7 Days
Come Back to YouSojung opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was a gypsum that covered Eunbi’s left leg on her right side. She had a small wet towel on her head, a bucket of cold water and a bowl of soup on the table that was put on her left side. Her body was fully cover by a blanket. She looked at her right side once again and found Eunbi was sitting while reading a book on the bed, right beside her.
“Oh, you’re awake?” asked the smaller girl. She looked at Sojung and put down her book.
“Yes. Did I faint?” Sojung asked while removing the towel on her forehead and tried to sit down.
“Yeah, I guess you were asleep for 3 hours or so.” Eunbi said while focusing back on her book.
“I’m sorry. Did you put me on the bed?”
“You should stop saying sorry, it’s okay.” she paused. “I tried to wake you up a few time cause I know I can’t lift you up. it didn’t work, but thank god my mom came home after it. She was the one who did it.”
Sojung was looking around while Eunbi continued reading. Not sure what she was doing but she thought she just needs to gain more consciousness. She was still in 2006. She was disappointed. She slightly hoped that when she opened her eyes earlier, she’ll be in her room and it was all just a dream. That would be far a lot easier for her. And while looking around and thinking, she realized she was not in her clothes anymore. She looked through the neck hole to see her bra and it wasn’t hers too. She quickly got back to her position and checked it once again to make sure. With her hand on her upper chest near tightly grabbed the shirt as if she wanted to cover what’s inside the shirt, she asked,
“mmm… did your mother also undress me?”
“Yup.”
Sojung was relieved for a moment. It will be very awkward for her if Eunbi did it.
“But I helped her too.” Added Eunbi.
“What?!” said Sojung. She shouted a little while backing away from the latter girl. “So, you saw…” Sowon didn’t finish her sentence but Eunbi knew what she meant.
“You ?” she asked. “Yeah. But why so shy? I thought you were the adult one here.” Said Eunbi keeping her cool expression. She actually lied. Eunbi was helping her mother covered her body so that no one saw her . But she thought it was fun to tease the older girl. “Besides, it’s your fault. Why did you have to kneel under the rain like that?”
“That’s…”
“Anyway.” Said Eunbi. She put down her book and got closer to Sojung. She leaned her body towards Sojung. Her face was only 5cm away from the older girl’s face. She put her hand on Sojung’s head and checked her temperature. It was normal. ‘Thank God.’ She thought.
Sojung was stunned for a moment before Eunbi got back to her position and continued reading the book. Her face was as red as roses in the front garden. While reading the book, Eunbi told Sojung to eat the soup that was prepared for her on the table Mrs. Jung put beside the bed. Sojung looked at it. She took it and opened the cover to eat it. It was a little bit colder since it must have been there quite long, but still quite warm. She ate it without leaving the bed. She leaned beside Eunbi and would look at what the girl’s read sometimes. She couldn’t
