Unexpected

Like usual, her eyes watched the boy’s movements in awe. God, how can someone like Hyunjin exist? She swore, she could watch him dance all day if he wanted her to. It would be a lie to say she still needed him as a reference to finish her drawing because she was practically done already. She was only giving some finishing touches to it so she honestly didn’t need him anymore. It was just an excuse for her to spend some time with the attractive boy.

His smile was just so breathtaking. “How’d I do?”

“You did amazing as usual!” She applauded him and giving him a thumbs up. He squatted down in front of her, staring at her colored pencil drawing. It was a realistic drawing of him dancing in a studio setting. She made her drawing monochromatic, using blue. He was in awe from how accurate the drawing was of him. It actually made him happy and honored to have such a talented girl like her to draw him.

After leaving the dance studio with him an hour later, they both decided to go eat sushi.

“I’m serious! You’re pretty well known for your art work!” Hyunjin’s claim made her blush like crazy.

“So you knew who I was already and you never bothered saying anything to me?” Hyunjin chuckled at the girl pouting at her. “I was too shy to approach you.” The boy had his hand on the back of his neck and lowered his head a little in embarrassment. “Also, I heard you have a boyfriend.” Her smile turned into a frown. So if she didn’t have Jeno in her life, Hyunjin would’ve probably approached her? Knowing that kind of made her feel a little bitter about everything. Things probably would’ve been a lot easier if she was arranged into a relationship with Jeno.

She lowered her head a little, “Well, no- wait, yes- well... it’s complicated...”

Despite her response, Hyunjin flashed his smile at her. “Oh I see... well I’m glad I finally talked to you though! You’re very pretty and sweet. I wish I talked to you sooner.”

“Me too! I’m surprised you’re not friends with Jaemin either.”

Hyunjin chuckled at her, “He’s a little intimidating.”

His perspective of her best friend made her burst into laughter. “Jaemin is no where near intimidating. He’s very much of an idiot, but he’s actually a great friend. You should meet him some time!”
