Friday - 1 more day till the dance.

3rd Person POV

“UNNIE!!” 

“Lisa shut up please.” Jennie said in frustration, Lisa and Jisoo once again are running towards her with full speed while yelling her name. 

“Someone is grumpy today.” Lisa said in a teasing manner.

“Lisa stop it.” Jisoo said and Lisa immediately unwrapped her arm that was around Jennie's shoulder, which caused Jennie to snicker.

“Whipped.” 

“Nuh uh, it’s called being respectful towards your elder.” Lisa proudly said.

“I’m your elder too, why don’t you respect me!” Jennie said and proceeded to roll her eyes.

“Why are you being so grumpy today though.” this time it was Jisoo who asked.

“Y/N really had the nerve to tell me to play games with her last night, we only played a little, and she wanted to hang up to sleep. She acted like I was the one that wanted to play with her!” Jennie said in a whiny way and cutely sulk, thinking about what happened last night. 

Jennie was disappointed that Y/N wanted to end the call last night. Time had passed so fast without her knowing the two actually played for a whole three hours. Y/N felt bad and didn’t want to make Jennie stay up because of her, but she didn’t know that Jennie had really enjoyed their time, gaming and talking together. 

Lisa and Jisoo only gave Jennie a weird look, but shrugged it off anyway. Jisoo wanted to bring up about the private talk that she wanted to talk about with Jennie, but Lisa beat her to it.

“When did you ever play game?” Lisa said while eyeing Jennie up and down.

“Ever since we’ve been friends, Jisoo and I always begged you to play games with us but you always turn us down. I feel betrayed.” Lisa continued and Jisoo only nodded, agreeing with Lisa.

“I... I just feel like playing that day.” Jennie threw out a lame excuse that neither of them believed.

“Sure, how about you play with us today then?” Jisoo offered.

“No thanks.” Jennie quickly declined, which caused both Jisoo and Lisa to scoff at their obviously biased friend.  The three started heading to their class, and chatted about some random topics and events that happened at school.

“Are we not waiting for you little nerd today?” Lisa asked and stopped them all from walking.

“She has a name... It’s Y/N.” Jennie said and rolled her eyes, she was extremely annoyed, but she didn’t know why she was herself. Jisoo could only shake her and tugged on Lisa 's shirt, showing her a disapproving look.

“My bad, geez.” Lisa apologized.

“Whatever.” Jennie just scoffed and walked to class, ignoring Lisa on the way.

“I didn’t mean it like that, why is she so touchy when it comes to Y/N.” Lisa sulked, and felt sad that Jennie is now ignoring her.

“You should’ve learned from the last time that you said something like that.” Jisoo could only pat Lisa back comfortably and sighed. 

“She's so sensitive, damn.” Lisa could only say and trail behind Jennie like a lost puppy.

Jennie immediately approaches the sleeping girl as soon as she walks into the classroom, the reason why she has been going to class early, but she won’t admit it. She noticed that the girl looked exhausted today, so she decided to not wake up the younger girl. As she was admiring the girl's side profile, she was interrupted by Y/N annoying ringtones. She quickly grabbed the phone and turned off the ringer to prevent it from waking Y/N from her slumber. She couldn’t help but look at who was spamming Y/N’s phone. 

Wifey: Are you  in school right now?

Wifey: Can you text me during break time?

Wifey: I miss you. 

Wifey: Why are you not replying? Shouldn’t you be up by now?

Who the heck is wifey? - Jennie

Jennie wanted to see more of the messages sent but unfortunately the phone is locked and Jennie didn’t want to invade Y/N privacy. However, that was all she could think about as the students started pouring in. 

Jisoo and Lisa walked in class, and were welcomed with Jennie's gloomy face and a sleeping Y/N by her side. The two just shared a look, they wanted to ask Jennie what happened but decided to keep their mouth shut and went back to their seat. 

“What’s wrong with her? Was she still mad at what I said?” Lisa asked Jisoo.

“I don’t think so, she looks more grumpy than mad.” Jisoo observes Jennie for a little more before turning her focus back on Lisa. 

The bell that rang to indicate her class will be starting in five minutes woke Y/N up, and she was surprised to see a quiet Jennie sitting by her. Normally, Jennie would be the one waking her up, Y/N could sense the tense atmosphere, so she decided not to talk to Jennie.  Y/N thought it was one of those bad days, and Jennie probably wants some quiet and alone time. However, Y/N action only made Jennie grumpier.

Jennie continued to pout and sulk for the rest of the hour. Jisoo and Lisa were about to approach her during lunchtime, but she sent them a glaring warning to not disturb her. The two decided to leave Jennie alone with her Y/N. 

“Are you not gonna ask me what’s wrong?” Jennie said in a sulky way and crossed her arm while facing a different direction.

“You seem grumpy today?” Y/N stated in an unsure voice.

“Yes, but aren’t you gonna ask why?” Jennie retorted.

“Well, I just assumed you’re in a bad mood and probably don’t want to be bothered by me.” 

“Don’t assume and actually check on me.” Jennie continues to sulk and act as if she was mad at Y/N. Which made Y/N feel bad that she wasn’t paying attention to her friend.

“I’m sorry Jennie, I just thought you were maybe tired because of last night?” Y/N tried her best to sound sincere and looked at Jennie with sad eyes. 

Jennie couldn’t help but soften at Y/N look and what Y/N had just said, but still decided to put on the act to tease the girl longer.

“Uhm I’m still mad.” Jennie said with her arm still crossed.

“Jennieee.” Y/N cooed and softly tugged on Jennie's arms. 
 

“Promise you won’t hang up on me first, ever again?” Jennie said, finally facing Y/N direction.

“Promise.” Y/N half heartily agreed.
