--Six: Reunited with an Old Friend

“I don’t think he is here, Yixing” Suho furrowed his eyebrows, dusting his pants unconsciously

“But I could not think any other place besides here. He used to live here” his unique voice was echoing across the room, Suho started to shiver at the creepy feelings when Yixing silently chuckled at his boyfriend’s cuteness

“He used to live here. He does not live heren anymore. So please, let’s get out. I am scared!” Suho screamed

            But he soon regretted his action. The words echoed in the house as if someone just speaked to them. Suho immediately grabbed his boyfriend’s arm and moved closer, hidden himself and shrank a little beside Yixing. The other could not stop to think the action is cute, Suho is the class representative yet he is very weak with something horror.

“Why don’t you wait outside while I am looking for some clues here, babe?” Yixing gave him his best soothing smiled, Suho’s back so the latter would feel a little bit safe

Suho shook his head, tightened his grip as he said “No. Don’t. I am the class representative, I should protect you. No matter what” he said firmly, but jump a little as he saw a rat running passing his feet

            Well, Suho is a coward, but he is the class representative after all, the responsible one. Did not want to longer anymore, Yixing nodded and let Suho tightened his grip. It will make bruises, he is sure, but he is a healer for something. So he didn’t worry at all, indeed he smiled brightly at his boyfriend.

            As stated before, Kris is their former classmate. He came to the Academy six years ago, while they were still kids. They became friends, studying in the same Academy for years until Kris decided to find more about his family.

            Kris lives alone since he was twelve.

            His parents are died for unknown reasons, thus make the custody fall for his aunt. He did not like his aunt, she is so materialistic. Knowing that Kris’s parents are somewhat rich, she did not let Kris to live a normal life. However, Kris is smart. So, after giving half of his heritage to his aunt, he decided to live alone in his parent’s house. As long as he could live alone, he would do anything.

            One year after that, he received the invitation from the Elyxion, telling him about the dorm and the other facilities. He never lived in the house ever again since he decided to move all his things to the Elyxion. Therefore, Kris hates the world except the Elyxion became public secret in the Academy.

            And that is when he found out that he has a younger brother, alive somewhere out there. Kris is panic, saying that the outside world is too cruel for his little brother thus he decided to find his lost brother. The Principal, knowing that they did not has the rights to separate the brothers, permitted Kris. That is the worst decision ever, because after that, no one ever heard about Kris anymore. He left without traces, as everyone might said.

“See, I am right. He is not here. Let’s get out. Yixing, please” Suho pleaded

            But the said man did not hear Suho. He is too concerned at the painting in front of him. He asked Suho to turn on the light, so he could see whatever it is clearer. There is, hidden behind the dusts and web spiders, he could see a pair of loving couple on the painting.

“Are they Kris’s parents?” he asked

Suho sighed, narrowing his eyes as he tried to remember when he saw the couple before “Yes. They are. Kris has their photo in his room back in the Academy, the room that Chanyeol and Baekhyun occupied right now” he explained

“Their faces are familiar” Yixing said, as he tried to remember any news he read before “The couple are tragically killed by unknown organization fifteen years ago”

“Yes I know that they are dead. But, can we talk about something like this, later?” Suho asked, he really did not like the topic right now

“Oh, why not?”

            Suho felt his body tensed, from frightened to shock, then he felt a gentle grip from his lover hand. Yixing is as tensed as him, but he maintained his facial expression very good. There is a man in front of them, standing as intimidating as always, he looked at the couple with a smirk, a disrespectful gaze they ever see from his friend.

“Yeah, why don’t we talk about the news about the Academy that killed my parents? Is that a taboo for their students? Glad that I am not one of them anymore, I guess?” Kris asked with the most unfriendly gaze they ever saw

“Now, open your mouth, say ‘Aah’” Jongdae said, rolled his eyes as the spoon processed to enter the other’s mouth with force

Baekhyun coughed, giving the other a death glare before swallowed the food and said “Could you please be more gentle, oh my dearest friend” he scoffed “Give me a tissue, look what have you done. All mess!” he shouted as the said friend is lazily wipe the mess on Baekhyun’s lap

“That is because you are a slow eater! Could you just open your mouth and swallow and open and swallow and open and-“

“For your information, human needs to chew!” Baekhyun glared at Jongdae again before yelling another cursing “No, stop protesting. Just give me another spoon, I am hungry!”

            Baekhyun is doomed. He really wanted to eat right now, but thanks to his casted hands that he could not even lift a spoon on his own. And this will be happened for three days, he could not stop himself to groan.

            Normal people will heal for months, just be grateful that the Academy has Yixing.

            He reminded himself on Luhan’s words and mouthed a thank you unconsciously to the fact. Whoever Yixing is, he hopes that the guy would be back soon. He needs to heal his hand before he is starving to death.

 “Are you done? Can we continue?” Jongdae asked, slightly irritated when Baekhyun did not give a fast answer

“Done. Give me more. Gentle please” he added

            Jongdae rolled his eyes and started to feed the boy again. He lifted his spoon on midway, only to fall miserably on the floor because certain someone just startled him. Baekhyun groaned at the scene and let out another cursed words.

“Oh sorry. I t-thought-” Chanyeol abruptly open the door, earning a death glare from Jongdae

“You thought what? Geez! You know what Baek? I am done with this. You, here, take this!” Jongdae ran to the other man as he offered the food on the plate to Chanyeol’s hand “I am late for my date. So, please feed that hopeless child over there. I will be back in one hour, okay? Baek please don’t do anything stupid, I don’t leave you okay? Just one hour. Now, bye!” He dismissed himself before vanished out of the room

            Chanyeol looked confused at the plate when he looked at another boy in the room. Baekhyun lay down on their sharing bed, flashing a shy smile. Then, he looked at his hands, he sighed. He literally forgot about the incident hours ago.

            Baekhyun broke his hands, it is casted thus he could not use his hand.

“Y-you don’t need to, if you don’t want. I will just wait for Jongdae” Baekhyun suggested contrary with the growling on his stomach

“Nah, I don’t mind. Half is my fault actually. Wait, I will change my clothes first”

            Once Chanyeol change his clothes, he is back with a plate on his hands. Baekhyun hardly positioned himself so he could sit properly. Chanyeol is not Jongdae so he needs to look neat.

“What did the principal said?” Baekhyun asked, after Chanyeol feed him a spoonful of his food

Chanyeol let out a chuckled, looking at the plate before added “He talked about you actually” then another spoon

“Me?” he chewed the food as Chanyeol continued

“You are the unexpected student, remember? He asked about you being my roommate. Now, another ‘aah’”

He unconsciously opened his mouth, chewed it fast and asked again “So, what did you say?”

“You are nice” Chanyeol took another spoon and feed it to Baekhyun “What should I say? That I asked you to break the rule together the first time we meet?” he teased the other

“Well, what else?” he likes the topic, Chanyeol talking about Baekhyun

“I said that you came here with a strange brochure that accidentally got burned by me. Well, the principal got mad, he is not Suho, but I thought me burning something accidentally is not a question anymore” Chanyeol chuckled and added “He asked me the detail about the brochure”

“Nothing is special actually. Unless-“ he stops when Baekhyun coughed a little so he hurriedly took a glass of water

“Unless what, Yeol?” Baekhyun asked, between his coughing

“Never minds. Stop talking, okay? You are a mess” he chuckled at how Baekhyun eat “Now, aah” he added to the pouted Baekhyun

“You should not come here, Chen. I thought that Baekhyun needs you” Minseok said, looking the grinning Jongdae

“He has someone else. Besides, I don’t want to cancel it or what, I want study” Jongdae answered, he secretly changed the word you with study

“Well, alright. Come in” Minseok asked, letting the other to come

            When Minseok asked Jongdae to enter his room, he forgot for a while that the psychopath is his favorite senior’s roommate. So, he kind of startled when he saw Luhan there. He is grateful that the other insane boy is here.

“Hi, Jongdae!” Sehun greeted them with a smile, while Luhan said the same thing in unison with a snorted

            They actually make a good couple. Jongdae thought.

            Well, he would not say that in front of Luhan, unless he wanted to end his day today.

“Hi Sehun, Luhan hyung” he greeted them with a bow

“What? So, library is moving here, now?” Luhan snorted, the question is clearly for Minseok, but Sehun answered it

“Is not? I thought here is library when I saw Minseok hyung’s books” Sehun said, pointed at the piles of books that Jongdae just noticed

“Shut up. I am not talking to you” Luhan glared

“Oh, but I like answering your question, hyung” Sehun said, clearly not effected by the other glared “Your eyes are sparking again, it is cute!”

“No one called me cute!” Luhan shouted in anger, ready to grab his pocket knife but Minseok stop him with a shot of ice crystal

“Stop being childish, can you?” Minseok said “-and yes, I am talking to you too Sehun. Chen is here, behave all of you!” he glared

“Who is Chen?” is Sehun question that Luhan answered immediately “that boy pet name”

            See, they actually make a best couple.

“Don’t mind us, Luhan. Sehun, stop teasing him, unless you want me to leave the room and that also means you are dead by that boy over there. So, just stop bickering for an hour, got it?” Minseok glared at them and looked at un-moved Jongdae softly “Now Chen, come here. I know we should cancel the study, but you said that you need it that much. I am sorry I have to say this, but when Suho is not here, I need to accompany this couple or else the other will died in no time”

            The fact that angry Minseok could change into soft Minseok in one second is another question for the other boy. But he did not care actually. He could spend time with his favorite senior is the point. So he smiled and nodded.

“Nah, time to shower” Chanyeol said happily as the other finished his food “Well, you need a help and I could not be the one. Wait until Jongdae is finished, okay?” he added and started to clean up the mess

            Baekhyun is messy eater, and it became messier when Jongdae feed him. So, when Chanyeol saw the mess they are made on their bedroom, he sighed. He asked Baekhyun to stand up so he could clean up the mess and tidied up a little. That is when he is happened to glance at below the bed.

“Please remind me to tell Suho about this, okay?” Chanyeol said, earning a confused look by the other as he tried to remove the broken things below the bed “What should we do with this?” he mumbled to himself

“Oh, that” Baekhyun remembered and shrugged his shoulders

            Baekhyun actually did not plan to tell Suho or anyone, as long as he did not glowing, he thought that is fine. However, his roommate insisted him to tell someone, and after looking at the mess he made, he is kind of agreed. It is not like he did not try to clean up the mess, he just did not know where he should remove the mess, all those broken things.

“Well, step back” Chanyeol said in concerned before piled up the mess and pointed his palm to the said mess “Good bye my favorite vase” he teased the other as he burned the things away

            Baekhyun awed at the scene, he dropped his jaw in amusement as the other took away the fire so the only things that is left are the dusts.

“Your power is quite useful actually” Baekhyun praised him

Chanyeol chuckled “Said that when I did not accidentally shoot fire to you. Well, it is done. Where is Jongdae? He should be here by now, right?” he asked “What is he doing actually?”

“Study” Baekhyun shrugged his shoulder and mumbling dating for himself “He will be here. Just wait a little longer, he has his words” at that, they waits patiently

            Now that they are practically not doing anything, Baekhyun wondered why he is at the Academy. The brochure is sent to them and it clearly proved is not coming from the Academy. Yet, the Academy still accepted them without much questions, as if someone has already know the answer and still let them in to prove something.

            He hopes that Suho has the answer to that.

“What do you mean by the Academy killed your parents?” Suho tensed, he did not like how the topic is going on

            He did not like the glare the other given to them either.

“Why don’t you ask your favorite Academy? They will answered you with some sugar on it, dumb” Kris mocked, surely did not like the others are fond of the Academy “What are you doing in my house? Get out. I don’t accept guests” he said, adding more from academy to him only and sending another glare to them “Get out when I said it nice, dumb”

“Who are you calling dumb? Me? Seriously-“

“Suho stop. Kris, we could talk. Let’s talk” Yixing immediately stopped them but the other did not even give a look to him

“Not you Lay. You are the nicest among them. Please just don’t make your image ruined” Kris sighed, unable to give the other a glare, but he still glared at Suho “So, what are you doing there? Get out” he said harshly

“No. We won’t” is Suho answered, he clenched his fist, shot another glare to the man in front of him “There are some assaultments on the students in the Academy. We are sent to search clues” Suho explained “The Academy-“

“You are looking clues on my house? What? So now the Academy accused me for doing bad things?!” Kris did not believe his own voice as he added “For God sake! I left the Academy to find my brother, not planning some evil plans!” this time, he glared at Yixing “Don’t tell me that you are in the same side too, Lay”

Yixing tried to explained, but the other already concluded for himself “And you just asked me why the Academy killed my parents, seriously? Hear a story from me, will ya?” he rolled his eyes, stomped on the ground and did not mind to turn on the lamp as he sat on the nearest sofa “Once upon a time, there is a boy who hate the world. It took everything he has, his parents, his brother, his family. Thus there so called organization that gave him what he starved so much, social life. Ever heard about nothing is free? That so called organization is the one who killed his parents, the one that kidnapped his brother”

“But, how?” Suho asked, literally confused at the story

Yixing sighed, his friend is surely miscalculating something here “Kris, you are wrong. I think there is something wrong here, look, the Academy-“

“-is the one that took my life away! Remember the time that I decided to find my brother? I left the Academy, or I thought so, but what came next, I started to resolve the puzzles here. I did not leave the Academy, it expelled me! They took my brother after I left. He- is- my- brother! Loey is my brother! They know that I left so I could find him, but who is I am kidding right now? They invited him to the Academy, seriously? They took him from me!” he shouted

“Wait, who? There is no Loey at the Academy” Suho looks surprised by the name mentioned

            He heard the name just the day before from Minseok.

            Who is this Loey exactly?

“Kris, I am sure that you are mistaken something here. Look, the Academy did not kill your parents or took away your brother. Someone is deceiving you, I am sure with this” Yixing reasoned, but Kris close his eyes with his palmed laughing maniacally

“You know what? I am done with this . If the Academy really think that I am doing a bad thing here, let me do what it want. I will be evil for you” with that said, Kris left the room

            He skyrocketed to the sky and left his friends in the house as they are stood there dumbfounded. There is a silence, and Yixing did not need to look at his boyfriend to know what it means. Yixing embraced Suho on his chest, leeting the other crying silently. Suho rarely cried, but for Kris, he would. Yixing is right, their friend, Kris, really needs their help right now.

“Now you are new and fresh!” Jongdae shouted from the bathroom and added to the other man outside “Chanyeol-ah, could you please give me Baekhyun’s clothes in the cabinets?”

            Soon, a long hand appeared from gap on the door. Jongdae sighed at the scene, looking at the full-clothed Baekhyun who is troubled to stand up and the hand on mid-air. He rolled his eyes.

“Come in, please. My hand is already full, I could not reach you” he said

“B-but, is Baekhyun still na-?”

Chanyeol answered make Jongdae fall for his laughter, and a random lightning outside, if only Baekhyun did not kick him out so the latter would stop laughing “Oh come on, but he is funny” Jongdae said to Baekhyun only and earned a glare by that

“No Chanyeol” Baekhyun decided to answer “My body is too precious for Jongdae, I-“ he shot another glared to laughing Jongdae “-won’t ever being in front of him. So, please come in and gave me the clothes” he said

            Chanyeol felt embarrassed as he entered the bathroom. For barely ten minutes he thought that the other is in front of his friend already made him blushing hard like a beef tomato, more severe than Kyungsoo’s face when Jongin is around. Now knowing that the other is actually not at all, and to mention it to the other is-

            He hopes that he won’t burn the other’s clothes.

            But he did-

            The feeling is too overwhelming.

“Seriously, Yeol! That is my favorite pajama!” Baekhyun cried as he saw his favorite pajama is burned in front of his eyes

            Jongdae stopped laughing, turning his back to look at the burning pajama then to the burning Chanyeol. He said the word burning because Chanyeol’s face is burning red. He furrowed his eyebrows as the light-bulb in his head .

“Are you red because you think that Baekhyun is all the time?” he could not stop to ask, Chanyeol did not need to answer the question as the genius already has one in his mind “Nah, it’s okay. I won’t tell this stupid anyway” he added, looking at the clueless Baekhyun as he asked the other to lean on the wall “Wait here, I am gonna take another clothes”

            Jongdae finally decided to ask Chanyeol to wait outside so he could happily strip the other and change the clothes without worrying another thing’s getting burned. As he finished his work, he signed the other to help him opening the door. Chanyeol nodded, calming himself to turn the doorknob before letting the other come out from the bathroom, fresh and clean.

“Your love story will be blooming soon Baek, trust me” Jongdae whispered to clueless Baekhyun and added “Well, I thought it is time to sleep then. Kyungsoo will lock the room after nine, I should go back” Jongdae finally said, looking at Baekhyun before threw a glancing at slightly blushed Chanyeol “Good night Baek, see you tomorrow”

            Jongdae dismissed himself as Baekhyun said his bye. Chanyeol did the same, helping the other to close the door, as he turned his body and face Baekhyun. He is struggling with his blanket, thus made the other looked cute at the action. He leaned beside the other and saying goodnight.

“Want me to turn off your bed-side lamp?” Chanyeol asked

Baekhyun shook his head and said shyly “No thanks, I like to keep it light”

            As he gave a small smile, they gave up at the slumber

            He looked up at the same scene every night, the dark-endless room.

            He heard the same voice is calling him, that deep-husky voice.

            He saw the same eyes are looking at him, a pair of glowing red eyes.

            Baekhyun screamed, enough to make the other man beside him jolted out from his slumber. Chanyeol seems confuse, he the bed-side lamp in hurry showing that Baekhyun already bathed in sweats. This is the first time Chanyeol looked at glowing Baekhyun and he unconsciously awed at the scene.

“What is happened? Nightmare?” Chanyeol snapped out from the thought, as he leaned closer to the other

            Baekhyun did not answer the question immediately, but he nodded, enough to make the other question what kind of nightmare he was having. The terrible one, Chanyeol cringed at the thought, did not like the idea that the other has nightmare beside him. What kind of nightmare that could awaken Baekhyun’s power.

“No no Baek, it is just a dream. They won’t hurt you. They can’t hurt you” he tried his best not to touch the other as Baekhyun shivered badly

At that, Baekhyun stuttered with his words “T-the same d-dream, ev-every night. I-it is so scary Yeol. I-am scared. No-one is-s there, I a-am alone”

            Chanyeol cursed at his power as if it is not the first time he hates his power. The fire did not let him to touch someone else therefore he could not make any contact to make the other feel calmer. He felt a fire within him sparked when he is angry but he ignored it, he did not want to burn anything around Baekhyun right now. Thus, he closed his eyes and tried to calm his state before answering.

“You are not alone Baek. I am here, I am not leaving you. Now sleep, you need to rest. I am right beside you, you are not alone” with that, Chanyeol did the only thing that across his mind

            He sang lullabies to Baekhyun, humming the song with his deep-husky voice as Baekhyun started to sleep. He still hummed even after Baekhyun closed his eyes and stop shivering. Little did Chanyeol knew, his melodies made the other felt safe, thus any kind of nightmare did not affect him a bit.

            Baekhyun slept with a smile plastered on his face when Chanyeol sobered all the night with a frowned on his face. He did not like the fact that the other was having nightmare all the nights, moreover he was not there when the other was waking up from his nightmare. He took a mental noted to always be there every time Baekhyun wakes up.

            Hyung can wait, the practices can.

“The name Choi Jinri is in this room, sir” with that, a nurse open the door in front of them

            Yixing nodded, saying a thank you the kind-hearted nurse before entering the room. The same goes from Suho. He added a little smile before following his boyfriend. The nurse slightly blushed at the two, but being professional, she is dismissed herself from the room immediately.

            The next day after meeting with Kris, they decided to take Sulli a look. She is being hospitalized in a hospital near her hometown, so Yixing is confused why she did not come to the Academy after the incident. His healing power would save the other better, and here he is, decided to find out more about the condition.

            There is when they saw Sulli for the first time. They know Sulli by the real name is Choi Jinri, actually a nice girl, an innocent one. She has a bandage over her head, some bruises on her hand, and scratches on her cheeks. Her condition seems better but Yixing felt worse for not healing her himself.

“You are finally here, oppa” she said, somehow monotonous

            Yixing shivered at her voice, that soft-angelic voice those always out from her soft lips are now changed by the hoarse-hostile one.

He did not like the feel, thus Suho greeted “Hello Sulli. Sorry for not visit you soon”

“I-“ that voice is more unpleased even the other has plastered a smile on her face “-know oppa. That sick Academy won’t let you left the Academy so I kind of understand that”

            Sulli smiled widely, the same smiled that should be warm and angelic but turned out to be cold and evil.

She added “But now I think that the Academy want you to visit me, is there something I can help, oppa?” she added nicely both to Suho and Yixing who cringed at the voice

“The Academy want to-“ Yixing said, surely not liking the cold breeze around them “-make sure you are fine”

Sulli let out a chuckle, a really creepy one “Fine? After what they are doing to me, the Academy want to check on me whether I am still alive or not?” she let out another creepy laughter “I am not dead yet, if that is what the Academy want to know”

            What happened with them, Kris and then Sulli? Why they hate the Academy suddenly?

“T-that is must be a misunderstanding here, Sulli. The Academy-“

“Oh stop that Suho oppa. I don’t want to hear anything from the Academy anymore, besides I won’t go back to there. If you want to prove whether I am still alive or not, now go tell them that I am not that easy to be killed” she glared and continued to smile at the same time “The Academy really works hard to manipulate people’s mind. Glad to know that I am not one of them”

“I don’t know what are you talking about Sulli, you must be deceived or what but if you want to talk non-sense about the Academy now, I think-“

“Don’t you get it? Why do you think the Academy is hidden deep down in the forest, Suho oppa, tell me? They actually hid something from the world. Maybe it is not the right time for you to know, but I knew. They choose me to know” she let another glorious laughter that sounded really creepy “You could not choose your own fate, oppa. Don’t worry, they will save you soon. You are not alone there, we will save you. They already send the mightiest weapon to the Academy. They sent the cruelest destroyer. You will be happy to know this”

            At the scene in front of them, Yixing decided that is the time for them to back to the Academy. They could not do more, no when all people they met just insanely said that the Academy is kind of evil. Yixing sighed, grabbed Suho’s hand when the latter did not say much afterward.

“You are right Sulli, thank for the information. I think it is time for us to leave. See you later”

“See you later, oppa” she waved her hand and back to stare at the window

            Yixing closed the door, turning at his shock boyfriend who seems to get shock wave too much. He took his finger to the other wrist, feel the pulses. Safe.

“Let us back to the Academy, babe” he said, giving his best smile knowing that the later would feel safe to that

            But somehow it did not work like the usual. Yixing slightly frowned when Suho nodded his head without saying anything. Yixing knew this, the moment Suho did not say a thing, he is in his thinking mode. He did not like it a bit.

            The principal asked them to trust Kris, but when Kris said that the Academy is the one who plan all evil things, what should he trust now?

            Suho could not stop his train of thought, did not realized that his boyfriend is actually worried about him.

“I thought that you warned us not to come to the Academy, and what? You nearly killed someone from there, moreover, a witness? Seriously, Kris!” a man, with burned scar plastered on his face, screamed

            There are three people in the room. Three people who should not be there. Hidden well in the mansion far from the town, with a dragon statue claimed their territory.

“I could not help it Lu, it is a mistake. I am sorry. I just-“ the other man said, drown himself to deep sorrow as both of his hands palmed his face

“Could you do something with this Tao? Turned back the time or anything, we should do something with this, right?” the scarred man said, threw a deathly glared to the other as he thought hard

“We already back to the past. I could not just turned the time and back again. You knew the rules, Luhan. The future could not face the past, or the future would die” Tao sighed, looking at his miserable spouse

“So, what is the plan?” the scarred man, by now is known as the future Luhan, glared at the two, demanded the best solution they have

“As far as I knew, this Taeyeon witnessed Kris threw Jessica from the sky. Am I right?” Tao asked, earned a nodded from Luhan “Thus, make Kris is suspected, the now Kris. Well, it really changed the fate actually. They did not know about our existences, mine to be exact. Thus maybe, we should show ourselves? As the seventy two group that always haunted Suho?” Tao explained

Luhan shook his head immediately “They won’t believe us. I won’t. And what will you say next? Telling them that we actually came from the future to kill the Light, because this Light was destroying the Academy? No one survived except, me? Moreover, I will be dead the moment Luhan meets me” he hissed at the thought

“Remember our purpose here is to prevent whatever This Light is going to do to the Academy” he added

            Tao sighed, another fact.

“Say, what is in your mind when you threw Jessica?” Luhan asked in annoyance, looked at his former class representative

Kris did not take a glance to them when answered “Sh-she said something about an organization, her organization want to recruit me. I don’t know. I- am surprised, actually. The moment Jessica found me, and mistake me for someone she knew”
