Staring at her peaceful sleeping face, Jungkook’s hand gently caressed her face, brushing the strands of hair off of it. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he got off Seul’s bed and headed for the window, gazing at the bright city lights which shone underneath.

“Hm…” A whimper echoed through the quiet room, catching the male’s attention instantly as he rushed back to her side.

“Seul?” Her name rolled out of his lips as soft and gentle as ever, his hand cupping her cheek as she slowly opened her eyes, and immediately landed on his.

“Jungkook… what am I doing here?” Asked Seul, her voice hoarse, and pained as she scanned her surrounding with furrowed brows.

“You… you fell… and we had to-”

“W-what?” She cut him off as she sat abruptly ignoring the slight headache, and the pain she could feel within her body as her hand went straight for her stomach. “T-then… my baby… the baby?”

“Seul.”

“I can’t lose my baby again, please tell me I didn’t lose it.”Her large eyes stared right at his, filled with pain, panic, and agony that he found himself getting immensely affected by, he caught her face in his hands and tried his best to calm her down, as he rested his temple against hers.

“Our baby is fine, nothing happened to our baby.” He said in a soft voice, emphasizing his first word while gazing at her beautifully dark orbs, before leaning to capture her soft lips with his, lovingly kissing her. And in a moment of realization, her fragile hands found their ways to his firm chest, and gently pushed the male, breaking their kiss.

Tears ran down her cheeks as she closed her eyes, stifling her cries by biting her lower lip.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” He gently brushed his thumb against her cheek, wiping away the tears staining her soft skin and planted soft kisses underneath her eyes.

“You know…” She stated and he looked slightly confused at her before he understood what she meant, letting another sigh escape his lips.

“Why didn’t you tell me? Why do you love keeping me in the dark?” His voice; he was broken, and Seul knew that, but what more was she supposed to do? Her hand caught on to his which was still on her face, leaning into his gentle touch.

“I wanted to tell you, but she…” Her expression darkened at the mention of Sungkyung causing Jungkook to frown in the process, for the dark look on Seul’s face was no longer anger, but rather fear… Something that he rarely witnessed. “She told you about her, and I got mad, but I was still going to tell you tonight… but then…”She stopped midway once again as she remembered the reason why their conversation got delayed… the reason why she was laying on that hospital bed, in a patient’s gown in the first place.

“But then I found out that this wasn’t the first time you hid your pregnancy from me…” Said the male with a pained expression on his face, betrayed by the secrecy of the girl whom he trusted the most. Adjusting himself on the bed, he reached for her hands, holding on them tightly as he studied her features. “Why? Why not tell me? Why did you just leave? That night, when you weren’t answering your phone, you were at the hospital right?”

It was quiet for a while before Seul found herself nodding to his words. “I was…”

“Taehyung knew?” He asked, and once again she found herself nodding to his questions, but this time anger started to cloud his eyes, causing her to jump to the male’s defense immediately.

“I was the one who told him not to; I forced him to keep quiet. So… blame me, don’t blame anyone.”

“That’s all I’ve been doing for the past five years… are you not tired of it? Why must you keep on complicating things?” Frustration grew in the male’s voice as he confronted the girl. “Is it hard to tell the truth? I know you loved me then and still do, I know you didn’t leave because you were cheating on me, I also know that you didn’t leave just to follow your dreams…” He stated the facts he got to learn throughout the past few months he got to spend around her. “I also know that you carried my child, and I’m 100% certain, that you were forced to leave.” By this last sentence the tears he had been trying to suppress had failed him as he lowered his head down.

“But you know what’s frustrating me the most? Is the fact that everyone knows why you left, but no one wants to tell me, even my mother… despite seeing how hard it was for me to deal with your absence; she remained silence.”

Unable to contain herself anymore, Seul wrapped her arms around the male, pulling him into a strong and firm embrace for she could understand the pain he had to go through, she went through the same without him, the only difference is that he had to spend his life in questions, why she left, how could she leave, and what made her leave?

“I was going to tell you, I was ready to tell you, but things happened… I had to leave you. I’m sorry.”
