“Why did you want to eat here when we could have just ordered at your house?” asked Jennie. “You must have missed me a lot unnie.. you wanted to see me as soon as you came back..”

Jisoo had asked Jennie to meet her at their favorite restaurant right after her flight landed.

“Of course I missed you a lot.. “ said Jisoo. “It was the first time I got separated from you..”

“Aigoo unnie.. “ Jennie exclaimed while holding Jisoo’s hands. “But are we waiting for someone else? There are two more chairs here..”

Jisoo smiled nervously as she looked around the restaurant.

“The thing is..” Jisoo contemplated. “”I wanted to tell you that..”

Jennie saw Taehyung and RM come inside.

“What are they doing here?” she asked as she sipped on her juice. “They are always following us wherever we go.. can’t he give you a break? I mean why..”

But the two men sat with them at the table.

Jennie looked confused.

“Wait.. did you just sit with us?” asked Jennie while looking at Taehyung sitting beside Jisoo and RM next to her. “Why are you here? Don’t tell me..”

Then she saw Taehyung hold Jisoo’s hands on the table while smiling lovingly at her.

“Jennie.. we have decided to..” Jisoo was stuttering. “I mean, after talking about it..”

Taehyung was laughing at Jisoo who couldn’t say it directly.

“Jisoo and I love each other” said Taehyung without hesitation. “I love her and I asked her to date me..”

Jennie covered in bewilderment.

“You are dating?” asked Jennie this time with a big smile on her face. “You did well unnie.. finally, you aren’t single anymore.. I’m so proud of you.. although I have to say I used to support Jin in the past..”

Taehyung looked at Jisoo who was kicking Jennie’s foot under the table.

Meanwhile, RM was just looking at the couple without saying anything.

Taehyung saw his expression.

“Why aren’t you saying anything, hyung?” asked Taehyung. “Didn’t you tell me to try to talk to Jisoo?”

RM sighed.

“I really want you to be together but..” said RM. “What are you going to do with Mina? I’m sure she won’t stay put..”

“That’s why I’m going to see her later” said Taehyung. “She invited me to come over for dinner with her parents..”

Jisoo couldn’t help but feel nervous.

She had just come back and she was already creating a mess for Taehyung.

And the sad thing was she couldn’t even help him..

Taehyung saw her face being gloomy.

“Don’t make that face” Taehyung said as he kissed her forehead. 

RM and Jennie were quick to stand up and separate the two of them.

“Are you crazy?” RM had him on a headlock. “Why not just kiss her lips in the middle of the street?!”

Jisoo was surprised by Taehyung’s forehead kiss and also by their managers’ reaction.

She could only laugh at the three of them.

“Unnie, refrain him from kissing you in public until he settles his complicated relationship with Mina, okay?” Jennie told Jisoo.

Taehyung stood up right then.

“I’m going now.. hyung stay with them until they go home safely, okay?” he asked RM while looking at Jisoo. “I’ll call you later..”

Taehyung drove to Mina’s house which wasn’t that far from the restaurant.

He took a deep breath before ringing the door bell.

He was determined to end it that night, he didn’t want to resort to the last option Jin had suggested.

Forcing yourself on someone.. he knew how hard it was, he understood it pretty well.. how outrageous it was..

He wanted to avoid it as much as he could.. 

The gate opened and he saw Mina waiting for him inside the garden.

“Oppa.. you came at the right time” said Mina who ran to him warmly. “The food is now ready..”

“I need to talk to you after dinner Mina” he replied. “I beg you..”

Mina knew what it was about. 

“Let’s go inside first..” said Mina faking a smile. “My parents are waiting for you”

The long table was full of different types of food.

It looked like a feast.

Taehyung wondered if there was a special occasion that day but he couldn’t remember any.

As soon as they started eating, Mina’s father asked him a question that made him lose his appetite instantly.

He thought that was what that feast was all about.

“When are you going to get married?” asked Mina’s father. “We need to start choosing a good date..”

“Dad.. it’s too soon to do that..” said Mina. “We can wait until next year..”

Mina’s mother smiled warmly at Taehyung.

She was really fond of him.

Taehyung couldn’t look at her directly. He knew she had treated him as a real son.

“What do you mean it’s too soon?” asked Mina’s father. “I will be busy next year for the launching of my new business in Japan..”

Taehyung had to stop it.

He had been a puppet to Mina for almost a year already, it was only right to end it.

“I came here tonight to tell you something different” said Taehyung. “There was no engagement that happened and..”

Mina held his hands.

But Taehyung didn’t stop.

“Mina and I have broken up eight months ago” he continued. “We lied to everyone.. I’m sorry to be telling you this only now”

Mina’s father stood up angrily.

“What do you think you’re doing?” asked her father. “Why would you lie with something as important as this? How dare the two of you..”

Mina’s father left the table and her mother soon followed.

Only the two of them were left at the table.
