(Alaina's POV)

My skin was still tingling when class ended. In fact, I think I was shuddering, but not from coldness.

But from that demon-in-a-model's-body-teacher-of-mine.

When the bell dismissal rang, Taemin wasted no time in taking my hand and dragging me out of class, Kai shadowing behind us, protecting our backs. In the back of my mind, I think I felt Miryo smiling in amusement behind us, as if we were fleeing from the big bad monster under our bed.

"Aish, I can't stand that women," I said in apprehension as we hurriedly stroded down the hallways. "I would rather be tortured by Jea-seonsaengnim's aegyo." I was revolted either way. But the way that Miryo-seonsaengnim stared at us...it's like she was a military general - a y one at that. "And her smirks are more irritating than Kai's!"

"You just offended me, jagiya."

"M-mianhae."

"I have a feeling the two demons are talking about us," muttered Taemin as we exited the front entrance of the school. He flitted one glance back at the building as if he could feel the demons watching us leave. "Let's just get you out and gather the other guardians." He squeezed my hand.

Meeting up with Key, Minho, Baekhyun, Sehun in the parking lot, we immediately raced home. Kai tossed his schoolbag aside, pecked my cheek, and said he would be back with EXO-M. He instantly vanished within a whirl of purple-black matter. The college students returned home and listened to Taemin's and Sehun's quick explanation of the two new demons and they paled. B.A.P. weren't thrilled either. We settled in the living room in dismay, and then Kai appeared into the room with six others.

Hands on hips, Luhan frowned. "I hear you have another demon problem?"

My hands were buried in my face in a very dishearten manner. I grumbled something incoherently - which sounded like a whine. Taemin sighed. "Ne," he answered, rubbing my shoulders.

EXO-M also slouched in the couches, Kai plopped down next to the free spot by me. "What's with her?" Xiumin asked, noting my displeasure.

In a brooding mumble, I finally said audibly, "The two demons were encountered today are two beautiful women. And the entire school adores them."

The guardians deflated at that.

"Women," sighed Jonghyun in exasperation. "Especially the demon kind are very hard to defeat."

Sehun shifted uneasily in his seat. "I've never hurt a girl before, much less a female demon."

"We may have trained with girls at the Academy, but never in a real fight," added Baekhyun.

"Nor have we killed a demon with a pretty face - well, a womanly face," added Chanyeol almost cheekily, flickering his glances at Luhan, Key, and Taemin. Luhan scowled at the Happy Virus and the latter grinned innocently.

"Actually, none of us have had the chance," put in Suho. "It was never necessary for us since we had the female guardians, but now..." He let that sentence dangle. They couldn't make this a bigger mess than it was already.

"F(x) warned us about the female demons," Kris said, casting a meaningful glance at Onew and Suho. "They are from a group called BEG - short for 'Brown-Eyed Girls'."

"It should be 'Beautifully Enchanting Girls'," mumbled Key dryly.

"Do you know anything about their powers or skills?" inquired Lay to the leaders.

Onew said, "Victoria noona mentioned their powers to be intimidating and disorienting."

"And if I recall, one of BEG's demons is a summoner - so a tamer basically," hinted Suho.

Kris, Chanyeol, Chen, Lay, and D.O. reacted to that by raising their brows or widening their eyes.

"Summoner?" I repeated in interest. "Like summoning a beast?"

"Remember when I told you I could summon a beast like a saber-tooth tiger?" said D.O. and I nodded. "When you can summon a beast or monster, you're immediately labeled as a 'tamer'. Because you control the beast."

"But since coming here to Earth, the Council advises us not to summon our beasts so recklessly or frequently," said Chen.

I looked at EXO-M. "Who are the tamers in your group?"

"Kris duizhang summons a dragon," informed Tao, and I recognized the Chinese word for leader. "Lay gege summons a unicorn and Chen gege summons scorpions."

"Amazing," I breathed, staring at the mentioned 'tamers'. They looked unaffected.

"I have a feeling Jea-seonsaengnim's power has to do with they way she attracts or enchants people," said Minho with a disapproving line of his lips. "Maybe even pheromone?"

Key shook his head in disagreement. "I didn't sense a scent or traces of her ES in the air. As a matter of fact, she wasn't emanating anything."

"I didn't feel anything off besides her freaky stares," I added. Her freaky but pretty stares.

"We need to encounter the other demons," said Jonghyun. "At least, to know who we're up against."

"We only know about the two teachers," said Kai. "I only heard about them being transferred in." He looked at his hyungs. "Anything suspicious at the university?"

They shook their heads. "Ani, nothing," said Chanyeol.

I shuddered again. "I have a feeling we'll find out soon."

Onew glanced at me worriedly. "Alaina, are you sure you want to stay in school? What happen if you get badly hurt again? And these she-demons are more powerful and experienced than B.A.P."

At the reminder, I glanced over to them. They were hustled near the corner, whispering and muttering to each other in hushed voices. The four of them seeming distressed.

"Zelo?" I sought out. He blinked from his intense discussion with his hyungs and turned around to look at me queerly. "Do you or your hyungs know anything?"

"I-I'm not sure," confessed Zelo regretfully, looking apologetic.

Yongguk sighed and rubbed the nape of his neck. "I kind of foresaw Block B calling for reinforcements, but not BEG. I suspect sunbaes - the older demons - had personally appointed them."

"I've heard of BEG's - er - outstanding powers," spoke up Daehyun with his arms crossed. "I think one of them can completely blind or darken one's vision within a certain radius like Jonghyun-ssi's 'silent range'."

"That's not good," said Sehun, drooping. "That'll render us useless."

Daehyun scratched his cheek uncertainly, sharing hesitant looks with Youngjae. "And I also think another one can create illusions, but I don't know the exact details. I think she can forcibly blind you by putting images or pictures in your head, but the images themselves aren't real."

"Just like Victoria noona said, 'intimidating and disorienting,'" affirmed Suho. Many of them frowned in dissatisfaction. Many of them - mainly EXO - had offensive or defensive powers. It wouldn't counteract well with BEG's special afflictions. Only Key would probably stand a chance with his barriers, spells, and imagery with mirrors. Or even Tao if his time control effected BEG.

Kris sighed. "I'll try to wheedle some more details from f(x) without appearing suspicious. I hope we can formulate a plan on the meantime."

Luhan rubbed his chin, observing me as I huddled between Kai and Taemin, unhappy by the situation. Kai held onto my hand, his warmth calming me a bit.

"Maybe we should have some of us stake-out for the other demons while - I don't know - Tao can enroll into your school," Luhan suggested.

"Nani?" I blurted out in Japanese.

"What?" echoed everyone else in Korean.

Tao's eyes lit up. "Can I?"

"Ah, ani," disagreed Kris, piercing eyes narrowing, and Tao pouted. Lay patted his maknae's head.

Luhan held up his hands at his duizhang. "Whoa, hear my proposition first. I was thinking we could test out Tao's powers at the demons. Alaina - who is more importantly the Peacemaker - is going to need better protection to counteract with those she-demons."

"I'm not sure..." Kris hesitated. He was worried about his soulmate getting hurt but also it would involve EXO-M's close assistance. They wouldn't be there to guard their base in Beijing full-time.

"I've been practicing with my ES," I said a small voice. "I can set up a thicker invisible veil around myself, but I think demons can distinguish my ES with keen senses."

"Your ES and your scent," corrected Onew.

"Maybe she can find a way to hide her scent with her ES," asked Taemin, looking hopefully at Youngjae who was an expert on that field.

Youngjae pursed his lips. "I'll see what I can teach her. But if all else fails, we'll probably have to watch her from afar and jump in when we need to."

"BEG will be a tough match when their powers renders nearly all of us weak and incapable," stated Yongguk solemnly, eyes tight. "I think B.A.P. should scout out Block B's hideout and also bring them down. Block B and BEG are supposedly allies anyway, and they have all the intentions and orders anyway. We can get some answers from them."

"You're going to have to mask your ES very cautiously, then," heeded Key. "You don't want to alert Suju suddenly and tell them you were newly created guardians. They'll be very suspicious."

B.A.P. nodded. "We understand."

Puzzled by the scrambled conversations, Xiumin asked, "So what do we agree on and what don't we agree on?"

The leaders and second-in-commands exchanged loaded looks and debated inwardly. The rest of us waited in uneasy silence.

Kris sighed resignedly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Araso. Tao can transfer schools."

"Yes!" cheered Tao triumphantly, high-fiving Luhan.

"But only to protect the Peacemaker," Kris warned and Tao obediently nodded. The panda shot me a grin and I smiled bleakly at his willingness help.

"And we'll be heading off to search for Block B soon," confirmed Yongguk. His groupmates nodded and I felt worried about their safety, especially Zelo's.

"Key and I will train Alaina on her ES, then," concluded Jonghyun.

"And Onew hyung and I will look more into BEG and construct a schedule over Alaina's protection," said Suho. He looked at EXO-M. "Do you guys want to join?"

"She's the Peacemaker, of course we'll help her. It's our duty to guard her," said Xiumin, chin in the air. Lay and Chen nodded amiably. I smiled softly at their commitment.

Luhan smirked the slightest at me. "We have to protect the pretty little princess from danger, right?"

He and Sehun shared comical laughs while I made a face at them. "Ouji-sama ga kirai," I mumbled under my breath and Taemin chuckled. He was pleased I didn't seem dazed by Luhan anymore - implied when I inferred 'I hated the prince'. Kai was confused at the unknown words and cocked a brow. But he was glad to see some dislike between me and Luhan. Every time Luhan popped in my mind, I didn't think 'awww'. Instead, I thought 'grr, get out of my head, annoying deer!’
