Act 2 Scene 1
And, Scene! After another hour of the boys practicing altering and adjusting a few details in their performance, aunt June gave me the go signal to get the food delivered. It arrives in 15 minutes so the boys put their all in the last few minutes of practicing before lunch.
Since earlier's 'thing', I don't even know what to call it, with Lucas, I couldn't look at him in the eye without wanted to disapparate. Just drop dead. My stomach had started feeling weird since our encounter earlier and with what he said about taking part in my film. I shake myself out of my thoughts. Focus! You're not here to be messed with by some guy with dreamy eyes and perfect facial structure. Dear Lord, make it stop.
I step outside of the studio and wait for the delivery man outside with the money aunt June had given me. I honestly needed to be out of there as soon as possible. I needed to collect myself and just chill out. While waiting for the food, I start mentally constructing a game plan. If Lucas thinks he can play games with me then I'll play along.
The delivery man arrives and I pay for the order and quickly bring it into the studio. The boys are all turn their heads, already expecting the food. I lift both my arms which carry the food and they all cheer, Taeyong and Lucas taking the bags from me. Of course Lucas' hand had to just accidentally brush against mine. Well, maybe it was really an accident since his hands are gigantic but anyway, at this point how can I tell? There's a playful smile on his face as I meet his eyes. My stomach flips.
The food is distributed amongst the staff as well and I get my own serving. I sit with aunt June as the boys continue filming while eating. I haven't been the one dancing but I feel like my heart has been the one beating the fastest.
After lunch it was another two hours of practice before we can go home. Those two hours wet by slowly but I made use of it by going on my phone and watching a few romantic short films.
"Researching now, aren't we?" A voice comes from behind me. It's Mark, looking down at me with a smirk. "Whatever, dude." I brush him off, making him laugh. "I was just half joking about my idea earlier, by the way. I figured who else would you cast to play the parts?" Mark takes a seat next to me. He made a valid point. I've taken this into account while thinking things through. This was the best thing. "You got a point there, Mr. Lee." I tell him. He beams proudly. "So you'll do it? You'll star in your own movie and let me film it?" His eyes are practically twinkling with glee. I give in and say yes.
"But I have to ask... why are you so intrigued by my project? There's got to be more to it than just helping a friend out." I tell him. He shrugs in response, rubbing his eyes. "It sounds fun. While here in America I wanted to do something other than work. Then you mentioned your project and I just knew I had to help out." He explains to me. Fair enough. "Thank you." I say. "Nah, thank you." he lifts his fist and I bump mine into it.
"Ta-dah!" Mark whips out a DSLR camera out of nowhere. It's 5pm and we'd just reached back home. Mark had sat Lucas and I on the sofa while the other members were busy showering and resting for a bit.
"Where did you even get that?" Lucas asks, trying to reach for the camera to examine it but Mark pulls it away and lifts it up as if Lucas can't just stand and take it from him. "I borrowed it. That's not your concern, though! You need to act." Mark instructs us, gesturing for Lucas to move closer to me on the sofa. Before Mark could continue whatever he was intending to do, aunt June comes out from the kitchen and calls for me. I get up and follow her back to the kitchen where she's working.
"How is it so far? Have they been giving you a hard time?" She's standing against the island counter, holding a few papers in hand. I shake my head, "It's been good. I seem to get along with them just fine."
She smiles, "That's good, sweetie. I'll just have to remind you to be professional, okay? I know you're not romantically linked with any of them but their fanbase would probably flip out if they see any of the members close to a beautiful girl like you."
I roll my eyes at the last part and laugh. "I totally get it, auntie. Tell me if you need any help, 'kay?" I give her arm a squeeze as she nods. Meanwhile, Mark calls my name from the living room. I stomp back in. "What?" I scowl at the boy. He smiles when he sees me. "Okay, so are we doing this or what?" He throws his hands up in the air in exasperation.
"Cut!" Mark yells. He's been shooting Lucas and I for over an hour on the sofa. He calls this 'the beginning'. Lucas and I on opposite ends of the couch, slowly getting closer. I must say, if all I had to do for me to get into a relationship was sit on a sofa, then I'd probably have felt the spark long before already.
"Are you sure about this, Mark?" I ask him, a little bit uneasy. "Leave it to me. It turned out great!" He starts scanning through his clips. Just then, Ten and Taeyong come out of their ro
