"You are blind."

Those are the three most dreaded words a patient can hear from her physician. When faced with the diagnosis of blindness, some patients will experience a wide range of emotions: fear, panic, loneliness, anger, and desperation, to name a few. Even when the prognosis is good and treatments are likely to be effective, these reactions occur.

Kim Taeyeon was faced with these words and for her she didn't only lose her eyesight, she became an orphan too. Still, she endured. More than that; she literally embraced them- the treatments, her caregivers, and the challenge of facing the society. Nevertheless, Taeyeon did not disdain conventional surgeries in the hope of a miracle cure to finally see the world once again.

Taeyeon used to be any normal young girl with a happy family. She was alive, and then ever since she was struck by fate of losing her eyesight and her parents, she had strived alone. And for a long time she did. But now? Now she felt inspired. She saw a motivation in life, and the cure to her illness. She concluded that he was what she was looking for.
