Sometimes, silence was better. Like now.

Jisoo thought as she enjoyed the perfect solitude that surrounded her and him. She swung, and surrendered herself to that peace. But she couldn’t say the same for her unusual consociate. He would probably be sulking or fidgeting, cursing this silence. But she couldn’t care less.

Suddenly, she felt him pushing her swing from behind. She tried not to smile.

“You hate it”

“Its too quiet for my liking”

Silence.

It was suddenly interrupted by the chapel’s bells. And V cursed under his breath. Jisoo noticed it.

“Church bells or silence?” Jisoo laugh was the only interruption he did not mind at all.

“Church bells are worst” V replied with disdain.

“I thought you hated silence more”

Pause

“Sometimes, silence is better”

“Why?”

“Because beyond it, lies your worst fear”

Jisoo looked at V. But for the first time he didn’t smirk, didn’t joke, didn’t lie.

He bought his face closer to her…

and continued

“Truth”

Lisa and Jennie waved back to the child as they left the ward.

“Arch” Rose got nothing but silence in reply.

“Jisoo Unnie” Jennie’s voice somehow couldn’t find its way out of . Silence was such a better option sometimes that even words refused to come out.

Jisoo was just staring in the oblivion.

“Unnie” Lisa’s gentle touch let her out of her trance.

“Let’s go”

Silence.

“I would like to stay here, for some time more” Jisoo looked back- smiling at her comrades.

And others left

In silence

Because they knew, sometimes, silence is the best option.

V stood from his place and paced towards the doors.

RM looked up from his book. He turned his gaze towards V and then Jin, who looked as solemn as the situation was.

Even Hell fell into silence that day.

“Where you going?”

Footsteps ceased.

Silence.

“For a walk”

For V, his answer was sufficient to get him out without any guilt.And as he left, silence befell again.

Silence didn’t always mean that there were no words left to speak. It only meant that there were no more lies to cover up the reality- the ultimate harsh truth.

That’s why they both just sat there, silently, as they lost themselves in each other’s eyes.

limit; that reaches closer and closer with time.

V lost his control. He couldn’t deal with anybody…. ..anybody telling him what to do. He was the Master of Hell. He was proud of it…………….

The truth found its way into the light.

“Unnie! He is the devil’s heir!” Rose said, as ached with her own words.

“V, she is an angel- THE ARCHANGEL!!!!” Jin voice got hoarse with anger.

The truth had always been bitter…….

But the truth behind those silences…….

Was harsher than ever.

Suddenly, silence engulfed them as V ceased his furious trail.
