Sehun’s laughing as he watches his son didn’t stop talking about what he did at the kindergarten while he waits for Mina to finish his discharging process since Sarang and his mother were called to the police station. Lifting his son up to sit on his lap, Sehun couldn’t stop smiling as he keeps on paying attention towards his son who’s still cutely talking until Mina barges in, her eyes teary as she strides closer towards Sehun who’s sitting on the couch of his hospital room.

“Oppa..”

Sehun hums, frowning as he looks up at his sister who’s suddenly crying,

“Unnie.. Sarang unnie..”

“What’s with Sarang?”

“She’s in the emergency room.”

Sehun immediately stands up, holding Hajun tightly in his arms as he tries to stay calm,

“I’ll bring Hajun with me down there, can you help take my stuffs and put it inside my car?”

Mina nods, wiping her tears and just right then, Sehun rushes out of his room, his heart thumping so loud until he reaches the ground floor where he could see his mother crying, with blood around her blouse. Rushing towards the older woman, Sehun put Hajun down on the seat beside his mother and crouches in front of her,

“Mom.”

“Sehun..”

Mrs. Oh cries get louder as Sehun then pulls her into his arms, his hand caressing her back and he could see his son doing the same, his little hand caressing his grandmother’s back,

“I’m sorry.. It’s all because of me..”

Sehun pulls out of the hug and frowns, looking down at his mother who’s trying to talk in between her cries,

“Sarang… Yeji stabbed her.. We went to meet her to confront her about you being poisoned, and then she went crazy and… she.. I’m sorry, son.. I’m sorry..”

Sehun purses his lips as he falls on the floor, blinking his eyes multiple times to not let his tears fall. Calming himself down, he sniffs before he looks up at his mother,

“Where’s Yeji?”

Clenching his fists tightly, he swears if he ever met Yeji, that girl won’t be able to see the light of the day again. Mrs. Oh shakes her head,

“Yeji’s… dead.. She killed herself after she tried to kill Sarang.”

Sehun closes his eyes, pinching his nose bridge before he stands up with his hand on his hips, looking down at his mother with so much rage in his eyes,

“Why didn’t they save her? Why did they let her die after what she did to Sarang? Mom, why did you let her die just like that when my woman is in pain, fighting for her life?!”

Sehun shouts, making Mrs. Oh cries get louder than it already is. Hajun scoots closer towards his grandmother, his little fingers gripping onto Mrs. Oh’s blouse as he hides his face with it upon hearing his father’s loud voice. Sehun wipes his face in frustration before he crouches down I front of Hajun who’s cowering in fear, knowing that he shouldn’t raises his voice in front of his son who knows nothing about what happened to his mother. Sehun gently takes Hajun’s hand in his and just when he’s about to speak, Mr. Yoon and Jihoon’s voices make him turns around and stands up, watching the two men running towards him,

“What happened with Sarang?”

Mr. Yoon asked, Sehun could see his hands trembling as he catches his breathe,

“She got stabbed.. I’m sorry, uncle, it’s all my—“

Mrs. Oh rushes towards Mr. Yoon, desperately gripping his hand as she wails, begging for his forgiveness

“No, it’s my fault, Jinsang. I should’ve listened to Sarang and get the police to come with us but I was too confident.. I’m sorry, Jinsang, I’m truly sorry..”

Mr. Yoon smiles, gently patting Mrs. Oh’s shoulder as he nods, his eyes teary,

“It’s fine. It’s no one’s fault. Things are bound to happen. It’s fine.”

Sehun couldn’t help but tears start falling down his cheeks as he watches how easily Sarang’s dad handles his mother, despite knowing that Sarang’s fighting for her life because of his mother, but he didn’t even get mad or shout at her, just exactly how Sarang is. His heart breaks so much watching Sarang and her family being so kind, so forgiving that he feels he doesn’t deserve her, he doesn’t deserve someone as wonderful as Yoon Sarang. Feeling a pat on his shoulder, Sehun turns to look at Jihoon who’s smiling faintly at him before he takes Hajun into his arms and let the little guy sit on his lap as they wait for the doctor to come out.

Hajun’s already asleep on Jihoon’s lap the moment a few paramedics come out of the emergency room, making everyone stands up and rushes towards them.

“She’s out of the critical state and we’ve already wrapped up her wounds. She’s fine but she’ll be sleeping probably until tomorrow so don’t panic if she doesn’t wake up by tonight.”

Everyone releases a relieve sighs upon hearing the doctor’s words. The doctor then smiles,

“You guys don’t have to worry too much. The wounds weren’t too deep so it doesn’t affect any of her other organs, she’s safe even though she loses quiet a handful amount of bloods. Do let us know when she’s awake so that we can further examine her.”

Everyone then nod as they bow towards the doctors, Mr. Yoon’s then about to settle up Sarang’s registration but Sehun stops him,

“I’ll take care of it, Uncle.”

Mr. Yoon nods and smile, patting Sehun’s shoulder as the guy rushes out of the hallway and moves towards the registration desk. Once settled with the registration, he went back to the hallway and asks Mina to bring their mother back home but the older woman insisted on settling Yeji’s funeral process that he doesn’t want to even care so he just hums and take the sleeping Hajun into his arms before he leads Mr. Yoon and Jihoon towards the VIP room that he has personally asked for Sarang. Mrs. Oh turns to look at Mina who’s frowning, her hand holding hers tightly,

“I want to properly send her off. Please, Mina.”

Mina sighs, nodding before she brings her mom to finish up with Yeji’s funeral process.

“Noona..”

Jihoon whispers, his hand tightly gripping Sarang’s cold one as he stares at her pale face. Mr. Yoon who’s caressing Sarang’s hair turns to look at Sehun who’s draping a blanket on Hajun’s body as the little guy’s fast asleep on the couch inside the room.

“Sehun.”

Sehun hums, turning to look at Mr. Yoon as he caresses his son’s hair,

“You should go home with Hajun. You just got discharged today. Go home and get some rest, we’ll take care of Sarang.”

Sehun smiles, shaking his head as he walks towards Mr. Yoon and Jihoon who’s sitting beside Sarang’s bed,

“It’s okay, uncle. I’ll take care of Sarang. You and Jihoon should go home first, get changed and come again tomorrow morning.”

Sehun said, making Jihoon and Mr. Yoon to look down on their office attires that’s already crumpled with soft laughters before Mr. Yoon nods,

“We’ll come early in the morning tomorrow.”

Sehun nods, watching Mr. Yoon standing up and leans down to peck a kiss on Sarang’s forehead as he whispers,

“Dad will come again tomorrow morning.”

Jihoon’s about to take the still sleeping Hajun to bring him home with them but Sehun stops him,

“Sarang might want to see Hajun first once she wakes up.”

Mr. Yoon and Jihoon nods, patting Sehun’s shoulder as the two mutters their thank you and wlaks out of the VIP room, leaving Sehun finally taking the seat beside Sarang’s bed, taking her small hand in his as he stares at her pale face. Kissing his knuckles, he whispers,

“I love you, Love. I love you so much.”
