--Four: One Fine Day

            He looked around. There is no light in the room. He did not like it at all.

            Blinded with the darkness, he raised his hands, groping everything he could reach. He stopped at the flat-cold-maybe a wall on the surface and frowned. He could not find any light source, either way his own voice. So, he followed the surface that seems infinite. He wants to cry. He hates this. He did not like being alone at all.

            He always has his friend, he need his friend, he need-

            He wakes up, shivering at the nightmare. He did not like his heart beating so much at that time and he could not stop his trembling as well. He looked around to look for someone who should be there, but found no one.

            Baekhyun sighed, closing his eyes again and hoping the fatigue still hit him hard.

“You what?” Jongdae raised his voice, furrowed at the question

“Ssh! You made him embarrassed” Baekhyun hit his friend, but is grinning like an idiot

“Y-you have heard it right. Jongin and I, we are boyfriends” Kyungsoo, with a blushed, confessed to the other boys

            Baekhyun could not help himself for not awing his newly found friend when Jongdae seems disagree with the sudden fact. He still has his furrowed eyebrows on his face when a random guy, that Baekhyun and Jongdae did not have any idea who is it, came to their table. The boy has tanned skin, with a grinned, it never be a smile for Jongdae and Baekhyun, plastered on his face.

“Good morning” he said, eyes focused on Kyungsoo only

            Baekhyun and Jongdae threw their face in unison to the said boy who completely turned into beef tomato. So, this is the said Jongin.

“G-good morning. Wh-what are you doing here?” Kyungsoo stuttered at his words and Jongdae rolled his eyes immediately

“Eating breakfast with my boyfriend? Is that really a question?” the tanned boy asked, pulled a chair next to Kyungsoo and grinning widely

“Bu-but you never eat your breakfast on the cafeteria before” Kyungsoo said

“-and I think I can start it now?” the statement appeared like a tease to Kyungsoo that make the other boy blushed, Jongin will eat at the cafeteria because of him, but then he added with a whisper so only Kyungsoo who heard it “You also did not say anything yesterday, but look at this, you make it official even without say anything to me”

            The grinned never left Jongin’s face when Kyungsoo could not stop himself for blushing hardly. Baekhyun wondered whether Chanyeol and him will become a thing meanwhile Jongdae has another thought in his mind. Then, they cleared their throat, successfully earning the new couple’s attention.

“Hi, I am Jongdae. Your- umm- boyfriend’s roommate” he said with a friendly smile that is replied with a nod by Jongin

“I am Baekhyun. We are the new students on Special Class. We are supposed to be classmate and I am Chanyeol’s roommate” Baekhyun could see Jongin frowned a little when he mentioned Chanyeol for a second before earning another nodded from Jongin

“My name is Jongin. I guess you already know” with that, he put his arm on Kyungsoo’s shoulder “I am his boyfriend”

“Geez, I hope they won’t do anything on our bed. I mean, I need privacy!” Jongdae whispered on Baekhyun’s ear, totally turned the other to laugh

            They all are on the cafeteria, when most of the student visited in the morning to have a breakfast. That morning, when Baekhyun realized that the nightmare caused him to be glowed once again, and found no one in the bedroom that he supposed to be shared with someone, he knocked Jongdae and Kyungsoo’s room and joined them to have a breakfast. Baekhyun did not like the fact that his roommate is already absent two rows in the morning.

“I think I need to go now” Jongin said after an hour has passed, looked at his wrist when the watch on there and sighed “I am going to visit you this lunch, bye Soo” with a pop, he disappeared

Jongdae raised his eyebrow “Soo?” but Kyungsoo is too busy with his blush so Jongdae turned to Baekhyun “-and you? What are you doing here?”

“I supposed to have a breakfast with you guys?” Baekhyun said more like a question to them

           Jongdae knew his childhood friend never eat his breakfast unless he shoved him with one. So, at the answer, and at the still full plate’s Baekhyun, Jongdae gave Baekhyun a look. And so does Kyungsoo.

“I- don’t like to be alone in the room” Baekhyun finally admitted

Jongdae sighed, give him a pat before asking “But you have Chanyeol, right? Where is he?”

            At the question, Baekhyun tensed a bit. He did not know whether to tell Jongdae about Chanyeol routine’s missing or not. He decided that Chanyeol would get a trouble if he told the truth, so he shrugged his shoulders before added.

“He is too hot for me. You know what I mean” Baekhyun gave him a fake grinning

Jongdae hit him lightly, “Seriously Baek, you are something. At least you are not glowing now” he said

            Kyungsoo gave them a question look and then Jongdae told him about the matter on principal’s office. As Baekhyun thought, Kyungsoo immediately gave him a supportive words saying not to worry and other supportive words when Jongdae’s loud laughter could be heard across the cafeteria. At least they did not found out yet about the newly broken vase in his room that is hidden perfectly beside the broken mirror yesterday.

“Good afternoon, Yixing hyung. I- need another help” Chanyeol greeted with a shy smile

            Unlike his perfect figure yesterday, Chanyeol now has most of his body bruised. Scratches could be found all over his face, all kinds of wounded on his arm, and slightly a burned tissue on his palm. Yixing took a deep breath. He knew he would find more when the younger put off his shirt.

“Closed the door and come here. I will heal you” he said, patting a bed beside him when the other did what he is instructed

            The older put his palm on Chanyeol’s bruised and concentrated. A ray of light came out from his palm, warming but healing. The light did not affect Chanyeol’s sensitive reaction with heat since the purposed is to heal the other body. Chanyeol felt warm, the happiest warm he ever felt, soon he felt his body become energizes and his smiles is back on his face. The bruises are nowhere to be found.

“I know that you are practices daily at dawn, but whoever trained you should restrain his power” Yixing warned “Should I tell them myself?” he asked

“No, hyung. I am fine. They won’t hurt me. They love me” Chanyeol smiled

“Are you sure? Because what I looked is a little bit different. They hurt you, enough to make you injured all time in the morning” Yixing seldomly found annoyed, but this time, he rolled his eyes in annoyance

“They trained me so I could control my power” Chanyeol defended and before Yixing could say anything, he added “Beside, they told me about you hyung, so that you can heal me” he ended with bright smile

Yixing sighed, face-palmed his face, this man could not be helped “Alright then, whatever you say. But once I got this out of my handle, I will tell the others. I will tell Suho, you got it?”

            Chanyeol nodded continuously, but at the mention of the other name, he frowned.

“About yesterday, I am sorry I overheard it, hyung”

“It is okay, you did not do it on purpose actually. Beside, you are in the place when you could not do anything. I mean, you are not fully healed yet yesterday. That reminds me, is your ankle got better?” he asked

“Not really, but please don’t heal this one. My roommate accidentally notice this and it is kind of awkward if it is suddenly got healed, even by you” Chanyeol said, he thought a little before added “But hyung-“

“Yes?”

“T-that Kris, who is it?”

            At the name, Yixing blinked twice. He did not want to talk anything about his lost best friend. It brought him other despair yet he did not want anyone to think bad about him. He remembered the way Suho told about Kris yesterday won’t give good impression and he hates it. So, he sighed.

“You know that I am former student of Special Class, right?” Yixing asked

Chanyeol nodded “Along with Suho hyung, Minseok hyung, Luhan hyung, and Kyungsoo. Why did you leave the class, hyung?”

“It started since Kris left two years ago to find his lost-brother and I found the purposed of my power are to heal, I work in the infirmary instead” Yixing sighed “Kris is other former student of Special Class. Unlike me, he left the Academy”

            With that, Chanyeol felt dumbfounded.

“Here is your room” Suho said, pointing at the door in front of him

            Soon, a popped could be heard, and Jongin appeared out of nowhere. That is the boy, Jongin grinned mischievously. As if they know each other for long time, the other boy beside Suho rolled his eyes, knowing perfectly that his soon-to-be-roommate will be annoying.

“-and that is your roommate, the power is teleporting” Suho ended his sentences

“I know” the boy mumbled

            Suho is confused first but by the looks from both of them, he finally asked.

“You know each other?”

“Kind of” Jongin, the grinned one answered

“Not really” whereas the flat one Sehun said at the same tine

            At this, Suho furrowed his eyebrows together, will they get along?

“Please be good” Suho warned both of them “You are roommate now and we are in the same class. So I will know if something bad is happened, okay?” he ensured the others, earning a nodded from Jongin and a scoffed from the new boy, Sehun

“Okay then” Suho felt awkward “I have another appointment. Jongin, I asked you here because I want you to accompany him to look around. Sehun, I am sorry, but I need to go, you can get along with Jongin, right?” Suho asked when Sehun nodded obediently, before he dismissed himself, he added to Jongin only “-and Jongin. Don’t leave him alone” he warned

            Jongin let out an awkward laugh as the older knew his trait to leave someone alone. Well, the laugh is vanished when Suho is nowhere to be seen. He turned to the new boy, raised one of his eyebrows, before asked.

“You want me to accompany you?”

“No thanks, I will asked Luhan hyung” Sehun said

“Seriously?” Jongin asked in amusement, his grinned never left his face “He did not know you”

“-yet?” Sehun added with a smirk “That is okay, I will introduce myself. It just a matter of fact before he knew me”

“Whoa, I could not believe this. Letting you to come to the Academy is really their mistake” Jongin awed at the smirk boy, by now has already waved his hand and left him

“-and there is Suho hyung said that I might not leave him alone. Seriously, I will go to Kyungsoo” Jongin put his hands behind his nape before disappeared with a popped sound

            Suho rushed to the room. He looked around and spotted Minseok on his chair. He took a deep breath before coming to the older.

“Close the door, we don’t want anyone to hear us” Minseok firmly said, his bubbly character has gone in this mode

Suho did what Minseok said before sat in front of the other “So, any news?” he asked

“Here, take a look. I know it does not make sense, but-“

            Minseok took out a device and gave Suho a look. There is a black and white video that is recorded by cheap CCTV so they could not get much. But at the scene, Suho knew what the older was trying to give.

“I-is that Sulli from the other class?” he asked worriedly and Minseok nodded

            Something is weird with the girl they are talking about. All students should come a week before the school started, and no one is allowed to go out. Thus, the class representative Victoria felt panic when their youngest, Sulli did not come at all. And now they are looking at how greatly someone wanted to kill Sulli.

“I-is she still alive?” Suho gasped, winced every time the guy hit the girl perfectly

Minseok nodded, closed his eyes and rubbed his temples “She is, but dying, on the nearest hospital. How could they attacked someone as innocent as she is!” he shout angrily “-but, no. That is not the point of showing you this video. Take a look at the guy who attacked her. His figures, his fighting skills, his all”

            Suho frowned, connecting the words Minseok trying to say.

“You do not mean-“

“That is my question. You are with him all the time, right?” Minseok asked

“Yes” Suho said, but gasped second later “N-not all the time. I visit Yixing, that time”

            They both felt on silence, thinking hard.

Then Suho break the silence “We could not do this Minseok. We could not accuse Luhan for something he did not do! He would not left the Academy to do something like this! He will not betray us. A-and beside, the scene is happened at dawn or twilight, I do not know. Luhan did not have that much time to leave the Academy. I ensured that!”

“Thus, I did not believe it myself. But his figure, his fighting skills and his all, that is resembled Luhan very much!” Minseok said in same agony “Unless” he suddenly asked “Did you remember that Luhan came from the orphanage, right? That sickly orphanage that forced all children to kill each other? To became a cold blooded killer?”

            Suho nodded, did not like the idea about this.

“Y-you think he developed the skills from that sickly orphanage?” Suho asked

“I don’t think any other alternative beside that. Maybe, they came from the same orphanage? Maybe the skills are from there? I don’t want to think the same either, Suho. You knew the solely reason why principal put Luhan on my room, right?”

“So we could assured that he did not bring any harm”

Minseok sighed “Five years shared a room with him, did not you think I will know if something is wrong with him?” and the question, they both knew the answer “I will, Suho. I will”

“So, to say something like that, I assumed that you already have a name in mind?” Suho carefully asked

Minseok nodded, “Before Sulli’s recovery, and I know that will take long times, I stuck with this name. That, strangely enough, shared the same ‘L’ with Luhan and came from the same orphanage”

“Who is it?”

“Loey”

            Luhan threw the books on the table. He does not like to study at all. His power is stable, his fighting skills are excellent, he is the best student in The Academy that know very well about his power even without reading trashes books. Why did he need to learn about useless courses like math and history?

            However, his only best friend yet his babysitter, asked him to study more since his grade has skydived too much. He did not care whether he failed at the class or not actually. But imagining he will be alone all time with the new class, he rolled his eyes and started to compile the books once again.

            This is so unfair. He is best with his power but with remembering. Why Suho has to be that diligent, Minseok has to be that studious, and the smartass Kyungsoo has to be that smart. Jongin and Chanyeol are the normal one around them, yet both of them could keep pace with them is another question thrown to Luhan. He just wished that, whoever the new students are as stupid as he is so he did not need to study more.

            Someone pulled a chair in front of him, made Luhan gasped. He glared to whoever it is. Turned to be another face he did not recognizes at all. He is probably another new student that Suho said this morning.

“Hi” the other greeted with a shy smile that definitely did not fit his flat expression

“What?” Luhan glared at him

“Wow, you are so beautiful, hyung” the other mumbled with a wide smile plastered on his face

            That is kind of- cute?

            Luhan shrugged the idea.

“What are you doing here? Who are you? Just get out from my sight” Luhan firmly said, earning another chuckled from the other

“My name is Sehun, Oh Sehun” your soon-to-be-boyfriend, why so hostile?

            Sehun added in his mind, but know for the best that will not sound friendly at all.

“I- supposed to be study. This is the library, right? I am new student here, in Special Class. Tomorrow is my first class ever so I thought a little bit study won’t hurt” Sehun gave another awkward smile

But the other kept glaring at him “I knew you. Suho told me. We are in the same class” Luhan explained with another hostile tone “But you are sitting on my table, so get out”

            Luhan unconsciously reached his pocket pants, grab his pocket knife. Sehun, by the heart, know the act very well thus he restrained himself a bit. Sehun looked at Luhan’s eyes that full with anger and sighed, he will not reach the other with this kind of hostile feeling.

So he said “Alright, I won’t make a scene. You better put that down, hyung” and for the first time Luhan give another expression, the shock one, that earned another chuckle from Sehun “Don’t try too hard hyung, you will passed this term. I assured you. Now, I am going to take my leave. Goodbye beautiful” Sehun dared to kiss-byed Luhan before sprinted out from the library

            Although he knew how nice Luhan could be, but Sehun did not want to get killed at the first time he met Luhan officially. So, he just run even before the other could process his kiss bye. Luhan, at the other side, still dumbfounded with the fact that the other knew his habit to grab pocket knife out of his pocket. The new student should not know about this, right?

            Run.

            He didn’t know whose voice that kept screaming on his mind. He wondered, the voice is familiar, but he could not remember and put a name on that deep husky voice, that special one. He looked around his surrounding, stop as the action made his dizziness became unbearable. He felt sick, nausea came out from nowhere. Eventhough the voice kept asking him to run, but all he could do is kneeling on his leg. He didn’t have any strength left.

            Run, you have to run, Baek! Run for yourself!

            His head is spinning when the world is swallowed in the darkness. He is there once again. In the dark abyss that seems has no end. His tears flowed continuously from the corner of his eyes. He is now a sobbing mess. With his palm, he erased the tracked of flowing tears and started to stand up, feel the strength came back again to his system.

            As he followed the surface once again, he felt a cold breeze blow behind him. Holding back his tears and try to end this freaking nightmare on his own. But there the man is, standing far away behind him, with a red wine hair that he did not fail to recognize. His red eyes are so welcoming.

            No, Baek. Don’t go there. NO!

            With that, Baekhyun open his eyes.

“Another nightmare?” Jongdae asked

            So finally, the long-waited first class is coming. Baekhyun is now in front of his best friend’s door, knocking their door like there is no tomorrow thus make the other snorted. Kyungsoo chuckled at the scene and let the other came in.

“What should we wear?” Baekhyun asked

“Class starts at nine, and it is still freaking seven. Oh my Gosh, why did I have such a good friend like you?” Jongdae mumbled, still burying himself in his pillow

            Kyungsoo laughed, hitting his roommate a little and asked him to take a shower before he swallowed him into the earth. Jongdae cringed at the threat, but do it eventually. Mouthed look what have you done to Baekhyun before entering the bathroom.

“Where is Chanyeol?”

“Where is your boyfriend?”

            They both asked in unison thus make them chuckled. Kyungsoo blushed at the term when Baekhyun actually felt a little worried about his roommate’s daily absent. Jongdae still in the shower, so Baekhyun use his time to dig his best friend’s clothes bag.

“We did not have many clothes” Baekhyun frowned

“Don’t worry, Academy will give you uniform. You are unexpected students so maybe they give you later in the afternoon. And eventhough we are not allowed to leave the Academy, we can still contact our family thus they send us things we need to have” Kyungsoo explained that make Baekhyun more worried

            He did not have someone to be contacted. There is Jongdae’s family, but-

            Well, he just needed to go out once again and buy his own things in the town.

“I am done. Fresh and clean” Jongdae said, out from the bathroom, still with sleepy eyes

“Are you sure you are even washing your face?” Baekhyun asked when Kyungsoo chuckled at the question

“Please do me a favor and get back to your hot roommate, you are really bothering my morning pleasure, Baek” Jongdae frowned

            At this, Kyungsoo is really laughing hard on the floor.

“Where is the class again?” Baekhyun asked

“There, in the second corridor we just left” Kyungsoo patiently explained

“Seriously Baek, you just asked that for the umpteenth times!” Jongdae cringed

            They headed to the class after having breakfast in the cafeteria, or for Baekhyun’s cases are after having been scolded by the other two to finish his breakfast. Baekhyun never remembered the paths, he never did. So, after being accompanied by Kyungsoo and Jongdae, they arrived at the class. Suho and Minseok are already there, sat side by side in the front row.

“Good morning hyung” Kyungsoo greeted, smiling at both of them

“Good morning Kyungsoo, Baekhyun, Jongdae” they both greeted, the fact that Minseok mouthed Chen made the other grinned

            Baekhyun and Jongdae bowed at them a little before greeted them. Then, Kyungsoo took a seat beside Suho, making the front row seats full. Baekhyun and Jongdae both looked at each other, the three did not notice that the other two did not know where to sit. When Jongin suddenly appeared out of nowehere, they jumped in unison.

“Hi!” Jongin shouted, earning a question look from Suho and Minseok

            They both did not know that Jongin and Kyungsoo are boyfriends. So, when Jongin appeared, become so friendly and all then took a seat behind blushing Kyungsoo, they made a face. Minseok is the one that asked, earning a grinned from Jongin and a frowned from Kyungsoo

“Finally official?”

“Well, kind of” Kyungsoo said shyly when the other grinned proudly and shouted a yes

            Before Baekhyun and Jongdae could react, there are some noises behind them. They both look at the back, and found Luhan with another tall-one following him. Their voices could be heard to the class thus all heads started to look at the new incomers. Luhan seems annoyed, with the new student following him behind.

“Stop following me!” Luhan glared at the new boy

“I am not following you, we are in same class, remember?” the other said teasingly

            Baekhyun gulped at the scene, Luhan looks murderous and look like is going to kill the other boy any time soon. He felt Jongdae tensed beside him. So he is not the only one who is afraid with Luhan. They both immediately back off to the blackboard, giving a way for Luhan and the new boy.

“No. You are following me since yesterday. Stop it or I am going to kill you!” Luhan shout angirily

“You won’t, hyung. I am lovely, you will not dare to touch me” with a smiled plastered on his face, the boy seems so innocent but stupid

“Who said that? I will” with that, Luhan nearly grab his pocket knife, but Suho stop him at the right time, shooing the other boy to keep distance

“Luhan, stop it” Suho warned

            Luhan seems red, filled in anger when he stomped the ground and sat in the middle of back row. He mouthed go away to the other boy. Suho looked at the new boy, then to Jongin and the rest of the class. Jongin mouthed a ‘what’ with such an innocent looks that made Suho sighed, so he moved his seat in front of Luhan.

“I will sit here so don’t you dare to use your ing pocket knife, Lu” with that, Suho move his seat in front of Luhan

            Baekhyun did not like it at all. Luhan being grumpy is the least he would like to see. He used to know the older as the most dangerous student here so he cursed himself for being unprepared, whereas the other new boy seems to enjoy the scene. Luhan being grumpy is a cute thing for Sehun only.

“What are you both doing? Just sit wherever you want” Minseok finally said, trying to chill out the room when he noticed Baekhyun and Jongdae do not pick up his seat yet

Jongdae gulped, pointing at Suho’s former seat beside Kyungsoo “C-can I sit there, hyung?” he asked

            At that, Baekhyun widened his eyes, mouthed a ‘traitor’ to Jongdae when the older nodded at the question so Jongdae could sit there.

“Just sit over here, Baekhyun. I know you do not want to sit either those two” Minseok said, patting the desk behind him that gladly Baekhyun took

            There is only Sehun now, and two empty seats beside Luhan. The new boy grinned at the scene. As the realization hit Luhan, he shot his eyes open and glared at Baekhyun who nearly got a heart attack.

“NO! YOU SIT BESIDE ME!” Luhan shouted and pulled Baekhyun’s hand to him

“Lu, stop it. You make Baekhyun scared!” Suho glared

“-but, Suho!” Luhan shout back, clearly not appreciated the other command “Or, no Kyungsoo, you sit beside me” he added

“I- I could not see well from the back, hyung” Kyungsoo defended himself

“-or Jongin!”

“I have the same bad eye-sight” he mumbled

“You, Jongdae. Sit here!”

Minseok sighed while rubbing his temples as he started to feel annoyed “No Luhan, he sits here beside me, with Baekhyun behind me. Sehun, you sit there, or there, whatever. And don’t try to negotiate with me Luhan, you know what I am capable of so just stop” Minseok warned

            With that, he earned a glare from Luhan and a smirk from Sehun. Baekhyun and Jongdae both gulped at their names are being mentioned when Suho rolled his eyes, clearly not amused by the scene. Jongin definitely hid his grin, not wanting the older to know his oh-not-so-surprised-face as Sehun happily took the seat beside Luhan. Kyungsoo just wanted to disappear from the scene. The latter actually did not want to move from his seat either.

“Fine, you can sit there, but I won’t talk to you so don’t make me” Luhan gave another glare to Sehun that the other took happily and he sit beside his soon-to-be-boyfriend

            The door is opened once again, revealed a very tired Chanyeol. He looked around and his face is brightened as he spotted Baekhyun and the only emptied seat behind him. He rushed to the seat, not minding Luhan and the rest of the class at all.

            -and their first class ever is started.

“I thought you do not want him to attend the Academy?”

            A tall man, by now is known with his panda eye is looking at the man in front of him. They both sat on the couch near fireplace at the living room, enjoying their glass of wine. However, the said man was sullen at the thought.

“He insisted, and you know how persistent he could be” the said man said

            He has a really good figure, his face is beautiful, if only those burned scar did not happened on his face. The only thing that kept him beauty is his sparkling eyes. The panda eyes, named is Tao, is laughing bitterly at the answer.

“I don’t. I never get to go to the Academy. They discarded the letter, you remember?” he smirked at the memory that will be vanished slowly “So, no news from Kris?”

“After Loey invited that Light boy? No. He is kind of mad, you know” the other said

“How could not he? He tries his best to make the past change but now he is, faced up with the same fate” Tao let out another bitterly and added “We work hard, Lu. But we will never change the fate. You also figure it out. Soon, the fate will be repeated again. Kai will confess to Kyungsoo and Sehun is going to be Sehun”

“Then, why did you ask? You already knew the answer” he snorted

Tao rolled his eyes, “-because he won’t stop. And I am kind of annoyed, right now”

“Bear it. You are spouses anyway”

“Don’t say that, now, I kind of regret that”

“As if you will regret ever marrying him”

“Could we stop?”

“Only if you will”

            With that, Tao snorted. He did not really like how the older mention his relationship. Knowing him very well that he never ever regret his choices of becoming a spouse. Anyway, he is the one who start this, the back to the past thing. So he is just going to enjoy this for a moment. At least, he is not being alone like the other. At least he still has Kris on his side.
