Chapter 1: Secret Revealed

Deneeka’s P.O.V

Sitting in my art class staring absently at a educational film the Professor put in cause he was to lazy to teach himself, I had considered pulling out my sketch book to finish my anime drawing Changmin my best friend and roomie, reaching into my little hello kitty head backpack I pulled out a pencil flipping open the sketch book they’d supplied me ready to sketch out his hair when my phone buzzed, Changmin had texted me

{I have something to tell you, I’ll meet you in front of your building} he said, I sent a quick reply before tuning back to hear the teacher explaining some about a test next week. The bell rang meaning it was time to go home but first I have to meet with my Changminnie. Changmin’s been my bestie since My sophomore year of high school, now were in University together, Changmin studying post modern music and me studying the arts mainly Japanese animation and graffiti. I stepped out of the building and stopped, I found Changmin sitting on the bench across from the building, the bench was in a little the garden with a cherry tree in the centre surrounded by a variety of different kinds of flowers from tulips and roses to flowers from different countries, I walked over textbooks for art and Drama, which is my minor weight heavy in my arms. No I don’t use a book bag I haven’t since I started high school, Changmin always nagged me because of it,

“hey Changminnie” I said sitting down next to him

“hey to you too, hows my Neeka today” Changmin replied, he had his side shoulder death note bag slung over his shoulder, we were both anime freaks, and I did own a vampire knight shoulder bag stored in my locker incase I just so decide to use it

“tired but good, so what is it that you wanted to tell me Min” I answered

“oh yeah right Umm… this is going to be difficult” Changmin stopped biting his lip, I know it was something that made him uncomfortable, he only ever bit his lip when he was nervous or scared

“Min you know you can tell me anything right” I pushed, Changmin nodded closing his eyes and taking a breath

“okay so here goes… Deneeka I’m gay” he finally said

“b-bwa” I stuttered, my brain still processing what he had just said, Changmin kept silent waiting for an answer, still nibbling at his lips. Moments later things clicked and I breathed in sharply eyes widening “g-gay as in loving males instead of females” I asked, Changmin nodded shifting awkwardly, I could tell he wanted to say something but he know he couldn’t “oh Changmin stop being awkward I understand and I’m happy you’ve come and told me, shows me how much you trust me” I said pulling his hand into mine and holding it there, he looked up at me expression so innocent I wanted to hug him

“really, you understand, your okay with it, you aren’t going to judge me” he asked

“Anya, I have no reason to” I answered, he smiled eyes crinkling into mismatch ovals left eye almost completely closing

“good then I have to introduce you to some one, come on his just finishing his classes” Changmin spoke excitedly getting up and literally yanking me to my feet, wrapping an arm protectively around my waist, he’d always done that, he’s always been my protector. A few moments later Changmin and I stopped in front of the music building, we waited for life 20 second before a young man about 25 came out and Changmin waved making the other male smile and come sprinting towards him and leaping into his arms, Changmin catching him easily, they kissed and Changmin set him back on his feet

“Deneeka this is my boyfriend Jaejoong, Jaejoong this is my best friend and room mate Deneeka” Changmin introduced, I smiled despite the fact that something in the back of my head was telling me something wasn’t right

“it’s a pleasure to meet you Jaejoong-shii” I said calmly

“pleasure to meet you too, Changmin’s told me a lot about you” Jaejoong answered

“he has, has he” I answered, looking pointedly at him, he shrugged before saying

“well see you in dorm tonight, we’re going on a date” I nodded hugging him and waving as they walked off before turning and heading off to the dorms. At about 8pm Changmin came home

“hey Min, how was your date” I asked as he joined me on the couch

“great” Changmin answered simply

“what’d yea do” I asked eager for info

“we want for a walk, did some window shopping, then he took me for dinner at an Indian restaurant called taj mahal” Changmin answered before adding

“are you sure your okay with me being gay”

“Mmmm.. Oh yea course, its just something seems wrong and I feel like you going to get hurt” I answered, hurt flickered in Changmin’s eyes but I know he understood, and he smiled letting me rest against his chest as he my long curly Carmel brown hair

“hey, I’m fine I can handle myself if something happens, sides Jae’s a great person” I nodded still looking a little worried “I’m okay I can handle myself quit worrying okay” Changmin said my cheek before continuing my hair his ministrations calming me and making me feel safe, an hour later almost half asleep “your falling asleep, how bout we go bed, its late anyway” he said before kissing my forehead and helping me to my feet, bidding me goodnight as we headed to our own rooms. I closed the door leaning my head against it and sighed, I couldn’t shake the feeling something was going to happen to my Changminnie and something bad. I shook my head once trying to dispel the thought before heading to bed myself, curling under to covers and heading off to dream land.
