It was a miracle that Jeno and Chaerin were excused to go home early from the family dinner. It was unusual for their parents to ever see Jeno so down during dinner so they were concerned. He had told them it was another migraine and he actually wasn’t lying. Jeno typically maintained his attitude and behavior whenever there were dinners. Unfortunately, he couldn’t bring himself to do so this time. It was too obvious for the parents to not notice so they sent them home out of concern.
Jeno hated being in the car. He had driven the both of them this time so they were alone in his car. It was silent and filled with tension. Jeno was hurt, sad, angry, and conflicted. What was he supposed to do?
“Jeno!” Chaerin’s sudden yell made him snap out of thoughts and slam on his brakes when he caught himself nearly driving past a light while cars from the adjacent side were moving. Jeno panted as he felt his heart racing from what just happened. He mentally cursed at himself for not focusing and at the thought of what could have happened. Chaerin noticed how uneasy and shaky he had become for the rest of the ride back home. He wanted to go home so badly. He wanted to just cry. He would tell himself to push for another block each time. His head hurt so badly and there were far too many things on his mind.
When they did return home, Jeno washed up and did everything in a rushed pace. Even when he opened his bottle to shake out his pills, he seemed so impatient. They hadn’t spoken ever since their fight and neither planned to any time soon.
Instead of going to bed, Jeno was working in his office for the night. He knew there was no way in hell he was going to be able to sleep tonight. His insomnia and migraines were already bad, but with so many things on his mind, it would have been impossible.
Even while he was working, his thoughts were driving him insane. It was to the point that he couldn’t concentrate. Before he even knew it, he was already out of the apartment with his car keys. He needed to leave for a while to get fresh air alone. Jeno honestly didn’t even kn
