It's the morning of Christmas Eve as Ryeowook is happily crawling out of bed, jumping into his fluffy slippers and puts his favorite giraffe plushie on the window sill next to a kindly decorated mini fir. "Say good morning to our friend, Kiki," chirps the boy and bounces off to see what his appa is doing in the kitchen, where some noise is coming from. 

The kindergarten is already on holidays, that means little Ryeowook is free and can have breakfast in pyjamas all week long, yeah! But unfortunately, there is one little stupid thing, that prevented his days from being all peaceful and happy. His appa isn't on vacation, yet, and had to work the entire week, before he can take a few days off  between Christmas and New Year's.

Said man is already dressed in a business suit and gulps down a cup of coffee hastily, when little Wookie hops into the kitchen. But seeing his appa ready for work makes the boy pouty.

"Do you really have to go now?" asks the little one and climbs on top of his chair. Jongwoon places a bowl of breakfast for Ryeowook on the table, before kneeling down in front of his son, "We talked about it, my dear. Uncle Chullie will be here in a moment, and halmeoni will join you later. She wants to bake christmas cookies with you. I thought you were looking forward to that."

The little boy only nods, but cannot hide his displeasure as he reluctantly reaches for the spoon, next to the bowl. "But today is my choir performance at church."

"I haven't forgotten about it, my dear. I promise to be there on time, and I'll bring harabeoji with me."

"Pinky promise?"

"Pinky promise." 

The father smiles, ruffles the boy's soft hair, but he can understand his son's irritation, of course. 

Every day he had to ask someone else to look after Ryeowook, and although he knows that everyone is happy to help, once more he feels as a bad parental figure. 

On Monday Shindong didn't mind to take care of the little one. The man next door is in the lucky position to work from home, and he knows Wookie well enough to keep him happy for some hours. 

The next day, Hyukjae offered to take Ryeowook because Donghae was bubbling non-stop about the two best friends had promised to visit each other during the holidays.

On Wednesday Heechul came over. No need to say that his brother and son are a duo. But when Jongwoon came home from work that evening, Ryeowook was still in his pajamas, had a beauty mask on his face as he jumped into his appa's arms and grinned, "We had a beauty day."

"I see." The bewildered father didn't know where to kiss his little boy, as even the cute nose was covered in a heavily scented cream and his brunette hair was glittering suspiciously. 

Yesterday he had no other choice but to take his son to work. Wookie was very excited at first, but then got disappointed because his appa didn't had much time for him. But thank God for Siwon. Although the boy don't liked the high five greetings, he liked it in uncle Siwonnie's office and the other male didn't mind that Ryeowook painted all his printer papers, and even organized burgers and fries for lunch. 

Anyway, the door bell makes Jongwoon emptying the rest of his morning coff
