Chapter 16: He’s back

4 months later, Bae is healthy as can be and Changmin was ready to start his career again. Kangta called him in after Yunho told him, and he met Kangta with Bae in toe, cause everyone was busy and he had yet to find a babysitter

“Kangta hyung” Changmin spoke knocking on the door

“Changmin come in” a voice came from behind the door, Changmin did adjusting his hold on Bae and opening the door he was greeted by Kangta sitting at his desk Sunny standing on his right

“hi Changmin Oppa” she said, even though they were both professionals everyone called them the same thing, and they did the same “awe and you brought Bae” Sunny cooed

“yea sorry Kangta hyung I had to, everyone busy with schedules and I haven’t found a babysitter yet” Changmin answered tone apologetic, he wanted to do this in a professional manner like he used to with Soo Man but he had no one to watch Bae

“it okay Minnie, I understand, he’s been growing quite fast” Kangta answered, Bae reached out for Kangta

“Uncle, Uncle” Bae said, Changmin bowed his head in embarrassment, Kangta laughed

“Changmin its okay, I’m not like Soo Man” Kangta stated patting his shoulder and scooping Bae out of Changmin’s hands

“uncle, umma going to sing again” Bae asked

“maybe little one maybe” Kangta answered

“can Bae sing, Bae want to sing” Bae asked

“well can Bae sing” Sunny asked from behind the desk

“yes Bae can sing, Bae can sing” he answered, and started singing sorry sorry and doing the actions from where he was in Kangta’s arms, Changmin’s jaw dropped and Sunny and Kangta burst out laughing stopping in between to say how cute he looked

“okay Bae can sing, but how bout we wait till later okay” Kangta answered, Sunny giggled behind him

“someone spent to much time with Heechul oppa” she said

“can we please get down to business this is embarrassing” Changmin groaned head still bows tips of his ear red

“of course Changminnie, Sunny and I were thinking, we’ll start you with a photo shoot for Elle Korea, then you and Yunho can work on another album” Kangta explained

“okay I can do that” Changmin answered “when” he added

“sometime next week” Sunny answered looking at her I-pad screen, Changmin thought for a minute trying to figure out if he could get a babysitter, Yunho was in Japan working on his drama, SuJu hyungs were doing another super show, Jaejoong was busy with a drama, Junsu was doing his musical and working on his solo album, he didn’t trust Bae with Yoochun, ahh sone girls

“Sunny do you know if your girls are busy next week” Changmin asked

“hmm…I know Jess and Tiffany are doing strong heart, Yuri’s doing a photoshoot and Taeyeon’s busy recording a song for some drama, but, Sooyoung, Yoona, Seohyun, Hyoyeon well be home” Sunny answered

“do you think once you’ve finalized the photo shoot, that you can get them to baby-sit Bae for me” Changmin asked

“yea I can most certainly ask” Sunny answered

“alright, then book me down and tell me when you have the date” Changmin answered. Kangta nodded and called Elle, stating he had the model he just needed a date, Bae was sitting on top on Kangta’s desk legs swaying as Sunny held him down

“Umma getting his picture took” Bae asked Sunny, Sunny nodded

“Umma get his picture took many many times and the everyone in korea will see it” Sunny answered

“eberyone in korea, wow, will Bae get to see Umma’s pictures” Bae asked

“yea Bae will get to see Umma’s pictures” Sunny answered

“yay yay, Bae think Umma is very beautiful” Bae exclaimed, Changmin blushed at his baby boys comment, Sunny laughed and agreed making Changmin blush even harder. Changmin Kangta and Sunny talked for another hour, Kangta telling Changmin that the photo shoot was scheduled for march 23 it was march, it was the 16th, the sone girls were called and agreed to baby-sit, after that was settle Changmin went home bathed Bae ang dressed him setting on his shoulders while he made Dinner, Jaejoong said he and the other 2 would be coming over for dinner so Changmin was planning to make grilled steak with seasoned baby potato’s, carrots and corn on the cob, for desert cherry cheese cake, if it worked. Since the split up Changmin started drabbling in cooking, and when he found out he was pregnant he worked even harder on his cooking skills cause he knew he’d have 2 mouths to feed and not just Yunho, now he could cook pretty much anything and it was almost as good as Jaejoong’s cook, but not quite cause Jae Umma’s cooking was the best

“mommy is Jae Umma coming over with Uncle Su and Uncle Chun” Bae asked me

“yea baby, Jae Umma, Uncle Chun and Uncle Su are coming over” Changmin answered, Bae had going into the habit of calling Changmin mommy when ever Jaejoong came over, he didn’t mind at least his English was catching on, Bae nodded Changmin felt it cause he whole body jerked. Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu show out at 6 they had dinner in which Jaejoong complemented his cooking skill and helped him with the dishes while Chun and Su played with Bae, they 3 stayed to 10 then went home Changmin settling Bae into bed soon after before turning on his laptop to Skype Yunho, they talked till midnight then Changmin went to bed. A week later on the 23 Changmin brought Bae to the sone dorm and was greeted by Seohyun

“hi Changmin oppa, dropping Bae off before your photo shoot” she asked

“nae, I’ll be done by seven, he’ll eat pretty much anything and sadly since it’s the middle of the month you’ll have to give him his heart injections” Changmin stated

“I thought you were don’t with those injections” Seohyun asked

“ani, they’ve just decreased, he only gets them once every 3 months, and instead of taking him to the hospital we do it now, he’s still gotta get one last surgery after his 5th birthday, don’t worry he’ll tell you where you need to inject it, he’s watched me do it many times” Changmin answered

“Arresso, we’ll call you if we have any problems” Seohyun answered

“kay, bye Seohyun, I’ll be back at 7” Changmin called walked toward the car. He dove to his photo shoot location and was greeted by the staff and photographers

“ah Changmin-shii, glad to see your back” the photographer said, Changmin and Yunho had worked with him before and he’d been seen the Tokyo dome tour stop and hurt about Changmin’s pregnancy

“thank you its great to be back” Changmin answered “what’s today’s concept” Changmin asked

“ahh, the always humble Shim Changmin, today’s concept is, what lies behind your beauty, I had heard about your problems with Bae and I figured if we could take those feeling and turn them into photographs it would show a more vulnerable Changmin” the photographer answered, Changmin shifted awkwardly thinking before agreeing and was shooed off to hair and make up, the first couple shoots the photographer wanted Changmin shirtless to see the markings left behind after Bae’s birth, Changmin almost didn’t agree with it but there was a voice in his head that said ‘your beautiful just the way you are’ and it wasn’t that he was uncomfortable with his body, he was more uncomfortable knowing that fans would be seeing this, Changmin spent the rest of the photo shoot somewhere between wanting to rip someone’s head off and wanting to cry. Once he finished he looked through the shots and agreed that they turned out well, and that they did show a different side if him, and he was happy with the shirtless shirt despite of himself and stole one of the proofs to show Yunho, bowed endlessly and thanked them all before heading out back to the Sone dorm to get Bae, when he knocked Jessica answered this time

“oh Changmin oppa, you’re here, can you come help us, we forgot about Bae’s injection cause he took a nap and he keeps saying he can’t remember what you do” Jessica exclaimed

“yea he gets what way when he’s just woke up, I’ll come show you” Changmin answered, Jessica led Changmin into the living room where Hyoyeon was trying to figure out what to do

“hyo let oppa do it” Jessica called, Hyoyeon stopped and looked up sighing in relief when Changmin join her

“okay look, you should all know where the heart is" Changmin said, they all nodded “okay so in order to get this right you have to count to the middle of the ribs, that’s about the 5th one down, you stick the needle between that” Changmin finished explained and quickly did exactly what he’d just explained, Bae whimpered and then cling to Changmin after, Changmin smiled Bae’s thick dark brown hair, it was a mixture of his and Yunho’s and was extremely thick like mine but was straight as a whip, unlike mine and we had to get it cut every 2 months, “lets go home baby boy, you can sleep there” Changmin said softly kissing the top of his head “bye girls thanks for watching him” Changmin said bowing his head and waving before disappearing out the door, once home he changed Bae into Pajama’s and settled him into bed before going to get himself. He’d been up since 7 and was at the photo shoot from 9-7, which wasn’t unusual for him since he did it all the time before but man he forgot how tiring it was.
