Chapter 11: count down to court date

A week goes by Changmin and Bae are still in the hospital, Changmin’s getting better, it seems that with his lifestyle and job the extra weight of Bae cause damage to his bones, thankfully with calcium pills it could be fixed and Changmin could go back to singing and dancing after a year. That weekend while Yunho was visiting with Jae, Chun and Su, something happened

Yunho’s P.O.V

It was Saturday afternoon when Jaejoong picked me up in his car. We were heading to visit Changmin and Bae. They’d met Changmin in the cafeteria, he’d been getting around on his own since 2 days into his hospital stay, although he didn’t move to fast

“hey Minnie” Junsu said as they joined him

“hey su, you guys came” Changmin said smiling as familiar arms draped over his shoulder and my kiss landed on his cheek

“yes we did, good afternoon babe” I said, Changmin turned slightly to the right and kiss Yunho chastely

“good afternoon to you do Yunnie, I love you” Changmin said

“well shall we eat” Yoochun exclaimed, they all nodded

“Minnie, did you take your Calcium pills this morning” Jaejoong asked

“yes as a matter a fact I did, with out the nurse reminding me” Changmin answered

“that’s my baby maknae” Jaejoong answered. They enjoyed a nice lunch and the 5 headed back to Changmin’s hospital room, that was when they heard

“code blue, baby ward, code blue” over the intercom and there was a whole lot of racket as doctors and nurse ran to help, there was a feeling amongst all of us, but Changmin spoke first

“its Bae, Its my baby boy, he’s in danger” it seemed so slow, then suddenly his expression changed completely, I pinned him down immediately uncaring if he wound up in pain “ITS BAE” he scream struggling against me “Lemme go, Lemme go, I need to make sure he’s okay” Changmin sobbed still fighting against me

“no I’m not letting you go, IF it is Bae you can’t do anything Minnie you have to let the doctors do they’re jobs” I said calmly putting emphasis on the ‘if’. Changmin said nothing just turned into a sobbing mass “Jae, calm him and make sure he’s okay, I’m going to the baby ward to see if everything’s okay” I said lowly to Jaejoong

“I’m coming” Yoochun exclaimed, I nodded and the 2 of us headed toward the baby ward, Changmin was indeed right the doctors surrounded our baby Bae, a nurse spotted us and walked over

“are you his parents” the nurse asked

“I’m his father, that’s his uncle, his umma is have a break down in his hospital room, he sense it was Bae the moment the called code blue” I answered, the nurse smile sadly

“mothers intuition, they’re doing everything they can, I suggest you go back to his hospital room and wait for the doctor to come” the nurse explained, the 2 of us nodded and thanked her and left not exactly going back, Yoochun sending Jaejoong as text asking him to send a text when Changmin’s calmed, seeing us 5 minutes after we left isn’t going to help him much. We went back a half hour later running into the doctor on the day back

“ah Yunho-shii, I was just heading to Changmin-shii’s room” the doctor said, I nodded

“what happened is Bae okay” I asked

“he’s stable, but not out of the woods yet, is seems he has unforeseen heart problems” the doctor answered

“does it have anything to do with was happened in September” Yoochun asked

“it seems that way, I was looking over the hospitals copies of the ultrasounds and spotted a problem in his right ventricle on all the ultrasounds after 7½ months, everything 7 months and backwards his heart was perfectly fine” the doctor answered, anger started to boil in me but I tamped it down

“can I asked you to come to our court date on the 14 to testify that” I asked

“of course” he answered “now lets go tell Changmin-shii” the doctor added, this wasn’t going to end well but Changmin had a right to know, we walk into the room before the doctor

“Min doctors here to talk to you” I said soft, his eyes were puffy and his expression looking like a trapped animal, he nodded slightly and Yoochun let the doctor in I returned to Changmin side holding his hand tightly

“Changmin-shii, the code blue that was called this afternoon was for Bae, he flat lined, after we stabilized him we check for any physical ailments, we found there is something wrong with his heart” the doctor said straightly, Changmin nodded speaking in a low almost inaudible voice the same question Yoochun had asked moments before

“this has something to do with September doesn’t it”

“yes Changmin it does, after we stabilized and checked Bae over I looking over your ultrasounds, the ones I kept and found a problem in his right ventricle that was only evident from 7½ months onward, from 7 months backward his heart was fine” the doctor answered

“is Bae alright” Changmin asked

“yes for now he isn’t out of the woods yet though” he answered

“alright thank you for telling me Bae’s condition” Changmin answered, suddenly there was an edge to Changmin voice which only meant on thing, his was mad, we all sense that and the doctor left as soon as he was out of sight Changmin exploded with one phrase and one phrase

" YOU SM ENTERTAINMENT-ow, ow, ow-YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS TRUST ME YOU WILL” He screamed stopping when his stitches pulled then continued on screaming

“better” I asked, Changmin always felt better after he exploded

“yes and no” Changmin answered, we all know what he meant, he was still worried about Bae. I his hear and kissed his forehead sending a silent prayer to god to protect our Bae and to help us win this lawsuit, which was in one week.
