New Friendships
Division of HousesFeeling an odd presence next to her, Moonbyul opened her eyes, turning to her right.
Madam Pomfrey had done all she could but it would take about a week for Moonbyul’s shoulder to fully heal. Thus, the Slytherin had been given some Muggle drugs to knock her out for a few hours to let her bones heal.
However, its effects began to wear off, leading the fourth year to come face to face with an unexpected visitor.
“Hello!” the girl chirped, extending her arms to present an assortment of flowers completed with a slightly obnoxious “Get Well!” sign.
“hi...” Moonbyul answered, hesitantly wrapping the fingers of her only functional arm around the gift.
The girl smiled widely at the acceptance. “Sorry about that by the way.” She said, gesturing to the sling around Moonbyul’s arm.
“It’s alright.” Moonbyul replied. “Things are bound to happen in these games and Madam Pomfrey has taken good care of me.”
“That’s good.” The little third year said. There was a beat of silence, as if the girl was debating on saying something or not. However, in the end, it seemed that she had ultimately chosen the former.
“…I was actually aiming for your head though.”
Moonbyul let out a laugh. “Well, I’m glad you missed.” She put down the flowers and extended her arm towards the girl.
“I don’t think I properly introduced myself. I’m Moonbyul, a fourth year of Slytherin.”
The girl took her arm shaking excitedly “Who doesn’t know you unnie! Ah, can I call you unnie?”
After receiving confirmation, she introduced herself “I’m Jung Wheein, a third year in Ravenclaw.”
“Nice to meet you.”
The two managed to converse for a while, bonding over Quidditch and getting to know each other better. Wheein even offered to buy Moonbyul a dinner as an apology for almost removing her head during today's game, but they finally both agreed it to split the bill when the time comes.
Eventually Madam Pomfrey kicked the little puppy out of the hospital wing to let Moonbyul rest and the third year had retired back to Ravenclaw's dormitories.
