Suspended for What
Division of HousesSolar pulled her coat tighter around herself as she squeezed through the crowd. Autumn was long gone as winter approached. The air was colder and it would be a few more weeks before snow would soon fall.
Nonetheless, the seats were still filled to the brim as everyone anticipated the game to start. Slytherin was well on their way to win the Quidditch cup however they still have to face Gryffindor after today’s game. Today’s opponent was Hufflepuff, who was fairly mediocre last year due to injuries. However, the team had their best players starting today and all the students were excited for the outcome.
“Gonna bet the opposing team now Yoon Do?” Chorong teased.
“Nope. Learned my lesson, I’m betting Slytherin this time.” the Gryffindor prefect replied. “And don’t call me that.” he said again, narrowing his eyes at his same age friend.
“Oh wow, well. I’m betting Hufflepuff today.” Chorong said with a glint in her eyes.
“What?!” the entire group turned to her with wide eyes.
“Why? I thought you were the one who said I would ride and die for Slytherin’s quidditch team.” Irene exclaimed.
Chorong laughed. “You’ll see after I win 5 galleons from Eric again.”
Eric immediately turned to Solar, “did I just make a mistake?” he whispered.
“Probably.” she shrugged turning to focus on the game.
The crowd screamed as the players entered the field and kicked off on their brooms. Hufflepuff’s captain, Peniel, took his spot in front of the yellow goalpost as Slytherin’s captain, Minhyuk, did the same with green.
The game started as the two teams traded points back and forth, proving to be a tough match between them.
Solar scanned each player, furrowing her brows when she was unable to find who she was looking for.
As if Chorong had read her mind, she leaned in closer whispering to make sure Eric didn’t overhear, “I heard Moonbyul isn’t playing today so I bet on Hufflepuff.”
Seeing a confused face, Chorong added “Moonbyul is Slytherin’s seeker”, assuming that Solar didn’t know who she was talking about.
Solar shook her head, “Wait why isn’t she playing today? I thought her arm healed.”
