Byul drove her to a private resort and booked the whole place just for them.

Wheein's not used to such gestures, let alone such luxury. Byul had mentioned working on a family business, but Wheein didn't expect Byul to be as rich as she actually appeared to be. Somehow she feels intimidated, like Byul's world is so much different than hers.

But the apparent smile on Byul's face somehow makes her feel at home.

"Are you okay?" Byul asks, worried that Wheein didn't like her surprise. "You haven't said a word since we arrived."

Wheein's a little overwhelmed. There was a table set up for them beside a man-made river, in a candle-lit garden full of plants and flowers. She didn't know her heart could feel this full. "It's just that...no one has ever done this for me before." Wheein declares this as a form of gratitude. "I don't know what to say."

Byul smiles, apparently happy that Wheein is satisfied with her surprise. She wanted to tell her to get used to it because she was planning to pamper her every single day, but she didn't want to get ahead of herself. "This is me thanking you for giving me another chance."

Wheein smiles, she wanted to thank Byul for having the courage to give them a chance. She grows quiet again, Byul turns to find Wheein taking in her surroundings with a pensive expression. "Thank you."

Byul reaches across the table, taking Wheein's hand gently in hers, and Wheein squeezes her hand, absently running her thumb over Byul's knuckles. "I still can't believe you did all this."

Their first date might not be Wheein's ideal date, but Byul promised herself she would make up for it. "Well, it hardly felt like work, just imagining what your smile will be like, all day."

"You arranged this all by yourself?" Wheein asked because of the way Byul sounded.

Byul just smiles, "Looking at your smile right now makes it even more worth it." she remarks.

"The view is stunning..." Wheein states, but she proceeded to pout.

"Why? What's wrong?" Byul immediately asked. She just wanted this night to be perfect. She doesn't want to see a trace of disappointment on Wheein's face.

"How am I supposed to fully appreciate these, if I can barely take my eyes off of you?" Wheein says cheekily, causing Byul to smile.

Byul sighs in relief, but she was not sure if she should feel relieved when her heart seemed like it was just hostaged by Wheein's cheesy line, matching her smile.

"You are such a dork." Byul laughs as she playfully rolls her eyes.

When Byul looks back at Wheein, the woman was smiling by herself. "Wheein." Byul says to get her attention.

Wheein looks up at her, a smile still plastered on her face. When she saw the questioning look on Byul she explains. "I just recalled the times I tried to flirt with you." Wheein says bashfully. "You have this habit of trying to hide your smile and rolling your eyes." Wheein notes. "It's just cute."

She didn't think they'd come to this. She thought Byul would be the one who got away for her, because of how many times Byul turned her down; always rejecting the idea of them together.

But now, she's on a date with Byulyi, and Byul's attention is all on her, and not once did she mention Yongsun's name yet.

Their dinner continued; full of small talk, sweet glances, and grateful smiles.

"If only we could stay like this forever." Wheein mumbles, wrapped around Byul's arms as they sat by the beach, watching the waves crash on the sand under the night sky.

Their dinner date has been perfect, but the night seemed to be too short for Wheein's liking. She's not sure there'd be enough time in the world for her to be contented when she's with Byul.

"Well..." Byul trailed off. A little shy about what she's going to suggest. "We could book a room for the night." she notes, hoping that Wheein isn't against the idea.

The shorter girl looked at Byul with bewildered eyes, a little nervous at the implications of it all.

When Wheein caught Byul's eye, she quickly looks away, biting her bottom lip. "I can't stop the time for you, but we could stay like this a little longer -a night longer."

Wheein stands up, holding Byul's hands to pull her up to her feet.

"I'd love that." Wheein utters. Byul looks into her eyes to see any hesitation, she didn't want to pressure Wheein into anything she doesn't want to do.

"Okay, then." Byul says, placing a brief kiss on Wheein's lips.

Byul must've noticed the surprised expression on Wheein's face. "I'm sorry. I just can't help it."

"I don't mind." Wheein replies, returning Byul's kiss with another peck on her lips, causing Byul to smile goofily.

And after a few perfect moments, they decided to head back to the room Byul just booked.

Sharing a bed with Byul shouldn't be a big deal to Wheein, they're just going to sleep. She shouldn't be this worried. She sleeps with Hyejin all the time, and it's not a big deal for her.

But who was she kidding?

Everything about Byul is a big deal. Wheein has feelings for her, so comparing her situation now with all the times she slept with Hyejin doesn't count.

"So, which side are you on?" Byul asked, if it were up to her she'd want to cuddle in bed with Wheein right in the middle of the bed, but assuming that Wheein would be uncomfortable with that she asked which side

Chapter 23: Quite an emotional ending. The other week I was reading about how, infrequently, organ transplant recipients seem to take on traits of the donor, read through this with that idea in mind.

Chapter 23: When I found your story, I read it all in one night, till ch. 22, and I can hear the crash sound of my heart when its ended with, "...maybe this won't work". I thought really that was the finale like, "we will not getting all in our life", I hold on it.

But then, after awhile, I check my subscription page, and your story was on top. I remembered the title tho. And like a flashback, I remember all the plot. And I checked, just to make sure its really another chapter, the closure, not only an update from author, and, and I feel soo overwhelming now. I didn't know I am too invest with this story.

I'm not a writer I really don't know how I can write, more to my ramblings, this long. But author-nim, thank you. Thank you for all the emotions you manage to wake inside me. I really really love your writing. Not only the plot, but the emotions in your writing that you put. Ah I don't know what its call, but I really admire your writing style. So, thank you and keep going and have a nice day!

Chapter 23: Reading this chapter brought me a lot of emotions. It feels like I am at the edge of mountain while reading the next sentences. It catches reader's attention. At first I thought that Wheein is already dead but its not. Chapter 22: My heart clenched just reading this story especially the time I read about Wheein's father and how the accident happened. Wheein and Moonbyul's feelings are valid. They both experienced different kind of pain from their lost loved one. I love the conflict but it hurts like hell. The father of Wheein is one of the reasons why Yongsun died. Fate had been terrible for the two. They were meant to meet but not meant to be together. They can't push aside each others struggle and pain. It will be a never ending conflict to the two of them if they will push through their relationship

Chapter 22: Aaaaahhhhhhhh MY HEART
Istg if wheebyul doesn’t end up together im gonna throw hands 😭😭😭 I love this story and truthfully like I get both sides. Neither side is wrong for feeling how they feel. The guilt that wheein has is so heavy like I get why she would be uncomfortable and want to break it off despite the fact that she loves her. This story hurts. Even if they part I feel like it will take forever for byul to recover from losing. Not only ONE (not by choice) lover but her SECOND.as well and walking away (their choice). Like how is she gonna find someone else. Like I won’t be surprised if she s traumatized because everyone she loved left her both willingly and unwillingly. Wheein too like ughhhhhh she also deserves so much happiness and peace. I hope that they just take a long long break, byul learns to forgive wheezing father and wheein learns to be okay and at peace with her fathers passing. I hope both heal and come back together. Authornim you can’t just let them part like that PLEASEDE
