Chapter 24: Changmin’s Turn, Turn’s Scary

Deneeka’s twins were just about 4 months old and Changmin was 6 weeks away for his 9 month mark. At night he would walk around the block, but other then that he could only wander the house, which wasn‘t very big, some times he‘d sit in the back yard when the temperature was just right, being it was the end of spring. Changmin always help Deneeka with the twins and Deneeka was grateful for it but questioned how he was going to juggle, Mi Cha, helping her with her twins, his own new baby and his company at the same time

“I’ll figure it out, plus Yunho will help” Changmin answered leaning his head against the back of the couch suddenly feeling completely drained, like the life had been from him, sure he hadn‘t been feeling well all day but he figured it was nothing, Deneeka noticed his sudden change in demeanor and spoke

“Min are you okay” Changmin said nothing just sighed groaning slightly, Deneeka suddenly became worried and stood up placing a hand on Changmin’s forehead, he was burning up

“! Yunho Changmin’s got a fever” Deneeka yelled, Yunho ran out of their room

“say what” Yunho asked expression fearful

“Changmin had a fever, he’s burning up” Deneeka answered clarifying Yunho’s fear, he knelt next to Changmin

“Changmin, Changmin look at me” Yunho spoke patting Changmin on the knee

“Yun” Changmin mumbled and suddenly they both heard a whoosh, Deneeka was the first to realize what it was

“Yunho, he’s water just broke, this is not good, this is really not good” she said voice shaking in fear

“why” Yunho asked

“do you know how dangerous this is, his water broke 6 weeks early” Deneeka exclaimed frantically, Yunho swore he stopped breathing for 2 reason one cause of what Deneeka had just said and two Changmin suddenly went slack on the couch falling sideways unconscious.

“umm… uh Deneeka call Rain tell him everything and tell him to me at the hospital, I’ll carry Changmin to the car” Yunho exclaimed calmly even though inside he was terrified Deneeka nodded pulling out her phone while Yunho heaved his unconscious lover into his arms and disappeared out the front door, Deneeka followed talking to Rain in the process

“all right…yea I’ll tell Yunho that…no problem…yea thanks at bunch Rain” Yunho heard Deneeka speaking pausing in-between and listening to what Rain had to say “alright Yunho, Rain’s gonna meet you there, he doesn’t foresee anything bad happening if you can get him to the hospital in and hour, I’ll be there as soon as possible” Deneeka said hardly articulating twice she was speaking so fast and yet Yunho had managed to catch everything and nodded turning the ignition and backing out speeding down the road.

-Yunho’s P.O.V-

My hand shook as I pushed the clutch farther forward making the car go a fast as possible, I looked back at Changmin who was still lying limp on the back seat, he was in danger right now and if I didn’t get to the hospital fast I might lose my Changminnie, my Lover, My everything. I managed to arrive at the hospital in 20 minutes pulling into the parking lot I pulled into the closest spot and got out heaving Changmin’s body into my arms and rushing through the emergency room door. Standing on the other side was Rain and another doctor

“Yunho quick put him on a stretcher, if we don’t move fast we might lose either the baby or Changmin or even both” Rain said instantly, I nodded placing him on a near by stretcher

“what happened Deneeka told me he was fine one moment and looking sickly the next, and when she reached forward he was burning up” Rain asked

“I-I don’t know, Deneeka called me out of our room where I was reading e-mails telling me Changmin had a fever, I got his attention all he muttered was ‘Yun’ there was a whoosh, he’s water broke, Deneeka freaked then Changmin passed out” I answered stuttering, Rain nodded and they rushed Changmin away, Rain stating for me to follow and after a couple wards instructed me to sit and wait. I did terrified and shaking I felt like I pit was swallowing me whole, feeling a hand on my shoulder I looked up finding Deneeka looking back at me carrying a very sleepy looking Mi Cha in one arm and a twin seated stroller set next her with 2 little pairs of blue eyes staring at him

“Deneeka” I said voice cracking

“Shh… Yunho everything going to be fine, Changmin’s strong” Deneeka exclaimed sitting down next to me

“Appa, where’s Umma” Mi Cha asked sleepily

“Umma’s giving birth Mi” I managed to answered. Just then Rain came out

“Yunho, oh and Deneeka, good to see you, I see the twin’s are healthy” Rain said

“good to see you to Rain, twin’s a doing great, but that’s not what we need to talk about” Deneeka answered

“right, so baby’s fine, HE’S in no danger at the moment. Though HIS lungs, heart and other organs aren’t completely developed as I’d thought, so were currently feeding HIM though a tube” Rain answered

“oh so IT’S a baby boy” Deneeka exclaimed, Rain nodded

“I-Is Chang-m-min okay” I asked I was this close to crying

“mmmm… he’s stable now, he lost a fair amount of blood during the operation and we thought we were going to loose him twice but by some miracle maintained he’s heart rate, unfortunately we had to change this incision, we started with the old one but had to cut a second one cause we couldn’t get the baby out, so it’ll take longer for him to heal completely” Rain explained

“how do you mean cut it again” Deneeka asked

“we had to cut on either side of off of the first diagonal on, to basically the final incision was ‘T’ shaped, and once he‘s healed his belly button won‘t be the same cause the original incision cut down from the belly button, I tried to cut around it but the baby was in danger and we had to work fast” Rained answered, Deneeka and I both made ‘o’ expressions and Rain smiled “you can go see him, although he’s still unconscious or was when I last seen him, he’s being brought to recovery room 88” Rain exclaimed, Deneeka and I nodded heading toward the recovery ward finding him of the 2 floor. When we got there a nurse was coming out

“oh are you Changmin-shii’s family” the nurse asked, we nodded

“oh well he’s waiting for you” she finished “wait, so he is conscious” I exclaimed, the nurse nodded and walked off Deneeka and I opened the door. Changmin was there attached to a oxygen machine tube leading up to his nose, he also had a IV tube attached to the back his hand and a second tube attached to the crease in his arm which led to a blood bag, both needles were taped down to his skin, his heart was going strong but his brownish tanned skin was a couple shades paler then usual and that worried me, Changmin lightly up when he saw us come in

“Yunnie, Neeka” he exclaimed weakly

“hey babe” I managed to say striding over to his side in 2 quick steps

“is the baby okay” Changmin asked

“yeah, its fine, its in the ICU” I answered taking his free hand into mine, afraid I’d hurt him if I took the hand with the needles in it

“can we go see it” he asked me again, I shook my head no “wae” he questioned

“cause its dangerous for the both of you it the moment” I answered adding

“and IT’S a HE, what are we naming it”

“it’s a boy” Changmin exclaimed, I nodded, Changmin was silent for a moment thinking before he said “Haneul”

“Haneul?” I asked confused

“yea, it mean heaven or sky” Changmin answered

“but isn’t Haneul a female name” Deneeka spoke

“ani, its uni” Changmin answered

“okay well I like it” I stated kissing his forehead, he smiled “you gave us quite a scare you know that Changminnie” I added softly

“I’m know and I’m sorry, but I’m okay now” Changmin answered moving his right hand to place on top of mine flinching at the needles prickling his skin

“good, we love you” I said kissing him again this time on the lips.
