Two hours before Taehyung picked Jisoo up at the hospital, he was talking with Mina at her parents’ anniversary.

He greeted her parents and everyone at the party.

He talked with almost all of them just like what Mina wanted him to do.

Then he asked her to talk with him in private.

“What do you want to talk about?” asked Mina. “About us? Or about Jisoo?”

Taehyung took a deep breath.

He thought he was about to end it for real this time.

He didn’t know Mina had prepared a great plan already that would tie him up to her more.

“Let’s announce our breakup next week” said Taehyung in a clear voice. “Let’s stop this..”

Mina scoffed at what he said.

“Sure” said Mina. “We can even make the announcement tomorrow morning”

Taehyung was perplexed at her unxpected agreement to him.

It seemed too easy. He felt something was weird..

Mina took her phone from her purse and showed something to him.

“This was published an hour ago when you came here” said Mina. “My fans are pretty hardcore, you know that.. I’m sure they will think Jisoo got between us and made us break-up”

Taehyung took the phone from her and read the whole article and its comments and posts related.

“The rumors must be true that she can’t be happy with just one man”

“Mina left just for a month and came back to see her boyfriend got stolen”

Everyone was bashing Jisoo and even threatening her that they would hurt her.

Taehyung looked at Mina who was smiling at him while he looked nervous.

“Did you plan this while you were abroad?” asked Taehyung. “You had someone following us, didn’t you?”

“I told you I wouldn’t let you just break up with me, didn’t I?” said Mina. “I don’t understand why you like that woman.. she is just a rookie actress, you won’t benefit from her at all”

Taehyung grabbed her arms.

“I don’t need to gain anything from her.. love is not about gaining something” said Taehyung. “It’s all about losing.. you wouldn’t understand that because you have never lost in your life”

“That’s right” said Mina. “I haven’t lost anything or anyone in my life and I’m not willing to lose to anyone..”

Taehyung let go of her arms pushing her a little.

“I’m leaving” said Taehyung. “I’ll go to Jisoo now and tell everyone tomorrow morning that you and I had broken up five months ago.”

“You’re already behind” said Mina. “My fans must be looking for her now, they must be filled with hatred against her.. I have already posted on my fansite that I was heartbroken because of her”

Taehyung glared at her and unlocked the door.

“If you stay here with me now, I will annouce our break-up tomorrow.. although I don’t know what other articles might be there as well” Mina chuckled as she continued speaking. “Probably.. A rookie actress getting assaulted for having an affair.. what do you think?”

Taehyung opened the door.

“If you leave now, I will announce our engagement” said Mina in a serious voice. “And tell everyone that it was a big misunderstanding.. You said it yourself that love was all about losing.. so choose what you want to lose..”

It was a trap for Taehyung.

He had been cornered by Mina.

There was no choice for him to make ‘cause Mina had already chosen one for him.

Staying at the party meant gaining his freedom but at the same time damaging Jisoo’s career while leaving at that moment was tying himself up to Mina and losing Jisoo.

Mina was watching him decide what to choose but the moment Taehyung turned his back against her and unlocked the door, he had already chosen to lose.

“What are you doing here at my house at this hour?” said RM who was surprised to see Taehyung. 

“Hyung, can I sleep here tonight?” asked Taehyung who went straight to his couch. “Just lend me a pillow and a blanket”

RM thought he was concerned about the articles online.

He took some beers from the fridge and put them on the table.

“I’m allowing you to drink as much as you want tonight” said RM. “Don’t mind those articles, think about it as promoting your drama..”

But Taehyung was not upset about it. 

He was upset of what he had done to Jisoo that night and the fact the he couldn’t be responsible was more upsetting.

He left his house right after that.

Jisoo might not be able to sleep and rest if he were to spend the night under the same roof.

How would he face her now? He made her cry by forcing himself upon her.

He couldn’t be more sorry..

“How was the party? asked RM. “Did Mina agree?”

But Taehyung was remaining quiet.

“It didn’t go well I guess” said RM.

“Hyung, could you pick up Jisoo tomorrow morning at my house?” asked Taehyung. “Then drop her off at her house”

“Wait.. what?” asked RM. “She’s in your house?”

Taehyung nodded.

“Then why are you here?” asked RM. “I mean, is that why you’re here?”

“I did something bad again” said Taehyung. “I acted like a bastard”

RM was worried Taehyung might have harmed her. He was the violent type whenever he got angry.

“Taehyung, even if you get mad at her, don’t use violence on her” RM warned her. “Don’t even touch her, just avoid her..”

He was thinking that Jisoo might be traumatized again because of Taehyung.

In fact, Jisoo didn’t sleep at all the whole night.
