Rainy day
My DearNormally Jongwoon is used to his little son being a pocket full of sunshine, but it's raining this morning and Ryeowook wakes up very moody.
It all starts when he opens the jungle printed curtains and calls for his cute boy to get up, "Good morning, my dear. A new day is waiting." A wailing sound is heard from the tousled mop on the pillow, followed by a muffled question, "Appa, what day is today?"
"Monday, my dear." Jongwoon answers as he sits at the edge of the small bed, to the little head tenderly. But the boy turns under his blanket and announces self-convinced, "Nope, I won't go there!"
Instead of a cheerful laughter, the little one reacts to his dad, whilst he curls up into a ball and pulls the sheets over himself. "What's wrong, my dear? Don't you want to go the the kindergarten?" The man asks with a worrying expression, but the grumpy boy turns again under the blanket, "I want to stay in bed, today."
"But your friends are waiting for you."

Jongwoon smiles at him in a mix of satisfaction and encouragement, "See, it wasn't that difficult. Now, be a good boy and go brush your teeth." Ryeowook sulks, stamps his foot as he turns on his heels, and makes sure that his little feet are extra noisy on the floor, on his way to the bathroom.
The morning routine is a disaster, because the little one doesn't like his toothpaste, today. He's confident that he never ever liked bubblegum flavor, ignoring the fact that he chose these himself when he was shopping with his appa. In the end, Jongwoon can convince him to at least brush his teeth with water.
Then it occurs to little Ryeowook that he'd rather wear his favorite hoodie, although he and his father had chosen clothes for the day the night before. Unfortunately the hoodie is in the laundry, the rain outside becomes heavier and the boy's mood runs further downwards.
Jongwoon, a whole-hearted dad, tries to distract his unhappy little boy with breakfast, serves him a bowl of these colorful loops that his son is normally only allowed to have on weekends, while he prepares lunchboxes for both of them.
"What kind of fruits do you want to have today, my dear?" Without lifting his gaze Ryeowook answers, "A carpet apple." Widing his eyes in confusion, his appa enquires, "A w
