Chapter 26: Happy Together

A year goes by, Changmin’s as healthy as a horse, Haneul was now 1 and pretty healthy, he got sick easily which always worried Changmin. As for Deneeka and the twins they moved into the house across the street and visited often and would baby sit for them when they were out of country for work. Mi Cha was 5 today so they were celebrating her birthday together with some of her kindergarten friends the other children from the block. Changmin, though he’d some how managed to get sick, still pull together a party and made a cake for his baby girl

“Changminnie, stop take a break, your going to make yourself worse” Yunho said as Changmin continued to run around their house frequently having coughing attacks so hard he needed to hold something for support and had almost collapsed twice since he woke up this morning, and only now were people showing up

“Yun, I’m fine, It’s my baby girls 5th birthday, I’m not going to miss this” Changmin answered promptly having a coughing fit, Yunho sighed

“alright Min, but please take it easy, also Haneul’s up, want me to bring him out” Yunho replied, Changmin nodded and Yunho disappeared down the hall and returned again a couple minutes later with Haneul sitting on his arms

“Yun, will you feed him, I don’t wanna get him sick” Changmin asked, messaging his temples with his fingers, Yunho nodded. Just then Mi Cha came flying in “umma, umma, look was Deneeka gave me” she exclaimed pointing at the little cat ear headband in her hair, some how managing to have a Newfie accent without that being her nationality ‘to much time with Neeka’ Changmin thought to himself before he answered with softly

“very pretty, now you’re my little kitty cat” Mi Cha smiled before disappeared out the back door

“urgh, this is going to be the longest day of my life” Changmin groaned lying his head on the table, he felt like utter

“hey you were the one who said you wanted to be there when your baby girl turned 5” Yunho said sitting down next to him and touching his forehead tisking when he found he had a low grade fever

“Jung Changmin go lay down right now, on top of the coughing you have a fever and no doubt a headache. your making yourself worse” Yunho exclaimed “but, but what about Mi Cha” Changmin mumbled

“Mi will understand, now go” Yunho answered, Changmin sighed giving up, sides he was really drained, getting up and almost falling when he got dizzy but caught himself and continued off toward his and Yunho room to take a nap. He slept for about 4 hours before emerging from the room at around 6:30, 7:00 “hey Minnie how ya feeling. Any better?” Deneeka asked as he walked into the living room

“no my head still hurts” he started voice rough and raspy “great and now I’m loosing my voice, where’s Yun” he finished

“he brought Mi Cha out for Ice Cream” Deneeka answered “took Haneul and the twins too” she added, Changmin nodded going to the kitchen to make some herbal tea, passing out in the process. Yunho can back an hour later, Changmin was on the now lying on the couch watching T.V. shirtless with a cooling pad on his stomach, eating a popsicle, Deneeka was sitting in the recliner next to his head his hair softly

“hey Changminnie how you feeling” Yunho asked

“better now, I passed out earlier. My head doesn’t hurt anymore and my fevers gone down, but now I’m loosing my voice” Changmin answered voice even more raspy and wispy then earlier when he’d first woke up

“awe my poor Minnie, I’ll go put the kid’s to bed and we’ll sit, or in your case lay and watch a movie” Yunho answered disappearing into the hallway coming back 5 minutes later in sweats, Changmin lifted his head so Yunho could sit down promptly placing back in his lap after

“what movie should we watch” Deneeka asked, Changmin poked Yunho and pulling him down whispering in his ear, Yunho chuckle before answered for Changmin

“Changmin doesn’t wanna use his voice anymore and had a suggestion, he wants to watch the last installment of Harry potter” he said, Deneeka laughed puffing his hair from her spot in the recliner, making Changmin huff indigently and pouted, Deneeka stuck out her tongue before disappearing into the kitchen to make some popcorn

“its been a long time since I seen you shirtless, it was harder this time wasn’t it” Yunho asked tracing random shapes on the skin of Changmin side, Changmin know Yunho was referring to his weight after Haneul was born, Changmin had found it harder to lose the baby weight cause he took longer to heal

“yea, I couldn’t do anything cause I wasn’t healing fast enough and now all the fats settled and I can’t get rid of it” Changmin answered voice fading in and out “hey doesn’t matter, so what you’re a size larger then before, I still love you so so much” Yunho exclaimed moving the cooling pad to draw idol shaped and pattern across Changmin stomach, tracing stretch marks and his ’T’ shaped scar that would always be there reminding Changmin and Yunho of the hardships and blessing they’ve gotten in the last several years

“I love you too Yun, thanks for everything, thanks for helping me raise Mi Cha and thanks for giving me Haneul” Changmin said strongly voice rough but steady, he lifted Yunho hand away from his stomach and kissed his palm. There was a knock at the door and Changmin and Yunho looked at each other confused, but when they her Deneeka’s voice they figured she’d answered it, so Yunho went back to drawing idol circles and shapes on Changmin stomach while Changmin laid looking up at him, drawing idol shapes on his fore arm, sure Changmin‘s body is still ultra sensitive to Yunho‘s touch and always will, but Changmin was happy. Deneeka came back in 3 minutes later popcorn in hand, expression of pure happiness

“who was at the door” Yunho asked, know both he and Changmin wanted to know

“it was Taemin, he came over to say sorry and that he’d like to get to know his girls” Deneeka exclaimed. Changmin tutted but said nothing, as long as Deneeka and Yunho were happy he could care less, cause all in all Changmin was happy as well cause despite all the pain and scars he’d gotten over the last several years he had a loyal best friend, a handsome, loving and perfect husband and 2 beautiful children he gets to watch grow up and this all stemmed from 1 incident. It if wasn’t for that 1 incident Changmin wouldn’t be where we was now and for that he was happy, that night Yunho and Changmin made love, Changmin maybe a little more quite then usual, cause he voice was almost gone. They used double protection cause Changmin is apparently quite fertile and they didn’t want any more children at the moment and Changmin wanted to wait a while before getting an operation to removed his womb claiming ‘just in cause I want another’ Deneeka rolled her eyes at that and Yunho tisked. Anyway about 15 minutes in Haneul started crying, Changmin groaned and pushed Yunho off him

“I’ve got him, stay there” Changmin mumbled voice hardly audible

“what about you not wanted him to get sick” Yunho asked

“no point he’ll get sick eventually anyway, if he isn’t already” Changmin answered waking out of the room still completely , not that it mattered cause Deneeka went home, into Haneul’s room and scooped him out of the crib

“hey what’s wrong my baby boy” Changmin asked, Haneul kept trying to bite Changmin’s fingers

“ahh… your hungry, alright lets get you some milk and then back to bed, you ruin umma’s time with appa” Changmin said carrying him into the kitchen, pulled a pre-made bottle of milk out of the fridge and headed back to Haneul’s room, fed him and put him back to sleep, dragging himself back to the bedroom, he was exhausted again, he’d probably only be able to handle one round tonight

“what was wrong with Haneul” Yunho asked

“he was hungry” Changmin answered collapsing on the bed

“jeez Min, you look exhausted, maybe we should call it a night, hmmm…” Yunho asked

“one round, cause even though I’m tired, I’m a little ” Changmin answered, he wouldn’t be able to talk at all tomorrow at the press conference, Yunho agreed and the continued where they left off. An hour later Changmin was asleep on Yunho’s chest member removed and limp between them, off, Yunho smiled as he watched his Minnie sleep, they’d been though a lot but it was all worth it in the end, Yunho loved his son, and of course he loved Mi Cha, and Deneeka and her twins. But most of all he love his Changminnie scars and all.
