It took Byul a day to leave the hospital, a few hours to get over the hugs and pats on the back her housemates gave her and an eternity to get over Yongsun’s bashful face after she hugged her goodbye the previous night. Byul laid on her bed, rubbing the moon necklace that was her last present from her parents.
“I wish you were here to help me,” Byul sighed and dropped the necklace back onto her chest. “Maybe you could guide me to know who my soulmate is, and why do I always get butterflies seeing Yongsun.”
Byul flipped over, minding the wound and pulled out her laptop. She logged into her Skype account and started a call. Two faces popped onto the screen.
“Unnie!” The two girls squealed in delight. Byul smiled indulgently.
“Hello, Seulgi. Hi Yesol.”
“Unnie, we heard about your accident, how are you?” Seulgi asked, her tone full of concern. Yesol nodded in agreement. Byul cracked a smile.
“I’m doing fine, thank you for asking. Is Aunt Euji treating you well?”
“She’s trying to fatten us up,” Yesol chirped. Seulgi ruffled the youngest’s head. “She sent us to really good international schools!”
“She wants us to be fluent in english, so that we have better chances of securing a good job here in the States,” Seulgi said.
