The next morning, Dr.Kang came back into the ward to check on Jessica's condition before proceeding with the bone marrow transplant.
After checking her temperature etc, he was glad that everything was back to normal and that he can actually go ahead with the transplant later in the afternoon.
Just as he was leaving, Taeyeon woke up.

"Dr.Kang?" mumbled Taeyeon

"Hmm?"
"Im sorry i woke you up"
"I just wanted to check Jessica up" replied Dr.Kang soft

"Oh.."
"How is she now?"
"Has her fever gone down now?" asked Taeyeon worriedly

"Yup its done to a healthy level"
"Im going to call Tiffany in for the transplant now"
"You can go back to sleep"
"You've worked hard last night, doing so much for Jessica" complimented Dr.Kang

"Ani, its what i should do"
"I want Jessica to feel better too" smiled Taeyeon

"Okay, i'll see you later"

Dr.Kang's office

*Phone call*

"Yoboseyo"

"Hi Tiffany"
"Dr.Kang here"

"Yup Dr.Kang?"

"Im calling you to inform you that Jessica's fever had subsided"
"And im able to perform the bone marrow transplant this after"
"Is it okay if you come down now to check into the hospital for some tests before going through the surgery?"

"Jinja?!"
"Her fever had subsided?"
"Okay, i'll come now after i finished bathing"
"Im going to bathe now"
"See you later Dr.Kang" said Tiffany happily

"Okay sure"
"See you later"

*End of phone call*

2 hours later, Tiffany arrived in the hospital at Jessica's ward.
She wanted to visit Jessica before checking herself into the hospital.
Standing by Jessica's bedside, Tiffany looked at her with a little teary sad eyes.

"Why?.."
"Why are you tearing up again Tiffany?.." asked Jessica as she sat herself up on the bed

"Nothing.."
"I was just.. thinking that you had to go through all these alone.."
"For the past few months.."
"If i were you, i wouldnt know how to cope with it.." said Tiffany as a tear rolled down her cheeks.

"Tiffany, it was nothing.."
"Really, there's nothing you have to be sad about" comforted Jessica as she wiped the tear off Tiffany's face.

"No.. Jess"
"You dont understand.."
"When i looked at you yesterday after Dr.Kang left, i knew that you were in much pain.."
"Is just that you kept mum about it.."
"I know you didnt want Taeyeon to worry about you.."
"But, please dont keep it to yourself okay?.."
"I'll be by your side like Taeyeon&Krystal"

"Hahs, Tiff"
"Yesterday.."
"Yesterday is just a daily routine.."
"Im like that like once every 1-2 days.."
"Im just overreacting.." lied Jessica

"Jess" warned Tiffany
"I know when you're lying"

"Fine fine fine!"
"Yesterday hurt like my hand was going melt"

"But, having this once every 1-2 days is true"
"So you dont have to worry much" said Jessica

"Nevermind about those"
"You might not be needing all those horrible things soon"
"I'll be donating my bone marrow to you later" smiled Tiffany
"By the way, where's your Taeyeon?"

"Oh, i asked her to go get something to eat"
"She havent been eating ever since she was here last night" explained Jessica
"Tiffany, Dr.Kang there's a 30% rate of my body rejecting it.."
"So i might still need these.." said Jessica sadly

"Jess, be confident"
"Im sure you'll be in the 70% range!"

"I dont know about it Tiff.."

"Even if you dont know, you'll still have to do it"
"You remember what you went through last night?"
"Dont let your pain go to waste"

"I know.. i wont.."
"I cant even say no to anything now.."
"Much less the strength to escape the surgery later.."

"Good that you know!" joked Tiffany as she lightly hit Jessica on her head.

"YAH, it hurts!"
"cant you see im all bones now!" exclaimed Jessica as she rubbed her head with a pout

"Sorry then Jess!" giggled Tiffany

Everything's back, the old Jessica.
She's back, the one who love to joke around with Tiffany.
The one who used to love being around with Tiffany much.
Looking at the old Jessica, it made Tiffany felt a little relieved.
But she was also worried about Jessica's body, whether will her body reject the donated bone marrow.
However, she didnt show a tint bit of worry to Jessica.
She wanted Jessica to feel safe.

"Jess, i'll be going now"
"I'll be here when you wake up okay?"
"Dr.Kang says i have to go for a few tests before continuing with the surgery"

"Okay, thanks Tiff"
"Love you"

Then Tiffany just headed off to the administration counter to check herself into the hospital.
After getting changed into the hospital gown in her ward, she followed Dr.Kang and the nurses out for some tests that were compulsory before the surgery.
Fortunately, all the tests results came back healthy.
To think back, it must be healthy, Tiffany eats really healthily lot everyday.
There's nothing for Tiffany to worry about at all which probably explains it.
After everything was done, Tiffany got back to her ward and laid on the bed.
She was praying, praying that everything will go well for Jessica.
Hoping that god will be able to hear her pleas.
But was interupted when the nurses enter with a set IV.

"Hi Ms.Hwang, we're gonna insert this into your arm before the surgery"
"So that the doctor can inject the anesthetic into you through this together with these" explained one of the nurses as they pointed to the bag of liquid

"Oh really"
"Okay, go ahead then" said Tiffany but cringed at it as soon as she sees the big fat needle that was going into her arm.
"Oh , how did Jessica went through these.." mumbled to herself as she looked away from her arm

"Okay this is gonna pinch a little.." said the nurses as they inserted it into arm.

As they inserted it into her arms, Tiffany winced a little at it but was okay afterwards.

"There, we're done" smiled the nurses.
"Dr.Kang will be here any moment to brief you on the surgery after effects later before we wheel you into the surgery room"

"Okay, thanks" eye-smiled Tiffany

Just as the nurses left, Dr.Kang came in with another 2 different nurses.

"Hey Tiffany"
"How're you feeling?"

"Feeling great" replied Tiffany

"Thats good"
"Now im gonna brief you about the after effects of this transplant"
"After the transplant, its best if you rest for at least 3 days okay?"
"Cause your back will feel really sore, especially after the surgery"
"Yup, we'll prescribe medicines for it. But it dont really usually work that well"
"And, if there's any complications, come back to me immediately after that"
"Get it?" warned Dr.Kang sternly

"Araesso" smiled Tiffany

"Okay, if everything's well"
"We'll go now" said Dr.Kang as he motioned to the nurses to push Tiffany into the surgery room.

Inside the surgery room, Jessica had already been put into sleep by Dr.Kang.
Looking at Jessica as the anaesthetic medicine take over Tiffany's body as she started falling sleepy.
Slowly, her eyes went shut and the whole transplant started.

5 hours later, the surgery theatre's light went off and Dr.Kang came out.
Was initially shocked to see so many people standing outside the surgery theatre but was glad that the both of them had such great sisters to stand by them.

"Dr.Kang, how's Tiffany&Jessica?" asked Taeyeon worriedly

"Tiffany's fine, dont worry"
"Jessica, we'll have to monitor her condition"
"Cause there's a high rate that her body rejects the bone marrow" explained Dr.Kang

"Okay, thanks"
"Can we visit them now?" asked Sooyoung

"Yup of course" smiled Dr.Kang

"Thanks Dr.Kang" thanked Krystal

Everyone then started to moving to Jessica's ward.
Everyone wanted to see how Jessica is doing.
It seemed like everyone actually forgot about Tiffany, but Tiffany didnt mind it at all.
Jessica requires their attention more than her, more help&care than them.
But to Tiffany's surprise, when she woke up, she saw Krystal sitting by her side.

"Krystal?.." Tiffany called as she slowly sat up
"Arrghh.. Its really sore.."

"Easy Tiff unnie" Krystal said as she help Tiffany up.

"Why are you here?"
"Shouldnt you be in Jessica's ward rather than here?"

"Oh, i thought it would be nice of me to visit you"
"Since everyone was staying in unnie's room"
"And, unnie wont wake up that fast"
"So i thought i'll come check up on you" smiled Krystal

"Oh, im fine"
"You dont have to"
"Just a little sore at the back like what Dr.Kang said"

"Then lie back, why did you even sit up"

"Nope its fine, i wanna visit Jessica"

"Seriously?"
"In this state?"

"Yup serious"
"Come on, help me up"

"Fine fine"
"But if you really cant take the soreness, tell me okay?"

"Okay" chuckled Tiffany
"Lets go" said Tiffany as she got up from her bed and pushed her IV stand towards Jessica's ward.

When she entered Jessica's ward, it was really quiet.
All the girls were there, with their hands cupped together, head facing down.
Everyone were praying for Jessica, for Jessica's recovery.
Upon seeing that, Tiffany&Krystal moved a little faster and sat down together with the girls as they prayed for Jessica's recovery.
This was what the girls do everytime before their concert, the hearts of 8 girls.
After praying, they sat up and was surprised to see Tiffany beside them.

"Tiffany?"
"You're here?" asked Taeyeon, surprised.

"Yeah im here since no one accompanied me" pouted Tiffany

"Awww, we are sorry Tiff!"
"We were worried about Jessica!" explained Sunny as she went over to give Tiffany a hug

"Ahh, ahh, ahh"
"Stop it Sunny, my back is really sore"
"Stop throwing yourself over" pleaded Tiffany as she rubbed her back.

"Ops sorry!" chuckled Sunny as she scratched her head.

"Tiffany unnie, how are you feeling?" asked the maknae

"Maknae's the only one who cared!"
"Maknae i love you!" exclaimed Tiffany which made everyone burst into laughters.

"See?"
"We dont have to worry about her at all" joked Hyoyeon

"Yeah, she's back to her normal self again"
"Forever so loud!" added Sooyoung

"What kind of sisters are you girls?"
"Only knows how to criticise me" said Tiffany as she crossed her arms, pretending to be mad.

"Aww, come on Tiffany!"

As they were happily chatting together, the machines around Jessica started beeping rapidly.

"Something's wrong!" shouted Krystal
"Call Dr.Kang!"
"NOW!" instructed Krystal

"On my way~" shouted Hyoyeon as she dashed in Dr.Kang's office and came back running with Dr.Kang and a few nurses.

". What i've expected happened" mumbled Dr.Kang
"Quick, inject her a heart&blood pressure stablizer" ordered Dr.Kang

Soon, everything finally calmed down, but the expression on Dr.Kang's face was kinda serious.
After Jessica had stablized, he made the nurses go out of the ward and closed the door.

"Okay, sorry but this is a bad news"
"Jessica's body had rejected this new bone marrow.." started Dr.Kang

"What?!"
"How can it be?!"
"She's been perfectly fine until then!" said Taeyeon, unable to believe what she just heard.

"No, listen"
"The rejection of bone marrow needs time"
"Thats why it was shown later"
"Im sorry, but we'll have to look for a 2nd donor"
"But the good news is, for the 2nd donor, the possibility of her succeeding is high"
"Cause through studies, there wasnt many cases that the body will reject the bone marrow the 2nd time"
"So, lets just hope Jessica can managed through till we find her another donor"
"Dr.Choi&I will move Jessica's name in the waiting list to the first person-in-line since its pretty urgent for her"
"So im sure we will hear some news from the donor centre soon"
"At most in 2 months time" explained Dr.Kang

"2 months?!"
"Our Jessica still has to suffer for another 2 months?!" exclaimed Sooyoung

"Yeah, 2 months.."
"Its too long for Jessica.." added Hyoyeon

"Precisely"
"You're her doctor, im sure you seen how she scared she was at everything gave her"
"The medicines, treatments & needles"
"You want her to continue it for another 2 months?" asked Sunny

"But there's really nothing i can do girls"
"This is the most i can do for her, bringing her name to the first in the waiting list"
"Its already against the hospital rule, but Dr.Choi&I just changed it for her" further explained by Dr.Kang

"Girls, stop it" started Tiffany
"Dr.Kang has tried his best already"
"Stop blaming on him"

"Yeah, we should thank Dr.Kang for his hardwork instead of blaming him" agreed Taeyeon as she stood up and thanked him.
"Kamshahamida Dr.Kang"

"You're welcome Taeyeon"
"Im sure Jessica will pull through these 2 months"
"She had already went through so much over the few months"
"Im sure she'll be able to go through it over the 2 months"
"Im confident about it" said Dr.Kang

"Same goes for me"
"I've known Jessica since young"
"I know how strongwilled she is" said Dr.Choi as he entered the room
"So dont worry too much, all you girls can do for her is to stay by her side and cheer her on" smiled Dr.Choi

"Of course we'll do that!" said Sooyoung

"Yeah, there's no need to tell us that" added Hyoyeon

"As her sisters, we'll definitely stand by her and cheer her on" said Yoonyul

"Glad to hear, we'll be leaving now"
"See ya soon" said Dr.Choi&Kang as they left the room.

After Dr.Choi&Kang left, Taeyeon dismissed the other girls back to their dorm to rest.
They had a long tired day and should get ample rest instead of staying in the hospital with Jessica.
While Tiffany, got chased back to her ward by Taeyeon since Taeyeon didnt want Tiffany to sleep on the chair like her 'cause it aint good for her back.
Especially now, sore after the surgery.
Taeyeon only returned to Jessica's ward after making sure Tiffany's fast asleep.
Inside Jessica's ward, Taeyeon, as usual were sitting by Jessica's bed, holding onto her hand.

"Sica-ah.." started Taeyeon softly as she caressed Jessica's cheeks
"You'll be fine soon.."
"Dr.Kang says you'll have to wait at most another 2 months since your body rejected Tiffany's bone marrow.."
"Dont worry about anything, i'll be with you no matter what.." said Taeyeon as she brushed Jessica's hair away.

Suddenly, Taeyeon's hands got caught by Jessica's.

"Hey Sica.."
"How're you feeling?.."

"Fine.." replied Jessica weakly with a smile
"Dont.. feel sad.. because of me.."
"Its expected.. of my body.. to reject it.."
"Its just that.. i felt a little bad.."
"Made Tiffany.. went through the.. surgery.."
"But it was.. useless.." said Jessica slowly

"Tiffany didnt mind it at all, silly" cooed Taeyeon
"We were just hoping that you wont give yourself up over the two months"
"We really want to return to the stage with you"
"A healthy Sica.."
"Our popularity dropped quite a lot when you left" joked Taeyeon
"We really need you back to raise back our popularity!"

"Ha..ha.."
"Okay.. I'll try.."
"But please.. just dont come.. when im getting my.. treatment or checkups.."

"Its just.." Jessica stopped and got into a coughing fit.

"You get what you want" said Taeyeon as she couldnt bear to argue with Jessica anymore, she dont want to see Jessica coughing even more.

"Im getting sleepy.."
"Goodnights.." smiled Jessica as she drifted back to sleep

"Goodnights, sleepyhead" whispered Taeyeon as Jessica fell back into deep slumber.

Days&weeks slowly passed, Jessica got weaker day by day.
The hours of her being awake is less than the hours of her being unconscious.
Her treatment became harsher and harsher, it was done so in order for her to be able to pull through the 2 months.
And as promised, Taeyeon never did she once entered the room when Jessica was receiving the chemotheraphy or checkups.
Jessica didnt want Taeyeon to see her in pain, didnt want Taeyeon to see her painful tears.
She knew that if Taeyeon were to see it, she would definitely tear up too.

One day, while Jessica was awake chatting happily away with Sooyoung,Hyoyeon,Sunny,Seohyun&Yoonyul,
something was broadcasted through the broadcasting system that were available specially for the hospital Jessica's in end.

"I hope im not disturbing any of the patients here" giggled Taeyeon over the mic.

"Especially with these balloons" Jessica said as she pulled one down and tied to her bedside.

"See? We told you she'll love balloons" said Yoonyul

"The both of you are the best okay? Like twins" replied Sunny with an annoyed look

"BLEAH" teased Yoonyul as they sticked out her tongue at Sunny

"Look at them!"
"They are bullying me Jessica!" complained Sunny, with bursting aegyo.

"That aegyo of yours, gotta stop soon"
"its gonna get a punch from us soon" joked Jessica which made everyone burst in laughters.

After that day, the girls got into another step closer.
The girls spent most of their free time in the hospital accompanying Jessica instead of going back to their dorm and rest or head out for a shopping spree.
They kept all their shopping sprees urge because they wanted to go with Jessica.
Everyday in Jessica's ward, the girls never failed to visit her, and prayed inside the room for Jessica.
They were praying, praying for Jessica's recovery, Jessica's health and also, the members' healths too.
Their pleas to God were made by 8 hearts, that were filled with care, concern and love.
