Happy day
My DearOne of the things Jongwoon really appreciates about his job is that he never has to go to work at the weekend. What in turn means that he can spend more time with his little son.
During the week, Jongwoon always needs to tickle the boy out of bed in the morning, but on weekends Ryeowook use to wake up before him. Then he comes tiptoeing to his bedroom, crawls under the covers to snuggle his tiny body like a kitten against his father's one. As soon the cutie feels his appa's moving in the process of waking, the little chatterbox starts babbling, but the loving dad never minds. He pulls the little one into a tight embrace to spend the morning just cuddling lazily in bed, because waking up this way is definitely Jongwoon's favorite. Sometimes his bed is also populated by a colony of giraffes and they play a long for a while. Little moments of pure happiness like this, he loves the most.
But this weekend they have plans, then Jongwoon promised Ryeowook a trip to the mall. Most importantly, the little boy needs new sandals for the summer season, he also asked for new colored pencils for his coloring books and Jongwoon wants to look for better headphones he can use at home for work.
While standing on the kitchen counter, Jongwoon prepares a cereal breakfast with fruits for each of them, Ryeowook dresses himself in the meantime. The boy chooses his favorite giraffe-style hoodie that uncle Chullie bought for him, which he particularly likes because of the small ears and horns on the hood. Afterwards he's hopping into the kitchen, climbs up on a chair and grins at his father, who mirrors the cute smile.
"Help yourself, my dear." Jongwoon says while sipping on a cup of coffee and puts a milk pack back to the fridge, where the newest giraffe drawing is attached to.
"Appa?" Ryeowook blinks with big eyes at the man across from him. "What is it, my dear?"
"When we're at the mall... Can we go to see the ice cream parlor?"
"Sure."
"Yey!" The adorable boy cheers and digs the spoon into his bowl happily. The father chuckles behind his mug, watching his little bundle of happiness enjoying his breakfast.
Later when everything is organized for their short trip, Jongwoon lifts the bubbling little one, to carry him out of the elevator to the parking lot behind the apartment building. While Ryeowook chats along the father makes sure his sunshine is safe in his seat and arranges the security belt between the boy's wiggling short legs.
Ryeowook enjoys each car tour with his appa. Seeing the landscape flying by in a rush is like going on a adventure trip. But when they are on the road for a while, Jongwoon suddenly has to step on the brakes because someone has taken his right of way.
"What a !" the annoyed man curses behind the steering wheel, but regrets it immediately as he hears his little son's giggling from the back. "." Is Ryeowook’s childlike echo with a happy chirp in his voice, which makes his appa flinch.
"Oh Wookie, normally we don't say that. It just accidentally slipped over my lips. I'm sorry." Jongwoon bites his bottom lip nervously as he waits for a reaction from his very curious son.
"What is a ?"
"Someone who did something very stupid. Please, stop repeating this word. It's a bad one. I'm sorry I said
