuhyun simply looked forward as he tried to keep his dignity in tact.

"Hurry up!" Kyuhyun shouted, causing Changmin to tense slightly. He hadn't really expected Kyuhyun to become so snappy. Though, Changmin wasn't going to say anything about it now. Mayber later. So with that, Changmin stepped onto the bench. He stared up to where the vent was, which was just a couple centimeters over their heads. Analysing that, Changmin's hands went to Kyuhyun's waist, the younger then pushing him up. Changmin hadn't honestly realised what boundaries of intimacy he had passed until Kyuhyun had reached the point in which he was able to enter. Kyuhyun held onto the sides, entering head first. The elder stuttered, "T-Thanks."

The feeling of Kyuhyun's body heat was lingering on his hands.

Changmin gave a simple nod as he tried to 'play cool', then handing Kyuhyun both their bags. After, jumping up to hold onto the sides of the vent, Changmin managed to pull himself up. Or, more like the ridges, where the vent's frame was meant to go. As Changmin entered, he realised just how small the area was. It was rectangular, the width of the vent giving Changmin only a little free space, but the ceiling was so low Changmin had to be on his knees and bend his back. "It's tiny in here. I've never felt so trapped."

To that, Kyuhyun gave him a fairly bemused look as a bag was passed. He sat with his legs crossed, back arched less than Changmin. Perhaps being shorter wasn't all that bad. Kyuhyun raised a brow, "Well what did you expect? A suite? It's a vent, there's nothing much to it. Now just follow me." Kyuhyun then turned, then moving towards the left, shoulder bag slung over his shoulder. Changmin followed, doing the same with his bag, but was still unsure.

"How do you know which way to go?" Changmin questioned, Kyuhyun turned back for a little before continuing.

"Sounds. Also the light, probably leads outside." Kyuhyun replied, pointing out that the vent looked brighter on their side than the other. The younger nodded.

"Go then." Changmin muttered, Kyuhyun continuing on.

It was honestly very uncomfortable. First of all, the vent was dusty and rusted in some areas. Neither maknaes were fond of messes such as this kind. Secondly, the hard and somewhat rough surface of the vent was taking a toll. Both Changmin and Kyuhyun could feel a little ache in their knees, palm of the hands touching strange substances that made them feel icky. And thirdly, and this only applied to Changmin, his thoughts were going in a rather... mature direction. With Kyuhyun in front of him Changmin couldn't help but feel completely impossible. He couldn't look down, but he really couldn't look up either.

Though, it didn't last long, as they had found the exit after a couple minutes. Figures, as they actually didn't enter too deep into the shopping centre. They had actually entered one of the stores fairly close to the automatic doors to leave, only about 6 shops away. It was just that the vent had many different routes and directions, but Kyuhyun figured going straight would have been the best option. And thanks to that, the maknaes had finally found an exit. Kyuhyun turned to Changmin.

"Do you have my screw driver?" Kyuhyun asked, causing Changmin to freeze. All of a sudden there was some sort of flashback remembered, that as Changmin entered the vent, the screw driver sat neatly on the bench. The younger gulped.

"...Um, no." Changmin murmured, causing Kyuhyun's eyes to widen. The elder swore, if there were more room, Changmin wouldn't be in one piece. He had kind of assumed Changmin was going to take it with him, but it seemed that Kyuhyun was wrong.

"What?? We've come so far and now we don't have a screw driver??" Kyuhyun asked rather loudly, the sound echoing and causing Changmin to cringe slightly. He scowled.

"Can you punch it open or something?" Changmin asked, only to receive a somewhat offended and pissed off expression that said, 'Are you kidding me?'. Still, there was something Changmin found amusing, apologising softly, "Sorry, stupid question."

Kyuhyun groaned, annoyed beyong belief. He asked, "What are we going to do now?"

"I'll try to break it open." Changmin replied, causing Kyuhyun to give a somewhat twisted expression.

"How?" Kyuhyun questioned, causing Changmin to become silent. The problem was known. Kyuhyun was in front, Changmin was at the back, and there was no way to go around each other due to the tiny space. The only option was over, under, or through.

"Do you mind lying on your back?" Changmin asked back, and this only confused Kyuhyun more. What was the point? He really couldn't understand.

Kyuhyun gave a suspicious look, "Why?

"Just do it." Changmin replied, giving the type of expression that could only say, 'Do you really think you're that special'? It kind of annoyed Kyuhyun, but not enough for him to comment on it. So with that, he to his back. There was some sort of trust Kyuhyun was placing in Changmin, so he had better not do something stupid.  And maybe he did. Changmin then crawled on top of Kyuhyun's body, face to face and awkwardly trying to avoid touching each other even though it was inevitable. Changmin seemed to be just as uncomfortable as Kyuhyun, saying, "Well, maybe it would have been less awkward if you were on your stomach."

"No, believe me, it would have been much more tense." Kyuhyun muttered back, causing Changmin to raise a brow in a both surprised and somewhat suggestive manner. He would have smirked at the elder, but his body wasn't able to.

"Are you implying something?" Changmin questioned, Kyuhyun only gulped as he felt a little flushed.

"I hope I'm not." Kyuhyun said with a little fidget. Changmin held back a laugh, both nervous and genuine, simply biting his lip. The younger looked up, trying to rid any strange thoughts, raising a hand to push and punch the frame that was keeping them trapped.

"Damn, it won't budge." Changmin cursed with disappointment, though Kyuhyun had a light shining in his eyes once again.

"It moved a little, it's old and rusted. I'm sure you can break it if you used both hands." Kyuhyun stated, a sudden jolt of excitement leaving his body. The frame of the vent was clearly old, he was wondering why nobody had replaced it. If they were able to get out of this situation without being caught, Kyuhyun would have been ecstatic. The thought had taken him off the thought of Changmin over him, though bodies not touching, only limbs grazing awkwardly, the warmth was undeniable.

"I can't do that, otherwise I'd be laying on you. And I'd pretty much suffocate you under my weight." Changmin joked, half serious though about what he was saying. Kyuhyun could only pout, thinking if there was some type of solution. A simple breath was heard.

"Well... Why don't we swap sides?" Kyuhyun questioned, innocently enough so that Changmin didn't actually know what he was talking about.

"What?" Changmin asked simply, to in which Kyuhyun could only sigh. Without too many words, but a little struggle, Kyuhyun's hands went to Changmin's shoulder, pushing him down and bringing himself up. They had basically swapped positions. Though, with Kyuhyun on top, things just seemed to become more tense. He flushed even darker.

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up!" Kyuhyun shouted, snapping Changmin back into reality. He was so unsure of the situation, it took him a while to process what was going on. Changmin had never been in this type of situation, crawling through the vent with a man who the public had declared as your husband and having him on top of you. Well, by the standards of DBSK and Super Junior, it wasn't the oddest thing that had happened. It was actually quite normal in comparison.

"Yeah, just wait." Changmin mumbled, trying to focus, raising his hands and then pushing the frame, giving a few harsh punches every now and again. And finally after a couple more seconds, it fell off.

"You did it!" Kyuhyun grinned happily, as did Changmin who felt as if he had saved the world.

"Finally, some fresh air." Changmin breathed with a smile. It was right outside the shopping centre, and to their luck, no one was really wondering around to see their crime.

"You get out first, since you take up more space." Kyuhyun spoke, causing Changmin to simply nod. He wasn't really sure whether it mattered who managed to leave first, but Changmin wasn't going to complain and question it.

"I'll take that as a compliment." Changmin muttered, pushing himself out with his arms, and then jumping onto the ground but almost falling over. Once reaching, stepping onto some dry twigs and leaves, he stared once again at the height. Just a couple centimeters above his head. Kyuhyun finally poked his head out, staring at Changmin. He was expecting that the younger was going to help him down, and Changmin did. Kyuhyun's arms went to Changmin's shoulders, falling before being caught by Changmin who had supported his fall by both hands around he elder's torso. It would have been awkward, but since the maknaes were happy about their escape, neither minded too much.

Kyuhyun grinned once again like a child, turning back to the vent and unconsciously holding onto Changmin's hand. He hadn't noticed too much, neither had Changmin. Kyuhyun whispered, despite there being no one around, "Listen..."

And with that, a voice was heard. Or more like a scream. Through the vent.

"AAAHHHHH!!"

Changmin heard this, as did Kyuhyun, who instantly looked at each other and laughed. It was the first prank they had completed together. Nothing felt more satisfying. Kyuhyun jumped up and down excitedly, Changmin couldn't help but give a warm stare. If married life was going to be like this, for now, Changmin didn't mind. And it seemed that Kyuhyun didn't either. They had become fond of each other in little to no time at all.

Kyuhyun took a quick glance at his watch, the day had not yet ended. They still had at least 3 to 4 hours. He wasn't going to admit that the thought of spending that time with Changmin made him feel happy, never. But at the very least, Kyuhyun gripped the younger's hand tightly.

"Come on, let's go."
