I clenched my fists tightly when everything that had happened in school flashed into my head, yet again. I furrowed my eyebrows, who the hell were those guys?

I caught deep breaths as I ran.

Why are they so close to her?

I sprinted even faster.

I need to talk to her. Tell her everything. I took a glance at the necklace tightly wrapped in my palms and made a determined look.

The lorry was approaching, but before I could step over the kerb, I halted in my tracks. That was when, everything hit on me. I didn't loved him, it was just a mere crush.

What should I say to her? I love yo-

A loud screech and the honks of the vehicles boomed through the air. A thud, followed by another was heard.

If I loved him, I would've dashed forward to save him. Risking my life, my soul and everything I had just for him. I didn't. I-

A cold shudder filled my body when the lorry past my vision. Then, there was the lifeless soul on the middle of the road. This time, I dashed forward.

I fell onto my knees when I saw the body on the ground, surrounded by a pool of blood. Without hesitation, I wrapped his hands with both of mine. Tears rolled down my eyes and I was shaking uncontrollably, the scene was too much for me to handle. He painfully opened his eyelids, a weak smile was on his face. He made a small nod towards the palms that I was grabbing on, I understood and let go of it lightly. He opened his hand, showing off a shiny and dazzling necklace, with both our names engraved on it. 

"I love you" He mouthed before returning to the lifeless soul, his eyelids closed.

I sobbed painfully, feeling the warm hotness of grief spill from my eyes and slide down my already trembling cheeks. Through the blur, I could see no movement from the body that was lying on the ground. I bit my lips hard, letting out small muffles of cries from my lips. My eyes squeezed shut, and a strong wave of guilt hit me, “I’m sorry…”
