Wheein doesn't mind.

Wheein doesn't mind that she always have to text Byul first to receive a text from Byul.

Wheein doesn't mind that, more often than not, the only time Byul goes to her is when she wants to go to the cemetery.

Wheein doesn't mind that the very rare moments that Byul asks her to have lunch with her, Yongsun is all they talk about.

Wheein doesn't mind that Byul would compare her to Yongsun, every now and then.

Wheein doesn't mind that sometimes it feels like Byul ignores her presence because she's too focused on Yongsun's absence.

Wheein doesn't mind that Byul rejected her offer to have dinner on Valentine's day.

Wheein doesn't mind because she didn't have the right to demand anything from Byul.

Wheein doesn't mind.

Wheein doesn't mind.

Wheein doesn't mind but her heart sure does.

"You don't have to do that, Unnie." Byul tells Joohyun. She didn't want to bother her friend.

Joohyun volunteered to cook a healthy dinner for Seulgi and Byul since the two always eat take-out food. She's worried that they aren't having the proper nutrition they need.

Joohyun remembers how she had Yongsun by her side when she tries to scold the two about it. And now that Yongsun is gone, she took it upon herself to always keep Seulgi and Byul in check.

"Joohyun, I'm not having dinner here." Moonbyul informs Irene.

"That's okay. We can put it in the refrigerator so it doesn't get spoiled." Joohyun replies. "Then you can microwave it later."

Byul still can't get over how adorable it is that Joohyun has this mother complex going on, just like her cousin Yongsun. She figures it runs in the blood.

"Seulgi and I can order a take-out, you know?" Moonbyul reminds her, as always.

"That's exactly what I was avoiding." Irene points out. "When was the last time you ate something homemade?" she asks knowingly.

Byul couldn't even remember. In fact, she doesn't remember when was the last time she ate dinner on time, or at all.

"Exactly." Joohyun concluded, knowing that Byul doesn't have an answer. Irene then remembers that Byul said she's not eating dinner at home so she probably has plans, which is rare considering that Byul has grown to be anti-social. "Do you have a date?" Irene asks, closing the refrigerator to focus her attention on her friend.

"Noooo." Byul dragged the word, defensively, if you ask Irene. "Why?" Byul questions. Where did Irene even get that idea?

She notes how Byul sounded like the idea of having a date is ridiculous. "Nothing." Joohyun shrugs. The smile on her face tells Byul that she doesn't believe her.

"I don't have a date." Byul repeats. "And I'm not planning to go on one anytime soon." she adds, just to strengthen her case.

"It's not such a bad idea to start dating, Byul." Irene adds in. She doesn't see anything wrong with it, but she understands why Byul might think otherwise. "I'm sure Yongsun would be happy to know that you're getting yourself out there, again." she comments.

If it were Seulgi who brought up Yongsun's name, Byul would've snapped at that moment. But it's Joohyun, and she has always been a bit biased toward her; not to mention that Byul's a little intimidated by her. "I doubt that." she argues. "You do know how jealous Yongsun can get, right?" Byul reminisces, a smile creeping up her lips as she remembers.

Joohyun smiles when she saw a smile on her friend's face. Normally, remembering Yongsun always brings tears to Byul, so she's glad that's not the case right now. But somehow she's sad that Byul still thinks it's too soon for her to date. It's not that Joohyun is eager for Byul to find someone else. She's just worried that Byul might always think it's 'too soon'.

"But that was when she was still here." Joohyun carefully replies. "I'm sure she'd want someone you can grow old with. Someone who'll take care of you."

Byul stifles a laugh, but it lacked humor. She isn't even sure if she wanted to stay long enough to grow old in a world where Yongsun doesn't exist. But she doesn't say it out loud, she knows that would just worry her friend."That's why I have you and Seulgi." she answers instead.

Joohyun shakes her head. "You know that's not what I meant. Seulgi and I don't count."

"Why?" Byul questions. "You're not going to leave me, are you?" Byul pouts, trying to get Irene's sympathy.

They both know they'll always be there for each other, and that's what worries Joohyun, because what if Byul really thinks that's enough?

Irene sighs in defeat. "Shut up." she says dismissively. She knows that their conversation won't get anywhere. "Of course not." she still confirms, just in case.

Byul flashes a triumphant smile.

"But where are you really going?" Joohyun asks.

"I'm just going to visit Yongsun." Byul replies, much to Irene's dismay.

And that was the end of that conversation, Irene concludes.

Seulgi then comes into the kitchen hurriedly. "Byul!" she calls out.

"What?" Byul replies.

"You turned down Wheein's offer to take you out

Chapter 23: Quite an emotional ending. The other week I was reading about how, infrequently, organ transplant recipients seem to take on traits of the donor, read through this with that idea in mind.

Chapter 23: When I found your story, I read it all in one night, till ch. 22, and I can hear the crash sound of my heart when its ended with, "...maybe this won't work". I thought really that was the finale like, "we will not getting all in our life", I hold on it.

But then, after awhile, I check my subscription page, and your story was on top. I remembered the title tho. And like a flashback, I remember all the plot. And I checked, just to make sure its really another chapter, the closure, not only an update from author, and, and I feel soo overwhelming now. I didn't know I am too invest with this story.

I'm not a writer I really don't know how I can write, more to my ramblings, this long. But author-nim, thank you. Thank you for all the emotions you manage to wake inside me. I really really love your writing. Not only the plot, but the emotions in your writing that you put. Ah I don't know what its call, but I really admire your writing style. So, thank you and keep going and have a nice day!

Chapter 22: My heart clenched just reading this story especially the time I read about Wheein's father and how the accident happened. Wheein and Moonbyul's feelings are valid. They both experienced different kind of pain from their lost loved one. I love the conflict but it hurts like hell. The father of Wheein is one of the reasons why Yongsun died. Fate had been terrible for the two. They were meant to meet but not meant to be together. They can't push aside each others struggle and pain. It will be a never ending conflict to the two of them if they will push through their relationship

Chapter 22: Aaaaahhhhhhhh MY HEART
Istg if wheebyul doesn’t end up together im gonna throw hands 😭😭😭 I love this story and truthfully like I get both sides. Neither side is wrong for feeling how they feel. The guilt that wheein has is so heavy like I get why she would be uncomfortable and want to break it off despite the fact that she loves her. This story hurts. Even if they part I feel like it will take forever for byul to recover from losing. Not only ONE (not by choice) lover but her SECOND.as well and walking away (their choice). Like how is she gonna find someone else. Like I won’t be surprised if she s traumatized because everyone she loved left her both willingly and unwillingly. Wheein too like ughhhhhh she also deserves so much happiness and peace. I hope that they just take a long long break, byul learns to forgive wheezing father and wheein learns to be okay and at peace with her fathers passing. I hope both heal and come back together. Authornim you can’t just let them part like that PLEASEDE
