Suppressed Emotions
1 Minute and 10 Seconds"What?"
"I said Ye-"
"STOP!" I raise my hand to motion her to stop talking. I clenched my jaw. I felt something hit me hard on the head and to my chest. I'm feeling a bit dizzy. "I heard you the first time." I said through my gritting teeth.
I swish my hand and crushed the flower with my magic and made it unrecognizable. "Hey! That was rude!"
I pace towards her slowly. "Why do you have flowers from her?"
"She gave it to me. As an apology for the tournament." She answered, not making eye contact with me.
"And you accepted it?" I questioned her disbelievingly.
"I don't know. She looked sincere." She said as she picked up the tulip remains, flicking her hand to revive it.
The sight made my blood boil. Or what she said. I'm not sure. I just know that I see red. I grabbed her wrist and pulling her to stand in front of me, causing the tulip remains to fall on the floor once again. I stared down at her.
"Ow! Ow! Minju, you're hurting me!" She tried to wriggle her hand free from my grasps. She still not looking into my eyes. This did not help in preventing me from tipping over the edge.
I grabbed her other wrist and shook her body hard as if calling her to look at me. I was successful in doing so, as she raised her head to look me in the eye. "Did you forget what she has done to you? Or do you need a little reminder? How she rubbed it to you just how much stronger she is? How she made you the center of humiliation? How she showed the whole school what a pathetic loser you are? How she almost drowned you to DEATH?" I was slowly charging towards her, poking her chest hard with every word of my last sentence.
She was now crying as she swats my hand from her chest and rubbing the spot. "Stop being mean, Minju." She said with a small voice. Almost like a child asking her bully to stop.
"You are not going to forgive that person AND you are not going to talk to her ever! Do you understand!?!?" I demanded her, unaffected by her tears.
"Why are so hard on her? She admitted that she's wrong." She retorted, voice like a child and cracking.
"Why are so hard on Chaewon?!?! Huh??!? What Choi Yena did to you was a thousand times worse than what Kim Chaewon did to me! If you can't handle what Chaewon did to me, imagine me seeing what Yena did to you!!" I inhaled deeply. "You were dying before my eyes, Yuri!" I said with heavy breathing. I took one deep breath to calm myself a little. "I don't care what she said or what she looked like. You are not forgiving her and THAT'S FINAL!! I'm not going to lose you again like that. If I ever see her around you, I'll kill her." I said finally before storming to my room.
After I close the door, I rest my head on it. I can hear her sob loudly. I feel my chest constrict. It's too painful. All I want to do was to open the door, hug her tight and never let go but my pride and anger are stopping me.
Once I heard Nako's voice comforting her, I sat and lean my back on the door, listening to them as tears ran down my cheeks.
---
To my delight, Chaewon attended her class the next day. I try to be less aggressive in approaching her. I took a seat behind her usual.
"Hey." She didn't turn her back so I tapped back lightly. "Hey, Chaewon-ssi."
She audibly sighs before turning to me. "What, Kim Minju-ssi?"
