Days, weeks, months passed.
Its been 4 months since Jessica started working for Kims Enterprise.
She seemed to have handled the given project pretty well.
And able to put up with all the ordering & insulting around in the office.
But, the time for her to handle both her work at Kims Enterprise & Jungs Holdings were not enough.
In order to put up with her busy schedule, she relied a lot on vitamin pills.
Or sometimes a little serious, glucose IV.
The biggest achievement Jessica made was that she managed to keep her cover in Kims Enterprise.
For 4 whole months, Taeyeon dont even know that Jessica's working there.

But one unfateful day,
while Jessica was running some errands for her colleague in the office,
something happened.
She had to go down to level 2 and there she was,
at level 4.
The lift that day broke down.
As she was about to walk down the stairs,
she stopped after someone came in and said,

"Well well, what have i got here?"
"Isnt it the almighty Jessica again?"
"Why are we that fated to be?"
"Working in the same department and now,"
"We actually met in the same staircase?" Hyoyeon said sacarstically.

Jessica was really annoyed by Hyoyeon.
Her words were really bitter all the time.
The best part was, Sooyoung would also join in all the time.
But knowing that the best way to leave is to feign ignorant,
Jessica just smiled weakly and started to walk off.
But got pulled back by Hyoyeon.

"What? Now you're ignoring me?!"
"You think you're a big shot?!"

Jessica just stood still with an emotionless face.
Looking at that, Hyoyeon was even angrier.
She pushed Jessica onto the wall.
A loud bam was heard.
The impact on Jessica was huge,
Jessica was kinda petite and weak.
The pain for her was inbearable.
To add on, Hyoyeon was holding onto her wrist against the wall.
Tightly.

"Let go, Hyoyeon"
"It hurts" sobbed Jessica

"What hurts?"
"I cant hear you~"
"Look at our beloved almight Jessica"
"She's crying now~" taunted Hyoyeon

Then, Jessica started struggling to get out of Hyoyeon's grip.
During the tugging&pushing, Hyoyeon let go of Jessica, suddenly.
It was such a sudden action, Jessica was caught aback and lost her balance.
There she go,
rolling down the flight of stairs.
Within seconds, she's on the ground, groaning& in pain.
And Hyoyeon, knew that she got into a big trouble now.
Afraid of what was going to happen to her,
she ran away to Sooyoung without helping Jessica.

Jessica's back was initially hurting because of how hard Hyoyeon had her banged on the wall.
Now she rolled down the stairs.
Her left arm&waist was hurting badly and tears were flowing uncontrollably down her face.
Beads of sweat were formed on her forehead.
And eventually, she out.
Hours later, when Jessica awoke,
she realised that she was still in the same place where she met with the accident.
No one came and help her, not even the security guard that should be patrolling around.

Jessica's POV

Ouch..
Everything hurts so much right now..
Who can i actually call for help in such places?
The whole company hates me for being here, why would anyone help me even if i called for one?..
Arghh..
I cant call Taeyeon too..
Mr.Kim said that this project was supposed to be kept away from Taeyeon..
Arghh..

I guess i can only call Yuri..

*Phone call*

"Yoboseyo"

"Yu..ri..ah.."

"Ms Jung?"

"Can.. you.. co..me.. to Kims..Enter..pr..ise.. sta..ir..case.. B?"
"Now..?" said Jessica weakly over the phone.

"What happened Ms.Jung?"
"Okay i'll be coming over now!"

"Co..me.. first.."

*End of phone call*

Ouch..
The pain.. really unbearable..

End of Jessica's POV

Soon, Yuri was seen running into Kims Enterprise.
And coincidentally, Taeyeon&Yoona was seen leaving the building and then,
their eyes met each other.
Taeyeon then turned to Yoona.

"Yoona, why is Yuri doing?"
"And looking so flustered?"

"I dont know" Yoona shrugged.

"YAH KWON YURI!" Yoona shouted.
"What are you doing here?"

Upon hearing Yoona's voice, Yuri turned and smiled.
But her smile didnt last for 5 seconds.
Yuri ran towards Taeyeon&Yoona.

"Yoona, where is staircase B?"

"Wae? Why did you ask?" Yoona said with a confused look.

"Just tell me Yoona, its an emergency"
"A life is at stake!" shouted Yuri in desperation.

"A life is at stake?"
"Is it Sica, Yuri?" Taeyeon asked worriedly

"JUST TELL ME WHERE THE HELL IS STAIRCASE B!"
"I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON TOO!"
"IF YOU ALL ARE SO INTERESTED, THEN LEAD ME THERE NOW!" shouted Yuri.

So the 3 of them ran, from the lobby all the way to the 4th level.
On the way up, Yuri tried calling Jessica many times but no one answered.
As they were nearing the 4th level, they heard someone's phone rang.
And a little further up, there's a familiar body, crouched on the floor.
Yuri saw and immediately ran up to Jessica.

"Ms Jung!!"
"Ms Jung!!" Yuri shaked Jessica

"Ah..Yuri..Pain" Jessica said weakly

Taeyeon, stood there shocked to see Jessica in her company.
More than the fact that she's in that state.
Ignoring Taeyeon&Yoona, Yuri immediately put Jessica on her back and ran off to their car.
The driver was already there waiting.

"To the usual hospital please"
"Full speed please driver Cho" instructed Yuri

A few hours later, Jessica was being sent back to her ward after being treated.
Yuri,Yoona&Taeyeon were all gathered there.
While Jessica's asleep, the 3 of them went out of the ward.

"Yuri, any idea why Jessica's not with you but in my company?"

"Erm..."
"Im not supposed to tell Ms.Kim"
"I promised Ms.Jung to keep it from you&Yoona"

"Yuri, if you're not gonna tell us"
"im going to ignore you!" threatened Yoona

"Yoonaaa~"
"Haljima!" Yuri whined
"Ms.Jung, she was...*sigh*"
"assigned to a test, by Mr.Kim"
"and it was to test Ms.Jung's capability in taking care of you, Ms.Kim"
"She went through a lot, she's been there for 4 months and 2 more months, she will be done"
"then your grandfather will consider your relationship with her.." Yuri said sadly.

"What it was all halraeborji's idea?!"
"Im going to confront him now!" Taeyeon said

"No, dont Ms.Kim"
"Just pretend that you know nothing, you wont want Ms.Jung's effort go down the drain right?"
"She put up with a lot of things just to be with you"
"She's been sleeping for a few hours everyday, going home only after she finished both the stuff in your company and hers"
"During weekends, she would go out, attend meetings for her own company and went straight home"
"As the weeks passed, her body got weaker & weaker"
"So she started eating vitamins everyday, and receiving IV treatment from Dr.Choi over the weekends regularly"
"You know how much she hated needles, and because of you, she wanted to be with you, she endured with it every week"
"Have you got any idea how much pain it is for her?"
"So please, dont. I was with her, looking at her just made my heart ache for her" Yuri said sympathetically.

"I..."
Thats all Taeyeon could say.
She didnt know what else to say.
Thinking that Jessica put up with so much just to be with her.
And everytime she hangs out with her, she would appear really energetic and stuff.
It was really unbelievable and strong of Jessica to do that.

Then, Dr.Choi entered the ward and came to take a look at Jessica.
Jessica started stirring from her sleep, and slowly opened her eyes.
She saw Dr.Choi and was about to sit up when she felt a sharp piercing pain through her waist.
And her left arm was in a cast.
What on earth happened to her?!

"Oh, Jessica"
"You're awake" smiled Dr.Choi
"Dont move okay, the more you move, the painful your waist will get"

"Okay.."
"What happened to me?"

"Well, i supposed you fell down the stairs?"

"Yeah i did, i mean after that?"

"After that, Yuri sent you to the hospital"
"And found out that you had your 2 of your ribs fractured"
"And a slight hairline fracture in your left arm"

"How long will this cast be on me?"
"And can i be discharge?"

"Jessica, you just got in and you wanna be discharged already?"
"And, since its a hairline fracture, it will be on your arm for only a month"

"Okay"
"You know how much i hate hospitals"
"I pratically grew up in it"

"I guess i can let you go"
"But, please rest already"
"Take this chance to rest yeah?" advised Dr.Choi
"And i'll go get Krystal to bring you home"

"Okay, thanks Dr.Choi" smiled Jessica

Dr.Choi then left the ward and on his way back to his office,
he told the three of them that Jessica has woke up.
So the three of them went into the room only to see that Jessica was holding onto her waist hard.
Trying to sit up, bearing the pain through gritting her teeth hard.
Looking at what she was doing, Taeyeon ran towards her and stopped her.

"Taetae?"
"Why are you here?" asked Jessica, still feeling confused.

"Why am i here?!"
"Let me ask you why are you even here?!"
"You've injured yourself without my permission!" Taeyeon scolded with tears in her eyes.

Jessica knew it was a scolding that was filled with love and worries.
So she couldnt help but laugh at Taeyeon's outburst.

"Araesso araesso"
"Next time, i'll get your permission before getting hurt or something okay?"
"This time round was an accident!"
"I swear!" Jessica explained

Soon, Krystal came into the ward and gave Jessica a hug.

"Unnie, you're forever accident-prone!" teased Krystal
"Come on, lets go. Dr.Choi's done with your discharge papers"
"And oh, Taeyeon unnie, do you wanna follow too?"

"Ah, ani"
"Just bring Jessica home"
"I've got something else to do first"
"I'll come by later"

"Ah.. Okay"
"Anyeong Taeyeon unnie!"

Before Jessica got pushed out by Krystal,
she whispered to Yuri.

"Yuri, i dont think i can go back to any one of the office"
"Do me a favour, while i go home, you head over to both Kims Enterprise&Jungs holdings and bring back all my documents can?"

"Neh Ms.Jung"
"I'll see you later then"

Taeyeon's POV

Im gonna find out the reason behind Sica's accident!
Im sure its not because she's clumsy or anything 'cause she's forever a careful person!
Im sure there's an inside story.

"Yoona, there's a CCTV at every staircase for every level right?"

"Neh Taeyeon unnie"

"Lets go back to the office and get the CCTV tape for today at staircase B"

Hyoyeon's side

"Sooyoungie!"
"Im in deep now!"

"What did you do again?" Sooyoung asked nonchalantly since being in deep for Hyoyeon is super common.

"I've accidentally.."
"Pushed Jessica down the stairs.." Hyoyeon said while rubbing the tip of her shoes against the floor.

"YOU WHAT?!"
"Hell, Hyoyeon"
"You're screwed"

"I know i am!"

"You might even get sued by Jessica"
"She's rich and can do whatever she wants"

"Stop scaring my Sooyoungie!"
"Help me instead of scaring me"
"Thats what a best friend should do!"

"Araesso araesso"
"This will be the last time of all your nonsense okay Hyoyeon"
"Teasing is fine, but not till this extend"
"I'll help, but whether if Jessica will forgive you"
"Thats up to her"

"Okay.."

"First we must buy a fruit basket"
"And then travel to her house and apologise to her officially"

"We must?!"

"Not we, its just YOU"
"Im just accompanying"
"You can choose not to and see whats gonna happen to you then" said Sooyoung while she crossed her arms.

"Araesso araesso"
"We'll go now"

Taeyeon's side

"Have you gotten the tape Yoona?" Taeyeon asked as Yoona walked into her office

"Neh Taeyeon unnie" Yoona said while handling the piece of disc over to Taeyeon

As they viewed the disc, they were shocked at seeing what Jessica went through.
Being pushed around like that, bullied like that.
The more Taeyeon sees it, her blood boiled even more.
She swear that she's gonna get back at that girl who did it to Jessica.

Jungs mansion

After getting home, Krystal helped Jessica onto the bed.
And left her to rest.
Soon enough, Jessica drifted off to sleep.
At the same time, Taeyeon came in and took a look at Jessica.
Glad that she's sleeping so soundly and left the room, not wanting to wake her up.
A few hours later, Taeyeon woke up from her short nap on the couch in the living room,
she went up to Jessica's room to check on her.

Jessica's POV

Argh..
The pain is killing me..
The painkiller..
Isnt even working..

When Taeyeon stepped in Jessica's room,
she realised that something was wrong.
Jessica was shivering under the blanket in a crouched position.
So Taeyeon rushed over to her, only to see Jessica mumbling a word - PAIN.

"KRYSTAL!"
"Call Dr.Choi!" shouted Taeyeon to Krystal

"What happened Taeyeon unnie?" Krystal asked as she rushed into the room with her phone in her hand

"I've got no idea, i came in and she's already like this" explained Taeyeon

*Phone call*

"Yoboseyo"

"Dr.Choi!"
"Come over now please!"
"Something's wrong with unnie" cried Krystal

"Really?"
"Okay, im coming from the hospital now"
"See ya later"

*End of phone call*

15 minutes later, Krystal opened the door for Dr.Choi and they both of them rushed into Jessica's room.
After examining her, Dr.Choi told Taeyeon&Krystal that Jessica caught an infectionn.
Thats why she's running a fever. And because of her fever, it wears off the painkiller's effect.
This also explain why she's in pain.
So now, if you all could stand aside, im gonna insert her an IV to reduce her fever and inject her a painkiller jab.
This will probably last longer for her since a jab one is stronger.

At the same time, Hyoyeon&Sooyoung came into the Jungs mansion since it was open.

"Wow.. Sooyoungie"
"How rich is she exactly?"

"Yeah.. Im also very interested to know the answer too" replied Sooyoung, amazed.

Just then, Krystal was seen rushing down the stairs, and was surprised to see 2 visitors.

"Dugoseyo?"

"Anyeonghaeseyo"
"We're here to visit Jessica"
"Is she here?"

"Ah, unnie"
"She's there"
"Go up the stairs and go straight after 2 rooms, turn left and the room at the end" Krystal said and left into the kitchen to get some towels for Jessica.

When Hyoyeon&Sooyoung got into Jessica's room,
she saw Taeyeon standing at corner seeing Jessica wincing in pain.
There is Dr.Choi holding onto Jessica's struggling arm, trying to insert the IV into her arm.
After much struggling, Taeyeon couldnt hold back anymore, she just wanted it to be done with.
So she walked over and caressed Jessica's cheeks, telling her just a few seconds she'll be done and held her hand down hard for Dr.Choi.
A few seconds later, Jessica was heard wincing after getting poked by the needles twice.
Once the IV, second the jab.

Then Krystal came in with a small pail of cold water & cloth and started wiping it over Jessica's hot body while Dr.Choi left the room.

"Cold..Cold.." Jessica started mumbling and eventually woke up.

Then she realised that so many people were standing in her room.
She slowly sat up and spoke,

"Yah.. Krystal stop using that cloth on me"
"Its so cold"
"Im already very cold and you're making me colder"

"Unnie.."
"You're having a high fever.." Krystal whined in reply

"It will go off soon so dont worry" smiled Jessica

"And, oh?" Jessica said while pointing at Hyoyeon&Sooyoung

"Anyeonghaeseyo Jessica-sshi" greeted Hyoyeon&Sooyoung

"Hyoyeon has something to tell you"
"And here's a fruit basket for you" said Sooyoung

Taeyeon's POV

Hyoyeon?
She looked familiar..
Wait..
Isnt she the one who pushed Sica down the stairs?!
GRRRR..

End of Taeyeon's POV

"Neh, Jessica-sshi, i've got something to tell you"

"WHAT! ARENT YOU THE ONE WHO PUSHED SICA DOWN?!" Taeyeon interupted.
"What have you got to tell her?!"
"Just wait for my lawyer letter!"

Hyoyeon looked down onto the floor guitily.

"Ani.. Taetae.. Dont.."
"Let me hear what she has to say.."
"Taetae, go out and wait for me okay.."

"You sure Sica?"
"What if she's got another plan to hurt you?"

"She wont, im sure"

After Taeyeon left the room, Jessica spoke.

"So now what?" Jessica said coldly

"Well.. Im here to apologise for what i did to you.."
"Im seriously sorry Jessica-sshi"
"I didnt mean it, i didnt mean to push you down the stairs"

"Yeah, Jessica-sshi she's really remorseful for what she did"
"Forgive her please? We wont tease,insult & bully you anymore"
"I promise"

"I promise too"
"Just please dont sue me, i really cant afford to get any lawsuit" cried Hyoyeon

"I didnt say i was going to sue you or anything"Jessica said coldly while looking away.
"Just go back home, im tired already"

"No, i wont"
"Till you forgive me and tell me nothing's gonna happen to me" insisted Hyoyeon
"I can do whatever you want in order for you to forgive me"

"Just leave" Jessica said with her eyes closed.

"Im really sorry Jessica-sshi, please forgive me"
"Dont be like this to me!" cried Hyoyeon

"Yeah, she's really sorry"
"Why cant you just forgive her?" said Sooyoung

"I SAID JUST LEAVE!" shouted Jessica with all her strength but it made her waist hurt again that she had to bend over her body.
"Taetae.. Taetae.." Jessica called for Taeyeon to come in

"Yes Sica?"
"Why did you shout so loud?"

"Taetae.. Help me.. ask them.. to leave.. now..." said Jessica in between gasps

"Okay"
"You two, leave now if you dont wanna get chased out by the broom"
"1.."
"2.."

"Okay okay.. we'll leave but will come again"
"Rest well Jessica-sshi" said Sooyoung&Hyoyeon

Outside the room was Krystal.
She overheard everything and followed Sooyoung&Hyoyeon down the stairs.
Just as they were about to exit the mansion, Krystal spoke.

"Erm.. You guys dont have to come again"
"Unnie wont do anything to you all"

"Wae?"

"Trust me, she's my unnie and i know her well"
"I've lived with her ever since i was born"
"Just dont come back to agitate her anymore, her body's really weak right now"

"Araesso. Thanks"

Jessica's room

"Taetae.. Just ignore what happened today okay?"
"Dont go and sue or do anything to the 2 girls"

"Wae Sica?"
"Especially that Hyoyeon, she's the cause of your current state!"

"I know i know, but you know"
"Its better to have 1 more friend than enemy"
"Seriously, if i find you doing anything to them, im gonna ignore you" warned Jessica

"Araesso araesso"
"If thats what you want" Taeyeon said as she ruffled Jessica's hair and help her lay down on the bed to rest.
