Married to the Mob - Chapter 12
Married to the MobSungyeol wanted to wipe that smug smile off of L's face but he restrained himself, not wanting to alarm the other customers. "Leave while you still can," Sungyeol warned in a surprisingly calm voice. "I'm asking nicely."
L seemed amused. "Do you always ask your customers to leave?"
"If you've come here to cause trouble-"
"I came here to see you," said L with a huge grin upon his face. "Whether there is trouble or not, it's up to you."
Sungyeol looked at L for a moment before glancing around the club. That was when he noticed that amongst the customers, there were some men who did not look like they were here for good time. They were scattered around the club but their attention were focused on L as if awaiting his orders. It would be bad for business if they started a scene here.
Sungyeol let out a resigned sigh. "What do you want?"
"I've told you, I came to see you," said L as he held out the glass of scotch towards Sungyeol.
Sungyeol glanced at the glass before looking at L. He contemplated a moment before he took the glass and gulped it down. He then held the glass out in front of him and tipped the glass upside down. Not a single drop remained. He then placed the glass back on the table.
L smirked in response then pushed the bottle of scotch towards Sungyeol.
Sungyeol frowned when he understood L's intention.
"Finish the bottle and I'll leave."
When nightfall came, Woohyun stood and looked at the small sofa which was to be his bed. It was much smaller compared to the luxurious one in his apartment. He let out a dejected sigh. Ah, the things I have to do.
"Are you sure about this?" a voice asked.
Woohyun jolted back to reality and turned around to see Sunggyu standing there with a doona and pillow in his arms.
"The sofa isn't that comfortable," said Sunggyu. "Why don't you-"
"Try somewhere else?" Sungjong interjected as he walked passed.
Woohyun narrowed his eyes at Sungjong before turning back to smile at Sunggyu. "It's okay," said Woohyun. "My bed wasn't that comfortable anyway."
Sungyeol placed the empty bottle of scotch on the table and wiped the side of his mouth with the back of his hand. L clapped with a pleased smile upon his face.
"You can leave now," said Sungyeol.
A moment later, L emerged from the club with his men following. The smile still on his face until his phone buzzed in his pocket. He glanced at the name and answered the call.
"Yes, boss."
During the night, Woohyun tossed and the sofa, unable to sleep. He finally realised that Sunggyu really wasn't lying when he said that the sofa was uncomfortable. However, he wasn't about to give up now. He closed his eyes and tried to sleep.
A short time later, Sunggyu was awoken by a thud sound from the living room. When he came out, he saw Woohyun lying on the floor beside. He ws surprised that Woohyun was still asleep, despite having fallen off the sofa. Sunggyu shook his head and sighed before picking up the sleeping figure in his arms.
Blood. There was blood everywhere. He was saved. Who was this person that had saved him? He had to know. With trembling fingers, he slowly reached out a hand towards the body beneath him. His hand froze inches from the bloodied face. He recognised that face.
Sunggyu.
