Super Junior - Why I Like You

It’s been two and a half years since Hai Yang was born. Tonight, Hai Yang was sleeping over at _______’s parents house so that _______ and Donghae could spend their wedding anniversary plus valentines date out.  Donghae was going to be out of the country for the actually valentine date and so the couple decided to just celebrate that ‘romantic’ holiday early.

 

_______ thought it would be refreshing and interesting for both of them to go to Namsan to have a relaxing and romantic day there.

The two first went to one of the resorts in Namsan, near N Seoul Tower to indulge in the hotel’s spa. Donghae and _______ started their date with a couple’s massage. Both fell asleep as the masseurs did their job in cracking their bones and releasing the tensions in their muscles. Corny enough, the couple held hands all through out the massage. The atmosphere was definitely soothing.

After their refreshing session the two enjoyed the aromatherapy Jacuzzi pool. The two pampered themselves, after all days like these are not too often for them.

 

After that revitalizing start, the two went to N Seoul tower to have a romantic candle-lit dinner date at the famous revolving restaurant.

 

“When was the last time that we went out to have dinner?” Donghae tried to recall.

“Hmmm…well I don’t know. We’ve been eating most of the time at home. Cooking for you and Hai Yang can get pretty tiring but once I see you guys finishing my food, it satisfies me and let’s me forget about the tiredness.” ______ told Donghae as she smiled.

The waiter then came and handed the two the menu. Donghae showed off and took charge of ordering the food for him and _______. He chose perfectly what his wife would have wanted to order.

“What are the odds? You’re my lover but I’m having another man as a date on Valentines Day.” ______ joked with Donghae after the waiter left.

“Well that man you’re talking about better be my baby boy.” Donghae answered and he got a *mehrong* from his wife.

“I was wondering, what attracted you to me in the first place?” ______ asked curiously. She wanted to reminisce about their complicated beginnings.

“Well I first remember seeing how slim and fit your legs were when you went to Super Junior’s dorm for our first We Go Married filming. Through out the day I was mesmerized by your gentle smile, y eyes and your words that were sometimes unpredictable.” Donghae recalled, it was love at first sight.

“I was so shy back then. Remember the time I went to your dorm again to cook a surprise meal for you guys? You gave me a small blanket to cover my legs when we were eating. You won my heart with that.” _______ smiled as she remembered Donghae’s caring ways from the start.

“Yeah. By the way, don’t think I didn’t notice what shoes you’re wearing now. I can’t believe you still wear the purple flats I gave you.” Donghae said as he let his wife know that he took notice of how she dressed up.

“Well of course this was your first gift to me. I really take care of them and I only wear them out on special occasions. I remember why you gave this to me in the first place.” _______ smirked as she looked at Donghae teasingly. Donghae raised his eyebrow, not completely sure what _______ was getting at.

 

 

*flashback*

 

________ walked back to the living room and handed over a bottle of water to Donghae before sitting beside him again.

“Thanks Vic--- I mean ______. Thanks _______.” Donghae accidentally called _______ by Victoria’s name. Donghae’s eyes widened when he heard himself and tried quickly eat his words and hoped that ______ didn’t notice.

“Vic? Victoria?” ______ repeated irritatingly

Donghae bit his lip and was frustrated with himself.

“Sorry _______. We were just talking about her and her name slipped.” Dongahe tried to reason out.

_______ just glared at Donghae before she scooted over to the side of the couch away from Donghae.

“_______..._______-ah mianhe, don’t be mad at me.” Donghae apologized to ________.

“Okay.” _______ coldly answered as she got her phone from the side table and busied herself with it.

 

*end of flashback*

 

“You still haven’t forgotten about that??” Donghae asked _______ a bit surprised.

“Nope, it was the first time I got jealous and annoyed. You gave me the shoes after that shoot.” ______ teased.

 

The two continued to reminisce during dinner. They talked about their first kiss but clearly avoided to talk about the nightmare they had with Rain.

 

After filling themselves up with delicious food, the two went to the rooftop of the building. They went to where the locks of love were and attached their own lock.

 

Donghae wrote: ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? The thought of me protecting you, Hai Yang and my country will be my inspiration. I’ll be your husband, best friend and soldier.’

While ______ wrote: ‘You’re my life. You have my heart and soul. I’ll love you forever. You bring out the best in me. Let’s raise Hai Yang and our future kids well with all our love.’

 

The couple then waited for the fireworks at the observation deck before going back home.

 

After changing to more comfortable sleeping outfits, both Donghae and _______ laid down on the bed. The two cuddled to each other as if they haven’t gotten enough of being with each other for the whole day. After all these years, they still couldn’t get their hands off of each other.

“Yeobo, appa said that he’ll drive back Hai Yang here tomorrow after lunch. They said that he behaved well and he was actually starting to play with the soccer ball.” _______ informed Donghae. Donghae smiled at the thought that Hai Yang and him will be playing soccer in the future.

“My dad can look pretty intimidating and can be pretty scary to some people, but he is so weak in front of Hai Yang.” ______ followed up after.

“Our moms are the best though. Your mom’s teaching Hai Yang to call her ‘y halmeoni’ while my mom wants ‘pretty halmeoni’.” Donghae said and couldn’t help but laugh at their parent’s silly ways. After their small talk about their parents, the two became a bit quiet.

“_______...” Donghae softly called out his wife’s name. He was playing with her hair as she laid her head on his chest.

“yes oppa?”

“Leeteuk and Heechul hyung called me yesterday.” Donghae told _______. It’s been already half a year since both Leeteuk and Heechul entered the military to fulfill their duties.

“How are they?” _______ asked

“They said that they’ve adjusted already. They might be getting a vacation outside of the camp soon since they’ve been both acting and serving well.” Donghae informed _______.

“That’s good. I miss them.” _______ said. Both of them were still trying to stall the idea and the reality that Donghae would be going to enlist soon.

“What are you think about?” _______ asked as she felt her husband’s chest rise up and down, hearing him release a deep sigh.

“What I’ll do when it’s my time to go. I don’t know how I can start my day without you or Hai Yang by my side.” Donghae told _______ as he continued to her hair.

“I know how you feel. I know I’d always keep Hai Yang by my side when we sleep and imagine that you’re just on the other said hugging him too. We’ve talked about this before but…I just…I’m really going to miss you.” _______ said and then buried her face more on Donghae’s chest, she was trying to hold back the tears.

“shhh…I know. Think of it this way, we’ve been married longer than I’ll be away.” Donghae hugged ______ tight.

“Have you asked yet how often we can visit you?”

“Well even if you’re allowed to drop by often, it’s still a long drive ________. I don’t want you driving for hours with our son. Don’t worry I’ll be able to have short breaks and I’ll be able to go out on some holidays.”

“Hmmm…well there are special events when girl groups perform for the soldiers, right? Maybe I can ask our management or a tv network to organize an event.” _______ suddenly thought of the idea.

“You’ll be wearing short clothes in front of thousands of men who have been deprived of women for months??” Donghae questioned her and she just laughed it off.

“I’m kidding…I’m a mom, how can I still show off my body? I’m not as fit as before.” _______ said and sighed after.

“Are you kidding me?! Don’t tell Uee, but you’re even ier than her. I’d want to break guys in half for thinking to have babies with you.” Donghae told _______.

“Really??”

“Did I not tell you how I wanted to have a soccer team with you?” Donghae reminded ______ and that made her chuckle

“But are you worried though?” ______ asked seriously, her voice filled with concer.

“About what?” Donghae asked back curiously.

“Your fans.”

“Honestly…yeah. It’s a make or break thing, once the two years is up. I wouldn’t know if I would still be relevant to the entertainment world or if I still have the fans to back me up. I’m worried about not being handsome enough too when I get the standard haircut when I enlist. But you know, at the end of the day…the only people that matters to me are you, Hai Yang, my family and my true friends.” Donghae confessed his worries to his wife.

“Well don’t you worry about me because I vowed to love you forever and I have no plans of doing anything else but that.” ______ answered and sat up a bit only to look at Donghae in the eye. She then scooted her body up so she could capture Donghae’s lips. The two then shared a passionate kiss. _______ couldn’t help but shed a tear as she would have to get used to cold nights without Donghae by her side. She would definitely miss the comforting, loving kisses that Donghae gave her.

Donghae felt a tear drop to his cheek and he broke the kiss. He wiped her tears away with his thumbs, caressing her cheeks softly. Their gazes were locked with each other. Donghae looked at his wife in a way that she got his message. Through his eyes, he was assuring her that everything was going to be alright…they were going to be fine. “Saranghae.” Those words he expressed will always be an understatement to his ultimate feelings, no words nor lyrics can ever live up to what he had in heart.

After a while ______ re-positioned her body, her back was now resting against Donghae’s chest. Donghae intertwined their hands together, he lifted their hands up a bit and looked at their wedding bands.

“I love you so much. I wish you didn’t have to go.” ______ said and slightly squeezed Donghae’s hand.

“Me too yeobo, but let’s just try to think that it won’t be long.” He then brought ______’s hand closer to his face and planted a soft kiss on it. “You have no idea how it’s going to kill to be away from you and our son. It’s better this way. At least he won’t start school yet. I’ll be back before you know it and we’ll send him off to his first day at school.” Donghae tried to think optimistically.

Sorry if this chapter was fast-paced (?) I felt like the scenes kept jumping and so, sorry for my random - weird writing for this update.
