The fanmeeting opened by lively background music and L come out wearing a grey suit, looking all dashing and mesmerizing. The girls started screaming on top of their lung the moment he greeted them, including Eunji despite Sunggyu’s side-eyeing her. She encouraged Sunggyu to follow the fan chants which he refused vehemently. She had so much fun teasing him.

One and half hours later, Sunggyu begged her to let him out. She let him go since he looked so done with everything, besides the last segment was supposed to be the lucky draw and the photo session. Right after Sunggyu left his seat, the MC announced the winners from the lucky draw and Eunji one of them. It must be her lucky today. The winners granted permission to take another picture with L after the event over.

So, here she stood in front of L while six other girls lined up several feet away from her, waiting for their turn. “Lemme holds it...” L offered to hold the phone when she was struggling to take a selfie with him.

“Oh ok, here...” she handed her phone to him, feeling excited and nervous at the same time. Well, who wouldn’t, right?

“Um...you should unlock the screen first...” He said again with a blinding heartthrob smile.

“Huh? Uh, I’m sorry...” Eunji chuckled nervously, then grab her phone to unlock the screen but accidentally touch the gallery thumbnails in the process and displayed several pictures of Kim Sunggyu and her. “Ups, sorry again...” she murmured low when L’s facial expression changed.

“Can I see that again?” he asked her, rather coldly.

“Huh?”

“Your pictures...” Eunji blinked, confused. “If you don’t mind, of course...” he added again with another heart-fluttering smile. 

“Oh, sure, it’s okay...” she showed him the pictures of her laughing at Kim Sunggyu’s sulky expression. To her surprise, he grabbed her phone and take another look at the picture.

“Your boyfriend?” he asked while scanning the pictures.

She blushed slightly. “Ah, no, he’s not...” she waved her hand at him, feeling a little shy.

He raised his eyes at her. “Is he coming here with you today?” he asked afterward.

“Yes, he’s waiting outside, he can’t take it anymore...” she giggled, recalling the image of Sunggyu’s begging her to let him out. 

L chuckled too. “Can I see him?” She stared at him, baffled. Why would he want to see Sunggyu all of sudden? “Ah, he seems like a really nice guy, accompanying her girl to this kind of event, it’s rare you know...” he chuckled again. “Do you mind to introduce us?” he asked again with a strange-desperate expression.

“Of course, I don’t mind...sure...”

“Ok, I’ll go talk to my manager to let both of you wait for me at the backstage...” he said afterward as strolled away toward his manager but after several steps, he turned around and said, “Ah, keep it secret!” he winked at her. Why? She thought. “There’s a chance he didn’t want to meet me, can’t risk him running away...” L answered her silent question. For a second he looked dead serious, but then he gave her the famous dimple grin. She chuckled because she assumed he was joking around. If only she knew how wrong she was.

After thirty minutes staring at his phone screen in the corner of the hall, he heard a loud crowd coming his way. “Thank God, it’s over...” he murmured and looked around to find Eunji and her girl. “You’re done. Let get out of here...” he said when he found her.

“Not yet. I haven’t taken any pictures. So, the staff said I can get another chance and let me wait at backstage...” she explained to Sunggyu excitedly.

Sunggyu let out an exasperated sighed. “Fine! I’ll wait for you outside with others...”

“But I don’t know anyone there and it still 30 minutes early...” she said again.

“You had a pass right?” she nodded. “Then it’s oka—”
