No, no. A million times no. I will never die in their hands. Anger makes me curl my fists and rages in my nearly dying heart, a fire that can never be put out.

The nurse closes the door. I wait for the sound of her footsteps to fade away.

Shuddering, I shakily reach up to the tube that connects to my neck, and I slowly rip it off.

I shiver with fear as I reach for the needle injected in my arm and pull it out. Some blood starts to form but other than that, nothing happens.

My eyes narrow. I quickly take a quick glance at the propped up mirror on the table beside me. My eyes…they look…alive.

I quickly stumble out of bed. BIG mistake. My legs give way, and I crash to the cold, hard floor. My legs are incredibly stiff. Shakily, I get up and my knees are threatening to buckle in. My determination refuses to let me give up.

I quickly move to the counter where I pull out a drawer, and grab a band aid. Quickly ripping the wrapper apart, I slap it on the bleeding area.

Then I begin to run. I run so fast, everyone passes by in a blur. The air caresses my pale face, and my long brown waves fly behind me.

Gaping, open mouths. I hear angry screams, threats, surprised screeches that try to stop me, but they should just give up now. Nothing can stop me. A slow smile spreads over my face. I push the exit doors open and let the light embrace me.
