"Isn't climbing a tree with a messed up arm not a smart idea?" Kai asked as he walked into her backyard. Hyemi gave him a gummy smile, "Perhaps~" Kai rolled his eyes as he climbed up and sat beside her. Hyemi's eyebrows furrowed, "Where are Baek and Somi?" She asked just noticing how they weren't with him. 
"I thought it would be better if I just came to see you..." Hyemi pouted before she realized what he meant. "Kai, I'm fine, it's just a broken arm." She tried to act like she didn't know what he was truly worried about. "Emi-" she put her hand up, "Kai, I'm fine, I'm fine." She forced a smile. "-You're not fine, I could tell when you got back to the camp that you weren't fine. I can tell by the look on your face and the mug in your hang that you're not fine now." He put his arm around her shoulder, Hyemi rested her head on his shoulder. For a minute, she didn't say anything, "It...felt just like that night, when I trued to stand I couldn't--only for a second though--I was able to stand up, but my head was spinning, and I couldn't move my arm well. I felt...trapped." She let out a fake laugh, "I wasn't scared but it just took me back to then, I guess." Kai patted her head, "Hyemi, you don't have to act like you aren't sad. I'm right here for you to cry on, if that's what you need." Hyemi lifted her head and met his eyes with a small smile. "I know you are." Kai returned the smile. "Good."

Kai hung out till five, they watched some TV in the tree house and Kai told her about the stuff she missed at camp. After he left, Hyemi decided to take her guitar onto the tree house roof and practice finger picking style. 
It was getting farther into autumn, which meant it felt like the sun was setting earlier and earlier.
