Act 2 Scene 3
And, Scene! We'd ordered and while waiting, the boys wanted to play a couple of games. We had a round of relay word games and a few more others in which the loser would pay for everything. Good thing Mark lost before I could. I basically just survived long enough to not lose. Which is fine by me.
"Are you sure about that, Mark? I could pay for my behalf." I give Mark a little smile to try and sympathise with the poor boy. He shakes his head and grins before saying, "That's fine! Eat heartily, everyone." We all laugh.
After being served the food, we dig in and eat. This is my first proper meal of the day. Not if you count the cereal I had for breakfast and the cotton candy I had at the pier. The rest seemed to share my thoughts. We were silent for a while, the only sound coming from us were our utensils on the plates. Lucas suddenly bursts with emotions. This surprises me. "What?" I worriedly looking at him. But he looks at me with eyes that seem to be in another world of its own. "This is so good!" He exclaims. My eyebrows scrunch together in frustration. I thought this boy was choking or something!
The boys laugh and we continue eating, I hear them praise the food every once in a while.
After scarfing down some food, we call for the transport which was already waiting for us a little over by venice beach. We start walking, with our filled stomachs. "I don't want to leave," Lucas pouts. "You can stay." I retort. He shoots me a funny look and I laugh. "Stay with you." He sheepishly grins. I roll my eyes and shake my head. We reach the van and the boys all go in. I get in last and slide the door shut behind me.
"Wow, I'm tired." Baekhyun sighs in exhaustion from the back seat.
"Me too, man. I had so much fun though." Kai lies his head against the window and closes his eyes. Well, it's a good thing where we're going is home where this sleepy lot can recharge. I could also use a change of clothes and maybe a shower.
The drive home was silent. I even caught myself closing my eyes for a second. Soon enough, the van pulls up at the house and we thank the driver and almost stumble over ourselves from tiredness to get out.
"My body feels like it's floating," Mark moans behind me. He's trudging forward with his arms up like a zombie from Plants vs. Zombies. I could only muster a chuckle. I felt the same. We'd gone on quite a bunch of rides that had us up in the air. That exhausted me.
We all disperse in the house, each going our own way. I tiredly set my bag down on the coffee table in the living room. I take off my shoes too and collapse on the couch. I need a shower. As much as I don't want to get out of this couch and just fall asleep, I need to. I drag myself into aunt June's room to use her bathroom. I'd gotten a spare towel from the bathroom pantry. I strip myself off my clothes and gone into the shower, my eyes closed.
After having cleaned my body, I hop out and wrap the towel around me. Good thing I chose a dress to bring so it wasn't hard to get into. I quickly get dressed and leave aunt June's empty room to go to the living room. I leave my hair in the messy state that it's in and lie down on the soft couch and on the marshmallow-like pillows. This was heaven. Newly showered and in a cold but comfy place.
In just a matter of seconds, I drift off into a peaceful sleep.
My phone chimes softly beside me. For a second, I forget where I am. I start to shift around, I'm definitely not at home. This scent and vibe is just different. I sit up in panic and find myself in the living room, just where I'd fallen asleep. Right. I'd totally forgotten. I reach for my phone and hit the stop button. Luckily, past Ren had set alarms just in case to keep on track.
There's a blanket on me which I'm 99% sure I didn't have before falling asleep. It's warm
and fluffy so I keep it on my as I start walking
