"I swear to Shisus Chen, if you don't take care of my baby, you won’t see another day," Chen nodded his head in understanding, not even flinching at the biting in Kris' voice. He was positive Kris meant what he said, but seeing the way he always interacted with Tao just erased the fear. Kris' was in actuality a sweet person that easily curled to Tao's wants and wishes and would do just about anything in his power to get what his Panda desired. At times it could be a bit unsettling, but Chen found their relationship beyond inspirational. Kris heaved and shaky breath and reached into his coat pocket, shaking his head while whispering death threats revolving around pushing Chen from the Great Wall of China, and pulled his keys from his pocket. His hands were shaking at Chen's endearing smile that matched his angelic nature as he transferred his keys to the awaiting hands. Chen bowed in thanks, ing the keys into the pocket of his comfortable black jeans.

"I promise to take care of your car Kris, you can trust me."

"That sounds familiar," Kris murmured as he turned to sit against the small couch with his Panda. The couple had decided to visit SeChensoo dorm for free food. Tao opened up his arms childishly and smiled when Kris leaned into them.

"That's because Sehun and Kai said the same thing before Kai got his van." Kris stiffened and looked back at Chen, his eyes fiery. The memory of his nearly destroyed car haunted his mind.

"Don't you dare let those monsters near my car!" Chen nodded his head with one of those innocent smiles and left the dorm quickly, before Kris could change his mind. Kyungsoo had taught him how to drive and Chen understood the basics perfectly fine, there was just one tiny problem. Chen had never driven by himself. He easily unlocked the car and opened the front door, slipping inside smoothly and closing the door. Before putting the key in the starter, he put on his seat-belt and checked his mirror, sticking out his tongue at his reflection.

"I should hurry, his practice ends in while." Chen turned the key in the starter and the car came to life, a soft purring of the engine. He took a deep reassuring breath because he was sure if he didn't he would get into an accident and Kris would make sure he didn't make it to the hospital. Putting the car into reverse, Chen backed out of the parking spot and changed to drive, turning the wheel expertly and driving onto the street. It was a good time to drive since most people weren't out (so Chen would most likely not run someone over) and the streets were minimally packed with cars, most likely filled with people returning home. Chen bit his lip as he came to a stop light, his eyes wavering as he noticed the sun delving into darkness. Xiumin couldn't be out in this darkness alone, right? Chen felt his leg step on the acceleration harshly and the car jerk forward just as the light turned green. He had to sigh and lift his leg a bit, his heart pounding in his ears. Chen realized he couldn't think about Xiumin, which is almost impossible, if he wanted to drive safely. In substitution, Chen thought of steamed buns, honey golden to perfection and steam still rolling off of them. It was a pretty good comparison.

“Now I'm hungry.” Chen pouted to himself as he made a left and continued down the empty strip of road, the houses on each side looking homely and snug. Pulling into the driveway of the fourth house to the right, Chen noticed Kai's van and backed up to create a small distance between both vehicles. He turned the key and shut off the engine, taking his seat belt off and slipping out of the car into the cold night air. Pressing the 'lock' button to Kris' car, Chen walked up the driveway and to the door he remembers clearly. He felt excitement bubble in his veins; it would be the first time inside of KaiMinHan's house. Chen straightened out his attire with slightly trembling hands and smoothed out his hair before gently knocking on the perfect white door. Not a moment later, Luhan's pearly smile accompanied by light met Chen's eyes and he was pulled into the house.

“What brings you here Chen-chen?” Kai called teasingly, causing the boy to redden and step further into the warm atmosphere. Sehun greeted him warmly from his seat in front of the TV, as did Chanyeol and Baekhyun, who busily resumed playing with each other’s hands to notice much else. Chen looked around, his eyes sparking with interest as he saw picture frames and paintings, the aura of the house welcoming.

“I-Is X-Xiumin home yet?” Luhan led Chen over to the comfy couch and pushed him into sitting.

“Not yet, he should be here in about 10 more minutes, but until then, you can just wait here.” Chen nodded his head and stared into his lap.

“How did you even get here?” Chanyeol asked suddenly, grabbing Baekhyun's ring finger and bending it to and fro.

“I drove. K-Kris let me borrow his c-car.” Kai and Sehun locked eyes, and began to laugh. Luhan noticed and frowned openly. He still felt unsettled by the closeness of his boyfriend and one of his best-friends, even if the two had known each other before Sehun met Luhan.

“Me and Sehun remember that car very well. We took Xiumin in it to this party outside of Seoul, and on the way home, since we were all pretty out of it, we hit this telephone pole, ran two stop lights, almost rear-ended a truck, and then got rear-ended by a minivan. Not only did Kris have to pay the ticket since it was his car, but that whole neighborhood went without electricity for two weeks. By the next day, the car was almost unrecognizable and we had fallen asleep in it. Kris never let me see the car again, even though I paid for its repairs.” Chen listened with his mouth forming a small 'o,' shocked at Sehun, Kai, and Xiumin. Baekhyun and Chanyeol laughed at the end of the tale while Luhan sat by with an indistinguishable look on his face.

“Hannie?” Luhan blinked and looked up into the eyes of his lover, his prize. Sehun gave him a questioning look and Luhan shook his head, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to say, and stood to go to his room.

“I'm not feeling well so I'm going to my room,” Luhan murmured, “Chennie, make yourself at home. Let me know if you need anything or if Kai tries to touch the stove. I don't need the fire department here again.” With a flash of a smile, Luhan left the living room, disregarding the flurry of steps behind him and the hand grasping his wrist.

“Lulu, what's wrong?” Luhan jerked away from the touch, surprising them both, and reached a hand for his doorknob.

“I'll be fine Sehun, just g-go home or back to Kai or whatever you want. Don't let me stop you.” Sehun watched his lover enter his room and gently close the door, the click letting him know he was closed out. The tall male turned away, his face devoid of emotion, but his eyes revealing how close he felt to shattering. Why did Luhan move away from his touch, didn't he love him?

Just g-go home or back to Kai or whatever you want. What did Luhan mean by that? Sehun had a sinking feeling he had done something involving Kai that made his boyfriend sad.

Don't let me stop you. But what could he have done, Sehun pondered as he left the front of Luhan's door and back to the living room, where Chen and Kai had begun a game of Mario Cart and Baekyeol had stolen the couch, all of it.

“What does Kai have to do with me? Why would Luhan say that unless he was- Sehun paused in his tracks, shaking his head with a smile.

“Why are you standing there like a weirdo?” Sehun rolled his eyes at Kai.

“None of your business, Kyungsoo's .”

“Guilty. As. Charged.” Sehun walked down the hallway and opened Luhan's door a crack, using the little slither of light to see his older lover under his Cinderella covers and unaware of his surroundings. Tiptoeing inside, Sehun slowly shut the door and continued over to the bed, his weight causing the bed to dip and alerting Luhan to someone's presence.

“Sehun?” Luhan turned in his sheets, his night-lite aiding him in seeing Sehun's perfect face.

“Hm?” Just as Sehun tugged the covers over him, Luhan kicked him out of his bed.

“Get out.” Sehun hissed as pain shot up his in a non-pleasurable way and stood up, rubbing his bottom.

“Tch, I'm not leaving Luhan, not until you stop being jealous.”

“HA! Jealous! Me?! Don't kid yourself.”

“Then why are you so upset when me and Kai are together? When we hang out, when we laugh, when he tells a story that includes me?”

“Because they ALWAYS include you,” Luhan hissed, his eyes stinging, “Every little thing he does, your there with him. Every stupid fling or dumb mistake, it’s you and him and probably Xiumin too. But what about me? What about me Sehun? I'm never there when you laugh that hard or when you run away from doing something stupid. No, it's always Kai, Kai, and Kai. I hate feeling like we're drifting apart. Like you’re stuck to Kai and I'm going to be left all by myself. You'd rather spend your time with him, I'm not stupid, but I'm boring and I know you don't like being with me. So don't pity me and do yourself a favor and just get out.” Sehun merely slipped into Luhan's bed stubbornly, wrapping his arms around the shaking male and pulling his frail body closer.

“Forgive me,” Sehun whispered, his breath gently hitting against Luhan's sensitive ear, “Forgive me for not noticing how left out you felt. For a long time, it used to be Kai, me, and Kyungsoo. They used to go everywhere together and I would tag along, all by myself, and feeling even more alone when I watched them. I thought that Kyungsoo had stolen my best friend away from me and that no one would want to be with me anymore. Then, I met you, a-and everything changed. I'm still so new to being so in love with someone, and I didn't want Kai to think I'd ditched him for you. Now I see I was doing the exact opposite to you, and I'm really sorry. I love you Luhan, don't you know that yet? I love you and I always will. I can't believe you thought otherwise. Like I would ever want Kai of all people. I don't even know how Kyungsoo can stand him.” Luhan giggled, pressing his hands against the arms around him.

“So, we're okay now right Lulu?” Luhan nodded his head in reply, his heart melting every second Sehun held him.

“Good, now we can have makeup .”

Forget it.

Sehun is such a tool.

Chen felt comfortable up until the sound of the door opening met his ears. Baekhyun and Chanyeol scattered from the couch and dodged the increasingly opening door into the kitchen while Kai rolled his way into the hallway, leaving a confused Chen by himself in the center of the living room.

“Luhan?” Chen froze.

“Kai? Sehunnie?” Xiumin's voice sounded tired, worn out, and it made Chen's heart ache to point where he couldn't stand it. He crawled around the couch instead and looked up to see Xiumin drop his bag and stare at him as if he were an alien. Chen found the confused expression cuter than any rabbit in the world. He smiled happily and fought to get to his feet.

“Welcome home,” Chen called as he shuffled closer, unsure if it was okay to touch Xiumin's smooth, alabaster skin. Xiumin unconsciously bit his lip as he delved into Chen's eyes, never having felt so welcome before. He felt disgustingly sweaty and grimy and wished Chen didn't have to view him this way, but he was too happy to care.

“W-What are you doing here?” Chen pulled the Aquamarine note from his back pocket and shoved it into Xiumin's empty palm, his bag having been dropped in surprise. Xiumin read the note quickly, Chen watched his eyes move across each word, widening as he reached the bottom of the little blue paper. His pale cheeks blossomed a rosy hue and he looked back up at Chen. He really was tall and his skin was the perfect peachy hue and his entire being was just amazing. I don't deserve him, Xiumin thought briefly, guilt erupting in his core as Chen's eyes widened cutely as he waited for his reply.

“A d-date?” Chen nodded his head in reply. 

“And you have to s-say yes since I-I'm already here.”

“GOOD THINKING CHEN!” Xiumin scolded as he heard Kai yell from the hallway. Chen waited for Xiumin to answer and Xiumin realized this when Chen didn't move.

“S-So?” Xiumin flashed a look at the note then looked back to Chen.

“Just let me take a s-shower. I'm sweating.” Xiumin didn't think Chen could be any more beautiful than when he smiled that wide lip-biting smile, taking his hand and pulling him into a bone-crushing hug despite Xiumin actually being disgustingly sweater.

“S-Sorry, I'm just really happy you said y-yes.” Xiumin was released from the hug and suddenly pulled away completely by Baekhyun.

“Okay, enough of this. Xiumin needs to get ready for your date.”
