Chapter 23
Survival of Mato
~All Star Agency~
“Sir, we still haven’t found anything,” said his assistant. “Should we give up?”
“No, I know something that they don’t know that I know,” said the leader.
“And what would that be, sir?” he asked.
“Oh, you’ll see,” the leader smirked. “But right now, I have a plan and I need to make sure what I know is true,” he smiled evilly. **I’ll be rich by the end of this mission**
“Come on, we have news to tell them,” the leader said.
“Yes, sir.”
**This is your end, have fun while it lasts…for now**
~Your POV~
“Hey! I think they’re quitting!” Zelo said.
We all ran towards the window. All the workers were putting away their tools back into a big truck.
“I-I think they’re finally giving up!” Youngjae shouted in joy.
**Knock knock**
We looked at one another. I ran down stairs and took a deep breath. I opened the door and gave a curious look. The leader smiled at me and bowed.
“We apologize for the inconvenience,” he said. “But we are thinking about stopping this mission.”
“Oh, really now?” I said calmly.
“Would you still like something in return?” he asked.
“No thank you,” I said.
“Well, alright then. Have a good day Miss Han-ah,” he said.
“You too,” said and closed the door.
I watched as they drove off and I jumped for joy.
“They’re gone!” I shouted happily.
“Really?” Youngjae asked as B.A.P came down stairs.
“Yep!” I shouted and jumped.
“YES!”
“We did it Daehyun! We did it!” I shouted as I grabbed his hands. I stopped jumping and smiling.
“Is something wrong?” he asked.
“N-No, nothing at all,” I said and looked away. **Could it be? No, it can’t be, but…**
**Hopefully you’ll find out soon** he thought sadly and looked away.
B.A.P was all partying down stairs except you. You were in your bed room thinking about Daehyun.
**Could it be him? No…no…it can’t be…but….**
“Aish!” I cried out in annoyance. “Why is this all so complicated?”
“What’s so complicated?” said a voice
“Ah!” I jumped and looked towards the door. Jongup was standing by the door with curiosity in his face.
“N-Nothing,” I said.
“How come you’re not celebrating like the rest of us?” he asked.
“I’m just really tired,” I lied. “All this excitement is just slowly eating away all my energy.”
“Oh, okay,” he said.
“Go and enjoy the party,” I said.
“You sure?” he asked.
“Yeah,” I smiled and he closed the door.
**I need some fresh air to think**
I closed the door to my room and walked across the hallway. I opened the balcony door and was greeted with a big gust of fresh, cold wind. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment. I stood by the balcony and leaned against the railing.
“Are you okay?” said a voice.
I turned around and tripped over my foot. Daehyun swiftly caught me and gave me an amused look. “Are we always going to meet like this?”
“N-No,” I said. “Since when did you care about me?”
**Since I first met you** he thought
“…”
“Daehyun?” I whispered gently.
“Yeah,” he said as he gazed at the moon.
“Were-Were you the one who-“
“Han-ah,” he interrupted.
“Y-Yes,” I said, nervous to what he was going to say. **Is he going to admit it?**
“What do you think of us?” he asked. **What do you think of me?**
“I-I think of you guys as my family,” I said.
“That’s it?” he asked.
“Well, yeah, you guys have been with me and treated me like a little sister,” I smiled unconsciously. “I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy.”
“…”
“Daehyun,” I said.
“Yeah?” he responded.
“I-Were-…nothing,” I said and looked away. **I’ll find out…soon I hope…For now, I’ll just have to wait**
