Bad day
My DearToday little Ryeowook is very mad at his appa, and in his cute brunette head he has all rights to do so. The man, who address himself as his father threw away his toothbrush. It wasn't just any ordinary toothbrush, no. It was that one in giraffe shape and pattern, he got from his uncle for his birthday. And anything from uncle Chullie is special! How dare he?
Jongwoon sighs looking at his little boy, who still sulks visibly and demonstratively uses his little fork to stab his meal as if he is going to kill it. "Come on, Ryeonggu. I already said I'm sorry," whines the father and wants to reach out across the table to touch the tiny fist that lies next to the children's plate, but the stubborn boy pulls the hand away and pouts at his appa. That almost breaks Jongwoon's heart.
"Why you're still mad at me, my dear? Is it just because of that toothbrush?" The older gives a soft glare to his upset son, but instead of getting an answer, he watches Ryeowook filling his fork and shoves it hastily into his little mouth, so he just haven't to talk to his appa.
Jongwoon bites his lips and thinks. He is not used to be ignored by his beloved boy for that long, what means he really messed up, this time. Normally it doesn't take more than an hour for the little one to crawl back into his father's lap after they had an argument. But today he waits in vain for this to happen. Instead he was confronted with his son's accusing and very angry gazes, the entire day. It's horrible.
And only because the little one discovered in horror, that his toothbrush had been changed overnight, this morning. At first the father was very confused, then usually his son had never bothered if he had done this in the past. Until he realized, yeah ok, it was that giraffe toothbrush.
All attempts to explain that it is a commodity that has to be replaced at some point didn't help. Ryeowook gifted him with a tantrum at its finest, with screaming, crying and slamming doors inclusive. Jongwoon is glad that the boy at least came out to eat with him.
"What do you think about this? After dinner, we get all your giraffes and play with them in my bed, and tonight you can stay with me and we cuddle with each other until we fall asleep. Is that a plan?" In order to clam the situation a little, the father tries to make his son an offer of peace, but the boy is too smart to accept it right away, "No. After dinner, the giraffes want to watch a movie."
"Am I allowed to accompany you?" Jongwoon asks carefully, just to get a very bold, "No," from the small four years old.
"Hey, why you're such a meanie? I really try to make it up to you, but it seems you don't want to give me a chance, here." The parent complains and is obviously hurt by the little boy's behavior, who in turn puffs his cheeks and if he could, he would stamps his tiny feet, but the stool he's sitting on right now, is too high for his short legs to reach the ground.
"No, appa, you're the meanie here," Ryeowook protests, "You took away my toothbrush without asking."
"Gosh, Ryeong, it's a item of use and need to be replaced once in a while."
"But it was mine, and you took it without permission."
"And I already said, I'm sorry."
"But still, it was a birthday gift from uncle Chullie. And you once told me that you can't take anything from others without asking!"
That it's! Jongwoon gulps looking at the brown eyes that sparkles angrily at him.
"It's so unfair," the four years old continues with a trembling bottom lip, "When I touch your things without asking, I will be scolded." Then the upset boy grabs the giraffe plushie that always gets a seat next to him, during meal time, and hopes away from the dinning table.
Watching the little one stomping away furiously, Jongwoon's heart is shattering into pieces. Sitting there left alone on the kitchen's d
