Act 3 Scene 5
And, Scene!Aunt June was looking at me with a warm smile on her face. For all my life, I'd always trusted aunt June and her views and opinions on things because they came from the heart and were nothing but the truth. It only makes sense for her to show her concern since she knows I've never had any romantic relationship experience before. The only ever crushes I had were when I was in highschool and I was attracted to some boys who would skate and looked cute. But I never pursued anything with them romantically. It's like I wasn't interested enough to go through with anything.
My train of thought is disrupted when noise had erupted from the doorway behind me, giving me a fright. The boys had finished their interviews and were all excited that they'd done so. Automatically, I feel a smile come up to my lips as Lucas enters the room. His eyes scan the room and once it lands on me, we meet eyes and he instantly smiles. It had seemed like the room got brighter in just a second. Like someone opened the windows and let sunlight in.
"Honey, where do you suppose we could have lunch?" aunt June asks me, loud enough for everyone else to hear.
I shrug. From what I notice, the boys are fond of meat and Korean food. Ten only eats pork, doesn't eat fruit. But I kind of wanted them to eat something different for today. "You guys want some burgers? Some In 'N Out?" I suggest. I seem to get a good feedback from them since they all cheered and were making all types of excited noises. They also started chanting 'In 'N Out' which is just a weird thing they do but you eventually get used to it. These boys hype just about anything.
I, along with the production crew, stepped out of the room so the boys could change and get ready to leave. After a quick lunch, they'll be having another interview and after that interview, another one. Their schedule is packed but the boys are trying to keep their heads up even though most of them probably have a killer hangover right now.
Aunt June divided us into groups since apparently more fans have gathered in the lobby and it might turn into chaos if we just walked out all at once. Mark and Ten were my responsibility to guide so we go into the elevator and I made sure to have my cap on because I didn't really want to be included in photos fans take of the boys. Once we're in the sidewalk walking towards the van, somehow Ten and I switched positions and he was technically the one shielding Mark and I instead of me doing it for both of them. We pile into the car in quite a rush and I started laughing, while apologizing to Ten. "No, no, sweetie you're fired." He snaps his fingers with sass, fixing his hair. He couldn't help but laugh as well as he collaps on his seat.
"Wow! That's crazy... so many fans came to see us!" Mark is sat on his seat now, with disbelief written all over his face. Their success and popularity in America hasn't sunken in with him yet. The other groups of boys followed shortly with Kai and Lucas, Taeyong and Baekhyun and aunt June with Taemin. Each boy had a surprised look on their faces upon arrival.
"You guys seem so surprised." I comment on the expressions on their faces as we start to drive away.
"I guess I never really got used to it." Taeyong speaks up from the back seat. Taemin laughs at the younger boys' expressions. From what I know, he's been in the industry longer and Shinee is one of the strongest k-pop groups. But even so, he still looked bewildered about the amount o
