Jiyong heard a car came, he’s looking at his window which has the view of the side lawn and saw his father’s car.

In his hand is the letter he found at the front table, letters sent by his father’s assistant and letter that goes to the house—not the office must be a personal letter. Jiyong take a look at all of it, some personal bills and there’s one handwriting letter from a girl to her daddy long legs.

His hands was all trembling when he open the letter.

To: my dear daddy long legs.

Hello sir, I’m Lee Chaerin.

First of all, I really want to meet you and say thank you personaly, but it will be hard since I know that you are a very busy person.

Sir, this is my first letter to you and I am regretting that I never done it before. I should’ve sending you letter everyday because this is the least I could do to express my gratitude.

Sir, I had this dream of being a very successful person so you can be proud of me, but it has to wait because I took leave on my college due to personal matter, but don’t worry, I’ll be back and I already make sure that my scholarship will still valid.

Lastly, I am apologizing if calling you with a name of ‘daddy long legs’ will somehow offending you. I just don’t know what other name to call you, until several weeks a go, Mr. Kwon.

Jiyong drop the letter, she didn’t even mention Jiyong in the letter, she could, she could tell him everything, including what kind of jerk is his son, but she didn’t.

Jiyong walked toward his father’s office.

“Hey, son.” Mr. Kwon lifted his head while checking documents on his desk.

“H-hey dad.” He murmured.

“What happened to you? You look… sick… are you okay?”

“Yes…” he said. “dad…”

“Yes, son?”

Jiyong hesitantly put the letter on his desk.

“What is this?” Mr. Kwon took the letter.

They were caught in silence while he reads it.

“Oh, this is…” Mr. Kwon paused, “Well, you might don’t know about her, but this is—“

“I know her.”

“You do?” Mr. Kwon asked.

“The daughter of your mistress.”

“My what??” Mr. Kwon asked.

“You cheated with her mother, right? That’s why mom being alcoholic and sick, and Chaerin and her mother has to move to Japan because mom died.”

“What the hell you’re talking about??”

“Just admit it!!” Jiyong raised his voice.

“Where the hell you hear about that story??”

Jiyong paused, “The worker…”

“And you believe in it???”

Jiyong didn’t say anything.

“Do you have any idea who is Chaerin’s mother???”

Jiyong stunned.

“She’s the one who save your mother’s life!”

The world around him seems to move around very fast when his father told him the real story and all he could do is just feeling his own tears streams down.

Jiyong falls on his knees.

“D-dad…” he murmured, “I hurt her…”

“What? What did you do to her??”

“I hurt her…”

“KWON JIYONG WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER??” his father grab his collar.

“I hurt her…” he cries, “I hurt her…”

SLAP!!

“Dad! Stop!!” Dami runs towards the office, “dad stop, please!”

“DAMI BACK OFF!” Mr. Kwon yelled.

“Dad, whatever he did, he loves her, I know he loves her.” Dami cries.

Mr. Kwon paused.

“I know he’s in love with her even though he hurts her, please… Dad… stop…” Dami pleaded.

“So she’s innocent…?” Jiyong suddenly chuckles, “She’s innocent…”

Mr. Kwon puzzled.

“Hit me, slap me, slap me all you want Dad… I deserve it…” Jiyong laughs, “I deserve it all…”

“Jiyong…” Dami is anxious.

“Punish me…” Jiyong look up to his father, smiling, “but don’t kill me… because I’m gonna be a father soon.”

Mr. Kwon release him, his hand trembling while Dami gasped and covers from the words she just heard.

“Kwon Jiyong… you.”

Jiyong laughs, “Chaerin is pregnant… to my child… thank God… I… need to find her… we can be together now…”

Jiyong tried to stand up, but then he stumbled and fall.

“Jiyong!!”

Xin looking at his phone, he just got called from Dami, she told him everything and she was at the ambulance bringing Jiyong to the hospital.

Xin inhaled before he took his car key and driving to Suho’s house.

Chaerin finished doing dishes and about to continue making amigurumi when Dara calls.

“Hello?”

“Chae, I’d be home a little late.” Dara said.

“Again?”

“Yes, there are so many things to do… all the database are messy.” She sighed.

“Let me help you, unnie, you can teach me and I will work as your assistant.”

“Later when you and the baby is healthy enough.” Dara said.

“We’re good, and I’m bored as hell to be home all day.” Chaerin replied.

“Alright, alright, we’ll talk about this later when I got home, ok?”
