What happens then?

Trapped on Exo Island

Most of SM Town gathered around the computer, wanting to get a small glimpse at the screen. They were on allkpop.com, and they couldn't help but notice the heading on the top story. When the idols did get a look, though, they either sobbed, stared frozen at the screen, or walked away, trying to get their mind off of things. Taemin of SHINee even confronted Lee Soo Man himself to get it from the guy in charge. Unfortunately, he received the answer that he dreaded for the most.

BREAKING NEWS: EXO'S BREAKUP RIGHT AFTER THEIR SUCCESS AS ROOKIES?!?

Victoria plopped down on one of the chairs and sighed. "So it's true."

Yesung rubbed the back of his neck and turned it from side to side, trying to loosen up the knots. "Yup. There's no use in stopping it now."

"Wow... seriously, I can't believe it," BoA ran a finger through her hair. "Out of all things, this was the thing I least expected. They were so strong, too."

"I know," Jessica agreed. "But it isn't their fault. I just hope Exo-M is okay."

Jonghyun heaved a sigh. "Noona..."

"Don't," she cut him off.

"I think we all know that they aren't," he finished, and was caught off-guard when he saw tears form in her eyes. He panicked. "I-I... Jessica, I didn't mean it like that but-"

"You're right," she decided. "I just didn't want it to be true."

"If anything," Onew declared, "we should worry for the other half of EXO. They're going through some tough times, and we should all be there for them." Everyone nodded their heads in agreement. "Wherever fate leads them afterwards... we'll just have to support them on it."

Sulli spoke up and wiped a few tears away from her eyes. "EXO fighting!" she weakly shouted.

The others half-smiled and followed her movements. "EXO fighting!"

Kris splashed his face with water from the spring.

He seriously lost it.

Never in his life had he ever... EVER, been attracted to someone, yet here he is. He just couldn't get his mind off of you, almost to the extent that it bothered him. Not that you were unattractive or anything, but it was just weird to think of.

Lay suddenly popped up behind him. "Have you thought about what I said?"

"About liking her?"

Lay narrowed his eyes. "Don't play dumb."

"Sometimes I really hate your sarcasm."

"But seriously, though, have you?"

Kris sighed and raked his fingers through his hair, leaving his golden locks faintly wet from the water on his hands. "Yes. I've had constant headaches from it."

"And...?" Lay waited, hoping that Kris would pick the choice he wanted him to pick.

"You might be right... I'm inexperienced at this kind of thing."

Lay sighed in relief.

"But then again... who really knows?"

Lay's expression turned into a bitter one. As he walked away, he rolled his eyes, yet couldn't help but worry. He took one look back, but continued to walk towards you and the others, talking to himself. "Fine. Suit yourself, Kris. I'm only trying to save you from heartbreak. The only one who knows is you. I hope you'll make the right decision."

"Rock paper scissors!" you and Tao shouted at the same time. It was around noon, and to pass time, you decided to play little games- rock paper siscors or duck-duck-goose. Yes, you were all pretty much in your twenties, but like the saying goes, "The older you get, the younger you feel," right?

Tao groaned when he saw that you had put out paper when he had rock. You stuck your tongue out at him. "Third time in a row! Told you I'm good at this!"

"There's no good or bad in rock paper siscors. It's all luck and chance," Chen snorted, but yelped when you threw a pebble at him. He scowled at you.

"Don't ruin the fun for me," you crinkled your nose.

"One more time, one more time!" Tao cracked his knuckles. Just as you were about to confirm, Lu Han quickly stepped between you two.

"Alright alright, you can finish this another time. _______, we have somewhere to go, remember?" he gazed at you. No, you guys never stopped your swimming lessons. However, it turned out more to be like little dates. You could tell now, that Lu Han swam just fine after a while and no longer needed your help. Yet he pretended that he was struggling just to be with you. You weren't stupid; you could see all through his act. But you decided to let it slide because frankly, you liked spending time with him, too.

You smiled and nodded. "Right."

Tao pouted. "Awww, now? Where do you guys always go during the day?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Xiumin cut in. "They're doing the naughty-naughty," he wriggled his brow at you two. Lu Han narrowed his eyes at him angrily and threw his shoe at him. "Ow!"

"Dont. Push. It," he warned through gritted teeth. You giggled and pulled him aside before he could kill Xiumin.

Summer was ending, which meant the weather was becoming cooler and cooler. You worried, because if the EXO-M boys were to continue to stay here, it wouldn't be pretty. Being stuck on an island when it was cold was a complete hell. You knew. One time there was a dreadful storm that nearly killed you.

As you two reached your destination, you noticed your lazy tiger was busy sunbathing on the sand. Although you had no problem with it, it seemed like someone else did.

"Alright, Sabin, go sunbathe somewhere else. This place is occupied now," Lu Han clapped his hands as he neared the tiger.

Sabin raised his head up and yawned, staring at Lu Han with an "are-you-kidding-me" look. Without moment's hesitation, he bowed his head down once more and shut his eyes.

Lu Han sighed. "There really is no stopping him from doing what he wants, is there?"

You laughed. "Nope. Trust me, I've tried everything. But I love him anyway," you grinned, his ear and earning a satisfied pur.

You two laid down in the sand, gazing up into the sky, not a cloud in sight. Suddenly, Lu Han spoke up.

"How long has it been since we got here?" he asked.

You hummed in thought, trying to remember. "I think around... two months now. Almost three."

"Wow," he whistled. "Time really does fly."

"Tell me about it."

There was a pause, and all that was left was the peaceful chirping of birds and the swaying of the trees. Finally, Lu Han spoke up, "You know, I wouldn't mind it if we were stuck here for a little longer."

You sat up and stared at him with wide eyes. "You wouldn't?" He shook his head. "But... but you have your whole career back in Korea and China! What about your fans, your family, the other members.... your home?"

Sighing for the nth time that day, Lu Han also pushed himself off of the ground and wiped his hands from the sand. He shrugged. "When you're an idol like me, sometimes all you need is a break from everything. Including my fans and my home. This is a nice reality check." You nodded, yet still confused as to what he was trying to say.

"Plus," he shifted closer to you, which you merely ignored, "there's you." You stared at him, shocked, and let a small smile come across your face.

"What about me?"

"It's nice spending time with you."

"Is that it?"

"Did you want there to be more?"

"Yes," you honestly replied. You did want there to be more to his explanation. You wanted him to say those three words that you have always wanted to hear from someone.

Another silence took over, yet this time it was a bit more awkward. You stood up. He followed. "We should get back," you tried cutting off your "date" ASAP. This was getting too risky. What was going through your mind, thinking that an idol like him would actually love-let alone, like- someone like you. Besides, if you guys did ever get off of that island, then what? You knew their company had a strict NO DATING rule. You decided, it was better not to hint anything else for the time being.

Suddenly, you felt a strange wetness hit the back of your hand. Your eyebrows furrowed. What the...

"Is that... rain?" Lu Han looked up into the sky. It wasn't gloomy, but sure enough, droplets of rain began to fall.

"That's weird. Usually rain wouldn't come for another few weeks," you stated. "We need to hurry back to the others." However, your wrist was tugged back by Lu Han. Your eyes met his, and you sent him a questioning gaze. "I have to help them in case they-"

"They can handle themselves," he cut you off. By now, the sprinkling had taken it to another level, and the rain poured down harder than before. You flinched and tried covering your head with your arms. Lu Han noticed this, and dragged you into that one cave in the corner of your hideout.

The cave was dark and rocky, but it would have to do for now, considering neither of you wanted to deal with soggy clothes and hair.

The rain grew heavier, until it began to dump.

"I hope the others are okay," you blew air into your cheeks.

Lu Han chuckled. "If I know them, they're probably fine. Either that or Lay and Kris have to control the other idiots."

"Hey," you shoved his arm a bit, "that's mean."

He gave you a look. "Don't tell me you think otherwise."

"Okay, you got me there," you threw your head back, laughing while you tossed a small pebble at him. A comfortable silence engulfed the two of you, and you could tell that at this point, it was getting dangerous. You started seeing Lu Han as more than a crush, and that wasn't good. Don't look at him, don't look at him, don't look at him...

Too late. Your head already turned slowly to the man next to you, surprised to see him staring at you.

"W-Were you looking at me this entire time?"

"What else would I look at?"

"The rain... it's kind of a pretty sight."

"Not as pretty as you," he countered, silencing you immediately. Your face flushed red, and you quickly whipped your head to avoid looking him in the eye. Noticing this, he chuckled.

"Cute," he pinched your cheek, making you swat his hand away. You wanted to barf from the cheesiness, but on another note, you kind of liked it. It felt... nice. Like you were wanted by someone. Not just someone, but Lu Han. The same guy that had made your heart race ever since you had taught the Exo guys how to hunt. And that meant a lot. When was the last time you felt this way? Never.

Suddenly, a large wind caught you by surprise and invited itself into the cave you two were in. You shivered, only wearing a small tank top and ripped shorts, and drew your lower body closer to yourself. Hugging your knees, you sighed. You absolutely hated cold weather. Especially when you were living on an island, it truly ruined everything.

Lu Han watched you shiver, and without moment's notice, wrapped you in his arms so that he was back hugging you. You froze.

"W-What..." you tried turning your head around to face him, but decided against it when his chin slowly fell onto your shoulder so that your heads were right next to each other.

"Shhh," he shushed you. "Just relax. You're cold, right? I am too. This is a compromise." Slowly and steadily, your shoulders became less tense, along with the rest of your body. Electricity seemed to run down your whole body, and your stomach felt like there were little butterflies flying around in it.

You didn't know how long you stayed in that position for in silence. 10 minutes? 30? To you it felt like many hours had gone by, but there was no way the rain would last for that long. The longest it would last for was around 2 hours unless there was a large storm.

But who really cared?

Not you. Not Lu Han. Because you were both enjoying this time together. Finally, he spoke up.

"This is nice."

"Yeah," you agreed, feeling him snuggle closer to you.

"You don't think a boulder will fall and trap us in, do you?" he smirked, seeing your confused expression.

"What?" Letting his words sink in, you realized that he was talking about that one story Xiumin had once shared with you all when you were telling ghost stories in their hut. It was also the one thing that led you and Lu Han into an argument. You rolled your eyes. "Ugh, don't remind me."

Chuckling, he added, "But it wouldn't be that bad... since you're here with me."

You made a face, but couldn't help but let a smile break out on your lips. "Why are you suddenly saying things like this?"

"What?"

"You know... things like..." you tried putting it into words without making it sound awkward. There was probably no way, though.

"Like...?" he teased you a bit further, raising his eyebrows. Unknown to you, he liked poking fun at you. Maybe it would lead to a confession?

"Saying things that are all... lovey-dovey... and romantic... and sort of," you paused and gulped, feeling the pink rush to your cheeks, "nice."

"Nice, huh? So you like it?" he whispered into your ear, making you shiver. Luhan tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.

You stuttered. "W-Well... i-it's nice to have you... you know what, never mind."

"No, tell me!"

You shut your eyes tight and finally decided to tell him. It wouldn't hurt, right?

"It's nice to have us... feel like we're a couple."

Lu Han's eyes widened at your direct comment, but soon a soft smile replaced his look of shock. "Are you trying to say you like me right now?"

You bit your lower lip, uncertain of what you should say next. "N-No."

"Oh," he said with a knowing smirk. "Well that's a shame, then."

"W-Why?"

"Because I was going to say that I like you, too."

This time it was your eyes that rounded. Did he just...? You stayed silent for a while. You. And Exo's Lu Han. In a cave together, snuggling for who knows how long. And basically just told each other that you liked each other. What were you supposed to do now?

Your body answered that question for you. Without thinking, you turned your head as he did the same, so you were facing each other, noses brushing against each other.

You could say that you both met halfway, but neither of you could really tell. All you were focused on was how his lips moved against yours in a sweet and passionate way. You could tell he wasn't trying to rush anything and kept it slow, and you loved that about him. This was your first kiss after all. You were the first to part away from him, although you truly didn't want to. Even after you moved your face away, Lu Han continued to shower your face with small pecks, in which you giggled at.

But neither of you heard the gasp from behind the bush outside of the cave.

Kris looked outside of the hut that he and the other members were in, wincing as raindrops fell hard onto his face. Where are those two? he thought.

"Don't worry about them, duizhang," Xiumin slung an arm over his shoulder. "I'm sure they're fine."

"But the rain is really hard-"

"But ________ is really smart. Plus Lu Han's with her. They're both probably taking shelter somewhere else," he yawned.

Kris sighed. He supposed Xiumin was right. But he still couldn't get that worry feeling out of him. He was the leader after all, and leaders were supposed to feel this way, right?

"What are the others doing?" Kris asked, referring to the other Exo-M members.

"They're sleeping. I think I'm gonna do the same thing, you should join us. Just remember, they're fine," Xiumin replied and pat Kris's back twice before heading towards the middle of the hut to get some sleep.

Kris nodded. They're fine... they're fine...

However, although his mind was convinced, his heart wasn't, and after he made sure that everyone was sleeping, he darted off, making sure to have carried a large leaf to protect himself from the rain.

It took him about half an hour or so, calling both of your names, as he came across your hideout that you shared with Lu Han. Kris scratched his head, wondering why he never found this place while he was there. He found Sabin still napping under a large tree and rolled his eyes. Even in this situation that cat can still sleep.

Figuring nobody was there, he made his way back to where he started, until he heard familiar voices that led to an old cave.

Relief washed over Kris, but before he could reach out to either of you, he witnessed something that made him turn his head away and gasp in a heartbeat. You. And Lu Han. Were kissing.

Kris didn't exactly know how to react to that, so he simply turned away to make sure he wasn't invading your privacy. He bit his lower lip. Something wasn't right. Where were the emotions? Where were all of the depressing thoughts running through his head? Where... Where was the sadness?

He just saw his crush and his bandmate kissing. He should be heartbroken, right? Kris placed his hand over his heart. It was normal paced, almost as if nothing ever happened.

"I'm not sad? I'm not sad," he repeated with all honesty. His mind drifted back to you again. Had Lay's advice been correct? Did Kris really only think he liked you? He believed so, since the previous event had done nothing to affect him whatsoever. Kris nodded in realization.

He let a low chuckle escape from his lips and dropped the large leaf, soon getting wet from the rain. "Sweet," he commented and fist-pumped, heading back to the hut to tell Lay about everything.
