Unexpected

His words were completely unexpected. She didn’t think he would ever suggest such an idea.

For the first time regarding this matter, she felt sad. “Why?”

“You didn’t want this relationship from the get go. I’m actually in love with you now. This isn’t going to work out for the both of us. So, if you feel like this was never right for you, you can call it quits.”

Her eyes widened as she was progressing each word leaving his mouth. “Jeno, this isn’t what I want. I don’t want us to end this relationship.”

Jeno was shocked and soon felt his blood boil. He felt so angry. “Why do you get to change your mind whenever you feel like it? Can’t you see that it’s already hard enough for me to say all this? Why do you keep toying me?”

“I was just confused, and I needed some time to think.”

The male was choking on his tears as he shook his head in denial, “It’s always the same! I wanted to be with you and you rejected it. I wanted to break things off because you wanted me to do so and now you want to stay? You’re all the same! You keep playing with my feelings and act like I can be toyed with!” He was upset and hurt. He was feeling so overwhelmed by all of his emotions and thoughts that his head was literally pounding; It was in such excruciating pain.

Chaerin felt guilty. Jeno was hurt and this was the second time she has ever seen him in tears. He was typically far too strong and confident to even shed a single tear. Although he tried pushing her away, she locked her arms around him, keeping him in her embrace. She felt his tears soak through her shirt.

“Just agree to break it off and it’ll be easier for the both of us.” He begged her as he finally pulled away from her.

“And if I don’t?” The male looked in defeat, not knowing what to say, “Then I’ll have to do it whether or not you agree.”

She had to explain everything to him now before it was too late. Hell, it was already too late. Chaerin could only hope this was going to work.
