Moonbyulyi was a fairly adventurous person. She prided herself on her spontaneity and willingness to try new things. But she was a little apprehensive about where they were off to now in the car. It was nearing 9pm and it was completely dark. Yongsun had been driving for an hour now and had ignored her questions about where they were off to. She knew that they were way outside Seoul, and the roads were clear at this time of the night.

After a long drive on the highway, Yongsun took a turn onto a mud road. It was an honest to god country road, complete with wooden fencing on either side and grasslands. 

"Are you taking me to a decrepit place to kill me?"

Yongsun giggled at this. "Trust me, if I wanted to kill you it'd be much more discreet than the countryside with people living there."

"Wow since when do cops threaten people in broad daylight?"

"I'm not like normal cops Byulah."

"That sounds like a corny line from a movie."

"You started this conversation."

"But for real, can I know where we're going? The curiosity is killing me."

"Good things come to those who wait."

"I'm not gonna get an answer am I?"

"Hmm."

The car finally stopped after what felt like an eternity. In the middle of nowhere. Byulyi was a bit worried. This has to be a mistake.

"Did the car break down?"

"Nope. This is our destination. Get off."

She was apprehensive but she had to trust Yongsun on this. 

There was wooden fencing with a gate on the left lane. Yongsun walked up to the gate and pushed it open. It opened with a loud metal screech and they walked onto the gravelly path. After what felt like a long moment, they were near a cottage. 

"This is my family's cottage. Used to be owned by my grandfather from whom my mother inherited it. She didn't have the heart to sell it and got it renovated to make it self sustainable."
