Coming back to rehearsal after his supposed "lunch" with Donghae, Hyukjae wasn't able to teach as well as he did in the morning. His lower area felt sore and not to mention the fact that he didn't actually get to eat anything so he was still hungry. 

"YAH! Didn't I tell you that you have to bend your knees before the turn!? If you miss half the beat you throw the whole routine off!" Hyukjae scolded to the unsuspecting trainee. After hearing his voice echo in the room, Hyukjae took a minute to pause and closed his eyes while controlling his breathing. 

A hungry Hyukjae is an impatient Hyukjae and whenever an impatient Hyukjae is teaching, one must be perfect in every way or they would feel his wrath and see how strict and unbearable he can be as a teacher. Sunrise trainees were slowly figuring that out as they all looked at each other a little alarmed and self-conscious about how to stop themselves from making their next mistake. 

"Okay," Hyukjae said turning around with a heavy sigh. "Let's just end it here today. A little homework for today: make sure you guys practice breathing and counting while dancing. The tempo of the music needs to match with the flow of your body. Don't just do the moves, you have to feel the it. Understand?"

"Yes, Seonsaengnim!"

Hyukjae nodded his head in approval before waving them off to leave. Sighing to himself, Hyukjae waited for the last student to leave before leaning against the mirror and sliding down on the floor. He placed a hand over his stomach and grumbled when he felt it rumble out of hunger. 

"Stupid bastard." Hyukjae cursed out loud. Then, upon that self reflection, blushed and felt himself heat up as he shook his head in disappointment and a little bit in shame. "Aish - why did I let him do that? I must be seriously out of my mind." Hyukjae muttered and lightly hit his head. "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

"Uhhh - am I interrupting something?"

Hyukjae's eyes widened and immediately looked up only to see Siwon peering his head in from the door, eyes looking at him with slight concern. He immediately got up on his feet and found himself fixing his hair and clothing. Why? Hyukjae has no idea either. 

"Oh, um, h-hey, Siwon-ah...I-I mean, Siwon-ssi." Hyukjae bowed his head in embarrassment. He seems to be doing a lot of those these days. 

Siwon smiled obviously finding Hyukjae's act adorable. "Oh, please. Hyukjae. Don't be so formal with me."

Hyukjae slightly glanced at him then looked away again. He wasn't sure what Siwon could possibly want with him right now. Afterall, they don't usually meet the sponsors until after they've finished with production. He's suddenly realizing, however, that perhaps he just wasn't ready to face him altogether. 

"I-I'm sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable, Hyukjae." Hearing the apology from the latter had Hyukjae looking up at him. "Maybe I should leave."

"No!" Hyukjae half-screamed then quickly adjusted himself. "I-I I mean, it's okay...y-you don't have to leave."

Smiling with relief, Siwon took the initiative and closed the distance a little between the two of them. "How are you doing?"

"Oh, I'm fine." Hyukjae answered putting on a small smile as he slowly felt at ease around Siwon's presence. "What about you?"

"Same."

"Ah...that's good." Hyukjae nodded and slowly the awkwardness between them returned. Not entirely sure about the reason why Siwon was visiting him, Hyukjae took it upon himself to guess. "Are you here to check on the trainees?"

"What?"

"The trainees...you're their main sponsor, right?" Hyukjae explained trying to keep things professional between them. 

"Oh! Yes," Siwon confirmed although he still sounded a little unsure himself. "Yes, I suppose I am." Siwon laughed sheepishly. "But that's not the reason why I'm here. I have full trust in you regarding that department, Hyukjae. I know there's nothing for me to worry about."

Hyukjae beamed at Siwon's compliment even though he's heard it many times before. "Thanks. That means a lot." 

"Uhm...so," Siwon tried to go off into tangent but Hyukjae could tell something's holding him back. It sort-of reminded him of how Siwon tried to ask him out back in college. Hyukjae stilled for a second and shook that thought away from his head. Professional. Keep things professional!

"I-I heard you got engaged..." Siwon said cautiously. "I'm sorry I never congratulated you before."

Hyukjae chuckled finally understanding why Siwon was acting uncomfortable. It's not everyday someone would hire their Ex and then go on to congratulate them for getting married to someone else. "Oh, please. Don't apologize. It...uh...it didn't work out." Hyukjae sheepishly informed. 

"Oh, really?" 

Hyukjae nodded his head but at the back of his mind he couldn't help but feel that that was Siwon's acting tone he just used on him. Mentally hitting himself once more for overthinking Siwon's actions towards him, Hyukjae decided to divert the topic away from him. "So, what have you been up to? I mean other than expanding your art interests I mean," Hyukjae chuckled at his own lame joke. 

Siwon laughed along with him and he couldn't help but be amazed at how much more mature Siwon seemed to look right now. 

"Oh, just the family business now. I-I wouldn't say this was a completely random investment though."

"Oh yeah? Something caught your eye?"

"Well...someone did." Hyukjae's laughter came to a halt when he saw Siwon looking at him seriously. Seeing those eyes staring at him once again, Hyukjae felt uneasy and gulped unconsciously. "I-I wasn't stalking you or anything!" Siwon quickly explained. "I just...I happened to come across your company website and then I saw your photo so I thought...it-it would give me a reason to see you."

To say Hyukjae was stunned to hear that would be a minor understatement. "W-What?"

"Uhh...yeah...are-are you mad?"

"Mad?" Hyukjae laughed hearing the question. "Why would I be mad?"

Siwon tried to laugh along with him but his nervousness was still very apparent. "A friend of mine had said it might come across...well, creepy."

"Well, I suppose so, but I'm also flattered." Hyukjae reassured and smiled when he saw Siwon relieve a sigh of relief. "Although, you could have also just emailed me and said you wanted to catch up instead of buying a whole production crew for me to work with."

Hearing Hyukjae's words, both men couldn't help but laugh at how incredilous it all sounded. They were too absorbed in their conversation that they failed to hear another set of footsteps enter the room. Not until that person had made his presence very known. 

"What the hell is going here!?"

Hyukjae and Siwon were both startled as they both turned to see a very angry Donghae glaring daggers at Siwon. 

"Uh, H-Hi, Donghae," Siwon greeted trying to appear friendly and brush off Donghae's dirty look directed at him. 

"What the -"

"Hae!" Hyukjae cut him off and immediately ran to cover his mouth. Donghae merely brushed him off, well tried to before the two of them had engaged in one of their weird wrestling tacticts trying to push each other away
