The next day

You arrived to the cafe ordering an iced tea while waiting for Sejeong to arrive, she ends up coming into the cafe a couple minutes later and you couldn't help but feel nervous the moment she sat down in the chair in front of you.

(Sejeong)-So what did you want to talk about? I would say it's nice to see you but that would just be a lie.

(You)-Well nice to see you haven't changed at all, but I asked you to meet me to talk about Sehun and your relationship with him.

(Sejeong)-What is there to explain exactly?

(You)-Are you two still together? because if you are I need to know

(Sejeong)-Omg you two are going out now aren't you? does Sehun know you're meeting me today?

(You)-No he doesn't know about this, now answer my question

(Sejeong)-Honey if we were still together do you think he'd be asking you out? How can you expect to date someone like him if you're insecure near his ex? I suggest that you work on yourself before you start questioning someone else.

(You)-Maybe I wouldn't be so insecure if you weren't around him so often

(Sejeong)-If you must know we're still friends and I don't think you have the right to separate us.

(You)-So that's it?

(Sejeong)-What were you expecting me to fight over him with you? Please we're not in high school anymore, if you can't handle me being friends with him then maybe you're the one who doesn't deserve him. (she says while taking a sip of her water before leaving the cafe)

In that moment you realized Sejeong was right and that you were too insecure to even be dating someone like Sehun, maybe it was too early for you to even be in a relationship.

A couple days later

(At Sehun's place)-

While he was getting ready for work he had heard his doorbell ring, which caused him to check the front door.

(Sehun)-Who is it?

(Sejeong)-It's me hunnie open up

(Sehun)-(opens the door for her)-"what are you doing here so early in the morning?"

(Sejeong)-I was on my way to work and I figured you needed breakfast as well so I bought you an extra sandwich

(Sehun)-you're the best thanks

(Sejeong)-So anything you want to tell me?

(Sehun)-huh? like what?

(Sejeong)-Your girlfriend texted me to meet her a couple days ago because she's insecure about our relationship.

(Sehun)-What! is she okay?

(Sejeong)-Shouldn't you be the one asking her that? when was the last time you were in contact with her?

(Sehun)-Like last Monday or so but I mean we see each other everyday at work and she seemed fine to me

(Sejeong)-Remember why we broke up? It was because I always felt like I was the one trying to keep our relationship from falling apart, while you were too busy minding only your business.

(Sehun)-Why bring up the past again?

(Sejeong)-I don't want you to make the same mistake with her, let her know that you care about her before it's too late. Well I have to get to work now but I'll see you later (she says while leaving his place)

Back at the office

After taking in mind of what Sejeong told him Sehun got to work early and left the breakfast on your desk while waiting for you to show up.

Moments later you arrived and was shocked to see Sehun near your desk.

(You)-Hey what are you doing all the way at my desk?

(Sehun)-I brought you breakfast since I thought you'd be hungry

(You)-Ohh thanks I actually ate already but I'll save it for lunch then

You then sat down in your chair and saw that he was still standing by your desk.

(You)-Did you need something?

(Sehun)-Yeah I was going to ask you about your weekend plans

(You)-I might have time on Sunday afternoon, why do you ask?

(Sehun)-Wanna go watch a movie on that day then?

(You)-I'll let you know through text how about that?

(Sehun)-Sounds good I'll see you later then (he says giving you a small kiss on the cheek before leaving)

Noticing the awkward tension between you two, your two co-workers asked if you two had just gotten over a fight recently.

(Co-worker 1)-What was that? I thought I was listening to some awkward dialogue from a teen rom com,  plus aren't you two like supposed to be in the honeymoon stage right now since you started dating like a couple weeks ago?

(You)-After I found out he's still very friendly with his ex I just can't help but feel like I'm not good enough to be with him

(Co-worker 2)-What are you talking about? wasn't he the guy you liked since high school? you finally got him so what's the problem?

(You)-He's not even wearing the couple's bracelet I got him, how do I even know he actually likes me?

(Co-worker 1)-If you feel that way then why don't you tell him? you two need to communicate your feelings or else your relationship won't go anywhere like have you two even kissed yet?

(You)-No we haven't 

(Co-worker 2)-What is this a middle school relationship? we're adults now we don't have to follow the rules on when to kiss someone, just go in for it when you feel that the timing is right. It doesn't always have to be the guy that has to initiate the kiss.

(Co-worker 1)-Yeah during the movie just go for it, if he kisses you back then you'll know he likes you too

(You)-Yeah I'm only picturing the many ways that the kiss could go wrong, like what if we bump our heads together instead of our lips?

(Co-worker 2)-Our poor child what are we to do with you? Should we sneak into the theater to help you out?

(You)-Please don't, I don't need you two to embarrass me even more than I  already will on my own. 

Fast forward to your second date with Sehun

You arrived to buy your ticket and some snacks while waiting for Sehun and to your surprise the person working at the register was Mark Lee, who you haven't seen since that summer retreat.

(Mark)-What can I get you?

(You)-I'll get a large popcorn and one soda with two straws

(Mark)-Insert your card whenever you're ready and I'll get your orders in a moment

You couldn't tell if he was just being professional or if he genuinely didn't remember you, but the moment he brought out your order, he ended up giving you his number on your receipt.

(Mark)-Before you say you're not single, don't worry I'm only giving you my number so we can catch up sometime as friends.

(You)-I'd like that (you said waving bye to him as you saw Sehun waiting for you and walked towards him)

(Sehun)-(notices Mark but doesn't say anything)-so you ready to go inside? (he says while taking the large popcorn bowl from you since you're hands were full)

(You)-Yeah let's go

While watching the movie you couldn't help but notice how everyone else around you looked like real couples on a date as they were leaning their heads against each other and sharing food, meanwhile for you Sehun ended up eating all the popcorn and only focusing on the movie the entire time. So you couldn't even do the thing where yours hands would accidentally touch his when you were going for the popcorn bowl at the same time.

It honestly felt like you were just there hanging out with a friend rather than a boyfriend, which I know is everyone's dream but for you this night wasn't what you imagined it to be.

You ended up going to the bathroom halfway through the movie since you finished your drink pretty quickly and as you were on your way out to go back into the theater you noticed Sehun playing with the claw machine

(You)-Sehun-ah what are you doing?

(Sehun)-I noticed you ran off so I was worried and decided to play some games while waiting, do you by chance have 5 more dollars?

(You)-(gives him 5 dollars while watching him play for another 10 minutes)

(Sehun)-I will get this doll for you if it's the last thing I do (he says dramatically)

(You)-Yeah but the thing is you don't need to, I have plenty of stuffed animals on my bed already (you said while trying to pull away your tall bf from the machine)

(Sehun)-Listen I know I haven't been the best boyfriend lately so I figured I'd start changing that

(You)-I don't expect you to change, just be your dorky self, now you really want that squishy hamster doll don't you?

(Sehun)-What? No men don't need squishy dolls, but yes please

You then end up getting the hamster doll on your first try and saw that Sehun was just looking at you in awe.

(You)-(gives the doll to him)

(Sehun)-Omg I love you so much (he says while hugging that doll)

(You)-You're talking to the doll aren't you? 

(Sehun)-No I'm talking to both of you, now let's go get food I know you're mad that I ate all the popcorn but hey you drank all the soda so we're even.

You two ended up having a great rest of your night and decided that being all lovey-dovey wasn't your guys's thing, you two were better suited as those couples who were more playful and childish every now and then.
