Chapter 23: Deneeka’s turn to give birth

2 months go by Changmin’s 5 and ½ months pregnant and Deneeka was due to go any day now. She was terrified and Changmin understood and comforted her as much as possible. Due to the dangers Deneeka couldn’t do a home birth, which she’d wanted to do for Changmin’s sake, when she told him this he answered

“I don’t care if I’m pregnant and male, I’m going to be when you give birth, I’m gonna keep my promise” his voice was determined and his glare was aimed at Yunho knowing he’d try to make him stay for his own safety, Yunho sighed knowing he’d get no where against a pregnant stubborn as hell Changmin

“fine, fine, but be careful, wear the baggiest shirt you own and no your Pikachu sweater won’t work” Yunho stated, Changmin pouted when Yunho said no Pikachu sweater, he loved his Pikachu sweater, he’d ordered it online when he was pregnant with Mi Cha and continued wearing it even after she was born, but nodded anyway disappearing into their room to search his maternity wear. 2 am that night Deneeka’s water broke, her pain scream woke both Changmin and Yunho

“Min get dressed, I’ll go check on Deneeka” Yunho said hushed, Changmin nodded heaving himself out of bed. 5 minutes later Yunho shouted “Min, hurry we don’t have much time, her contractions are 10 minutes apart” Changmin burst out of the room a minute later wearing his stretchy yoga style pants and the biggest oversized shirt he owned which had ‘Star Wars’ written on it “good boy Min” Yunho said patting his head, referring to what we was wearing “you help Deneeka to the car I’m gonna get it started” he added after

“take hers its closer” Changmin answered taking the keys from Deneeka’s purse and tossing them at Yunho who caught them and disappeared out the front door

“CHANGMIN!!!” Deneeka screamed, he could tell the contraction were getting harder and harder for her to handle

“Shh.. I’m here Neeka, I’m here, come on we gotta get you to the hospital its to dangerous for you here” Changmin answered helping her to her feet, wincing when a quick stabbing pain hit his lower abdomen, that happened to him a lot but Rain had assured him it was nothing. Once Changmin finally got Deneeka into the car her contractions were only 5 minutes apart, Yunho hit the gas and speed off making sure that they weren’t breaking the speed limit. 3 minutes later they made it to the hospital, there waiting was Rain and another doctor

“Changmin-shii, its strange seeing you here, being how big you are ” Rain said when he seen Changmin walk in bracing Deneeka

“I made a promise and I’m keeping it” Changmin stated panting slightly, Rain nodded

“Rain-shii, she’s 9 meters already, she’s ready to push” the other doctor stated

“Changmin, Changmin, Changmin” Deneeka whimpered continuously

“sit with her, she needs you, Yunho wait in the waiting room if you please” Rain said addressing Yunho and Changmin in the same sentence, they both nodded, Changmin grabbed at chair pulling closer to the hospital bed, he was getting lightheaded anyway, and Yunho disappeared out the door

“Neeka, Neeka I’m here, Minnie’s here, on your next contraction your going to push Arresso” Changmin spoke taking her hand and glancing at Rain who nodded. Deneeka did push on her next contraction, squeezing tightly onto Changmin’s hand as she pushed down, listening for then to stay stop. Meanwhile while Changmin was helping Deneeka through the last stages of her labor, he seemed to have roused his own baby, who was kicking him painfully hard, plus now his lightheadedness turned to dizziness, he closed his eyes hand still held in Deneeka’s and breathed in slow deep breaths trying to calm himself and his little on down, He opened them again when he heard a cry, looking up he caught sight of a baby girl with black hair, then looked back down at Deneeka

“your doing great Neeka, your doing great” he said softly

“yea but what about you, I’m getting you and the baby worked up, just cause I’m in pain doesn’t mean I haven’t seen you deep breathing and wincing every 20 seconds” Deneeka said voice hoarse

“Neeka, we’re fine I promise” Changmin answered, Deneeka didn’t get to answer cause another contraction came and it hurt real bad, but with that one contraction she moved the second baby for enough that they could see the top if its head. Changmin knew that his and Deneeka’s birthing experiences were completely different cause he couldn’t give birth that way, but he also know his was the most painful in the long run cause of the c-section incision. 5 minutes later Changmin and Deneeka were holding 2 little babies, bother girls, Deneeka was holding Jaemin and Changmin was holding Ginger, it was 6 in the morning and they were happy. Yunho had stopped by shortly after Deneeka was moved into her room and had told them he was going to get some food asking Changmin if he wanted to come, Changmin answered no, but did say

“there’s a 24 hour McDonald’s down the street can you get me a large mint milkshake and a large fry” Yunho nodded and disappeared once again

“let me guess your going to dip the fries in the milkshake” Deneeka had asked, Changmin nodded and Deneeka had to laugh

“Yah! Don’t laugh you know what its like” Changmin yelped pouting, Deneeka stopped laughing and smiled, lightly patting Changmin’s stomach and started rubbing small circles around his belly button, Changmin stopped her lifting her hand and pulling up his shirt, Deneeka smiled again placing her hand back where it had been and continued rubbing small circles around his belly button which was now pushed inside out like hers had been, it was strange to look at considering Changmin was male, but non the less Allykat still thought of it as a normal pregnancy, she stopped when she felt it kick watching as Changmin winced slightly, Changmin laughed stating it hurts when it kicks to hard, Deneeka laughed too, she‘d never felt it hurt when her twins kicked, but then again her and Changmin‘s pregnancies were totally different. All in all they were both very happy and were now only waiting for Changmin’s new arrival.
